I bought a container of hostess frosted donettes. It is supposed to have 24
donettes in it. The box only had 21. Even on the calorie information panel it
says 3 donettes equal such and such and there are 8 servings per box. 8 times 3
equals 24 not 21.
You owe me 3 donettes or an equivalent coupon to make things right. I do not
enjoy being ripped off.
I will not be buying anymore of your products and will spread the word until you
make this right. |

I was in New York City yesterday where the Hostess Twinkies box have the Triangle K symbol certifying the product as kosher. The boxes in the Chicagoland area are not so certified. As a consumer who only buys kosher products, I bought 3 boxes and carried them on an airplane home. I am a regular consumer of Hostess brands for my children who are of school age. I have just visited one of their outlet stores and to my shock, was told that they no longer make low fat twinkies or cupcakes. As a health professional I keep very close eye on my children and there fat intake. America is known for there obesity in children and adults. Therefore, I buy low fat so that my children are still able to enjoy those foods that their peers enjoy, and not stick out like a "sore thumb." I would like to comment on the quality, or rather lack of quality, on the
packaging of Hostess Cup Cakes.
On several occasions, I have found the cellophane wrapper around the cup
cake not completely sealed resulting in a stale and unusable cake. My
family purchases a box of cup cakes approximately once a week from Stop &
Shop or Shop Rite super markets in Bristol Connecticut. The frequency of
defective wrappers is at least one for every box purchased, with up to 3
defects in a box. The last occurrence was in a box marked with number
087364.
I write this e-mail to point out the issue so corrective action can be
implemented. If the packaging defects continue we will start purchasing
other desert items for the lunch boxes. |

They were not fresh, literally half the donut was hard and the other

We recently purchased a loaf of the "Wonder Italian Seedless Bread" and upon opening it,noticed there were black seeds covering the entire bottom of the loaf. They are not even the sesame seeds normally used. It appears that the process line was never cleaned between batches. Naturally, since we intentially picked out the seedless variety, it was quite a disappointment.

I am very disturbed by the condition of one of your products I recently purchased. The product is a Hostess Iced Honey Bun, and after purchasing the honey bun I realized that something had clearly taken a bite out of the honey bun. It is probably about the size of half a golf ball in volume and located on the corner. I did not open the package and the bite that is missing is not located in the originally sealed package. By examing the pastry I do not belive this was done by human teeth becuase the marks in the icing are very small and jagad which leaves me to believe it was some form of rodent that ate part of the pastry. I found this very disturbing due to the fact that I may have eaten this if I had not noticed this bite. The honey bun is still in its original rapper and in my possesion. I would like to be contacted about this matter as soon as possible. I would be happy to mail pictures or the honey bun upon request by a representative of the Interstate Brands Companies. |

I PURCHASED 3 BOXES OF CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES FOR MY KIDS LUNCHES. THIS BOX WAS NOT FRESH IT WAS DRY AND TASTED OLD THEY DID NOT LIKE THEM AT ALL AND THAT IS NOT THEM. Why is tit that one cannot buy hot dog buns in Florida (and many other parts of the USA) that have the slice in the top instead of the side? Buns that are sliced on the top are available in New England, and that seems the most logical place to put the slice particularly when toasting the bun. Also, a bun containing a hot dog will stand on the plate without rolling over and losing the hot dog as happens with buns sliced on the side. |

For the first time I purchased your hostess Chocolate donut holes...donut bites and they were terrible.
The last sale date on them says Jan 18 and I bought them last night which would be 1/8/03. The donuts were stale, dry and there was practically no glaze on them.
And what glaze was on them was wet and yucky.

Yesterday I purchased a box of Powered Donettes from one of their bakery outlet stores. One of them seemed a little bit hard so I looked at it closer and then I saw something dark inside of it. After breaking it open, I found several pieces of something black inside. I think that you need to see this stuff. I hope that there were not any pieces in the few Donettes that I already ate. I pulled them out of the freezer to bake last night, and much to our surpise, my husband bit into a little extra added ingredient. Are you the makers of homepride wheat bread? I have purchased two loaves
on Saturday. one is fine . In the other one we had found a big hair in
the slice of bread. I feel this should be called to your attention.
Home Pride is the only bread we buy. But this morning I was very unhappy
since I had company over for breakfast, and to have that happen was very
embarrasing to say the least.

Hi - quite some time ago, i wrote to complain about devil dogs that were sold stale in new york. several months later, i received two coupons for any drake product up to $3.00. we have shopped everywhere in milwaukee (where we live - the devil dogs were actually hand carried here from ny by my mom, because i asked her for my childhood favorite treat!), but we see no drake products whatever. the coupons expire 12-31-02 but there is no way we can seem to use them. can you either send a check, or send new coupons with instructions on where we can purchase your products in a local store? |
