I almost broke a tooth on a foreign object inside a Hostess Cup Cake (30 Apr 03). I wish to file a complaint with the company and was surprised to learn there is no telephone number provided on the product package or the web page. Perhaps my attorney can help with this. |

To Whom It May Concern: I live in Fresno Ca. During the week of April 28 of this year I visited my local Food Maxx Grocery Store and purchased a 16 ct value pack of Twinkies. I have been an avid Twinkie eater since the age of 5, I am now 35...that's a heck of a lot of Twinkies. This value pack I purchased recently, was my first experience at a bad Twinkie, not just one, but the whole box. The cream was different, and the consistency of the Sponge Cake was different. After 30 yrs, I think I know my Twinkies. Would like to know if there is an explanation for this, as I hope that the Twinkie formula has not and will not be changed.

There are some things that we take for granted.
The sun rises in the East and sets in the West.
We pay taxes.
Politicians say the most interesting things.
In New England, the weather changes by the hour and not by the day or week.
etc., etc., etc.
One constant in my young 50 years is that the Hostess Chocolate Cake with Creamy Filling always had the great chocolate taste, the little white squiggly on the top, and the delicious cream in the middle.
Two weeks ago, I was babysitting my grandson Sean. After lunch I showed him a box of Hostess Cup Cakes and I explained to him that these cupcakes would become a major part of his world as they have become of mine.
We carefully opened the box, removed a wrapped cupcake for both of us and set out to taste the finest dessert in the world.
To my shock, sorrow, and chagrin, our cupcakes did not have any Creamy Filling in them. We tested all eight cupcakes, nothing!
I am sure that he will recover from this experience.
I, however, are now waiting for the sun to rise in the West and set in the East.
Seriously, they make great products and I thought that they would want to know about the "creamy fillingless" cupcakes.
The number on the front of the box is: 087069 Expiration Date: Mar. 28

I just bought a loft of Wonder Light Bread. The bread has a brown swirl threw
it and on the top 1/4 of the bread it is all brown. Plus the bread is breaking
apart. Is this bread okay or not plus it is not as fresh as it use to be. The
last coupled of times I bought Wonder Light Bread it has not be as fresh
as it use to be. Are they changing anything. |

The new cup cakes are great. The cup cake and twinkies are usually so dry that I won't eat them.
But these new cup cakes are wonderful. If they stay this way then I will start buying Hostess foods again.
Apple Spice Cup Cakes are great, moist, and wonderful.

My daughter bit into one of the mini muffins this morning and bit into a 3/4 x 1/2 x 1/8 inch piece of foreign substance. It is brown and was imbedded just below the to top portion of the muffin. It was the first muffin in the package and we did not consume the remaining muffins.

I generally eat a package of Hostess Chocolate Chip Mini-Muffins each day. For
each of the past 2 days there has been a substantial piece of what I can only
describe as gristle in one of the mini-muffins. The pieces have been roughly
the size of a toddler's tooth.
I'm pretty disgusted, but would also very much like to know what this substance
could be. It's a hard, white/translucent, almost plastic sort of consistency.
I work in Horsham, PA, and obtain the Mini-muffins through a vendor that
services my company's snack room.

Dear Sirs, well, you advise that you invite comments and questions, and that Hostess is committed to providing quality bakery products, however, you do not make it very easy to find you, as it took many days and much research to find your email address, and still no 800 number. Now, I'm even more dissatisfied, and will make a quick complaint, as I have wasted more time than deemed necessary on this already. One of the Ding Dongs to my horror and disgust, appears to be 1/2 eaten and wrapped, per the company. 1) I say "appears", as I have not opened the package, realizing, that then you would think I did this, (as if I have nothing better to do), and 2), I'm not even going to touch it, and am only keeping it in case you want it sent back, (which I will not pay for). I'm sorry to be rude, as I am usually very sweet and nice, however, as I said, I have had a time finding you. Also, if this sounds over dramatic, and if you're wondering why I didn't just throw the darned thing away, firstly, I want my monies back, and secondly, if it was 1/2 eaten by someone in your factory, I'm assuming you want to know lot, box number, whatever. |

My wife loves your sweet sixteen donuts. But two days ago she was eating some of the donuts, she started to gag cause there was something hard in the donut and was stuck in her throat, once she got it out we discovered it to be a piece of a finger nail, she immediately began to vomit. She was really sick from this and now the site of donuts make her vomit. |

I recently purchased a package of donettes from a vending machine here at work.
My co-worker thought they also sounded good and immediately purchased the next
package.
I went back to my desk and put a whole donut in my mouth and then caught wind of
a smell eminating from the package. I immediately spat the donut out. And
smelled the package.
This is a smell that you would expect to smell when opening a can of paint. It
smells like paint thinner.
I immediately went accross the hall and discouraged my co-worker from eating his
package without first smelling the product. When he opened his package, those
too had the same strong smell.
I live in Indianapolis, and the markings on the package read APR 17 with the
numbers 62085 beneath the date.
While the product was out of date and even though the vending machine supplier
has agreed to give me a refund, the smell from this package was NOT the smell of
a stale product.
Clearly there is some other foreign substance present in these donuts. |

I recently purchased a bag of Buttermaid Powdered Donut Gem from my local grocery store. Upon taking this product home and opening it, to my surprise the donuts were hard as if the bag had a hole in it. I have been a consumer of Buttermaid products since I was child, and this is the first time I've encountered a brand that was unsatisfactory.
I truly hope that this is not a trend in your product distribution.

I purchased two Hostess Cherry Pies today. When my husband and I went to eat them we found them practically empty of any fruit. The crust was nice and flaky like always but the fruit was scarce at best. I was very disappointed in these pies. If there is a shortage of cherries then you should stop making the cherry pies. I will not be purchasing any more pies from you.

I purchased a package of the Hostess mini chochlate chip muffins; for my 3 yr old; as I usually do several times a week. When I dropped her off at daycare, she opened them and gave me one. I got in my vehicle and popped it in my mouth. As I was chewing it, I bit into something hard, almost breaking my tooth. It appeared to look like a piece of white rock. At work we have a high powered micro-scope, so we put it under there. Aside from the baked on residue, it appears to be some kind of quartz type rock. Now, had my 3yr old bit into this, she most certainly would have broken one of her tiny little teeth; not to mention, probably never wanting to eat these muffins again. I'm debating what to do about this issue; as it concerns me greatly. If you have any ideas on this matter, please email back.

Comment: After reading the last 2 posted comments I am compelled to add my point of view also regarding this website. The earlier post suggest that one can get better results writing to Ann Landers or Dear Abby to get results from IBC. I beg to differ, what you have in this website is one of the most powerful tools I have seen in quite a while, but you are not using it properly. If you mention this site in different chat rooms on the Internet you could bring this company to its knees. They would have to start paying attention to the crap they are putting out at their bakeries across the country and start giving the consumers a QUALITY product. Currently they do not have to invest in any training, technology or other means of measurements to ensure the public is not getting their money?s worth when they purchase their products. They are just dumping all their junk out to the consumers and really do not care about the individuals who complain. If they did they would put telephone numbers on their packages and try to find a way to address their concerns. But let?s get back to your site; do you know that by typing ?INTERSTATE BRANDS? in various search engines this site will rank: No. 1 out of 69,700 on YAHOO, No. 2 and 3 out of 2,340 on ALTA VISTA, No. 1 and 2 out of 66,100 on GOOGLE, No. 3 and 4 out of 179,291 on LYCOS, No. 1 and 10 out of 22,145 on HOTBOT, No. 1 and 2 out of 52,100 on Netscape, No. 1, 10 and 13 out of 22,100 on MSN, No.1 and 9 out of 78 on EXCITE, and No.1 and 2 out of 3,487 on AOL. Do you realize how much money companies have to pay to get this type of placement in these search engines?
I would like permission to let the public know how to find your site, this will probably increase your traffic and may result in higher costs with your hosting company but as a concerned employee of IBC I can help you pay.

In the face of the other issues you present in your website regarding IBC this one is minor. I bought some Hostess products that were not fresh. When I attempted to find a website or phone number of the company in order to complain I was unable to find any access to IBC. Your website is the closest
I came. Is there a way to contact this company? Is there a website I am not seeing or a customer comment line? It seems to me that a company that clearly has so many other problems would at least want to provide a fresh product to the public. Perhaps that is naive! Any information anyone can provide in this regard is appreciated.

Comment: I enjoy reading all the complaints about these products and this company, people stop and click on the top link on the left; it clearly states that ibc does not have a web siteand al this stuff you write on here does not get to ibcand they don't want it. All there bakeries have a toll free number, all you have to do is use your computer to find the bakery and and search around a little bit and you can find the 800 number. They will not even give these numbers out to their largest grocery chains and if they did they would need more phone operators than they would employees because the complaints i have seen didn't just start, this has been going on for decades and they want the problem handled where it oringinated at.Here's how they handle the problem, if you find a bug or a varmint or a body part in your product they want you to give it back to them and in its place they will give you a goody box of products, nice huh.Well this did nothing about solving the problem and nothing is said about it again, this happens all the timeand ole dumbass us well we just got some free product out of the deal so we are tickled pink. Well that bread with the bug in it you just gave it back to them , they got the meat back but are you getting the gravy this time , it may have came out of the same batch or mix. Nobody here is conected with ibc and they can't give you answers , if you want answers to your questions write to dear Abby or Ann landers in your newspapers they will find the answers for you and tell you who to contact or how to contact them. |

and it was awful. It did not taste right. It had a burnt oil, metal,
grease, charcoal..... kind of taste to it???? I have had these many times
before with very satisfying results. Something is VERY wrong with this
batch.
It was a three pack out of a vending machine purchased from Wright Vending
Company out of Madison WI. It had a date code of MAY02 52 22:35 088.

I am not sure what to do but for the very first time in 21 years of
marriage I have purchased a large 24 count box of twinkies at Sam's club in
Douglasville, Georgia that are not good.
Here is the dilema
Purchased on Sunday April 6th. It appears that not all but some of the
packaging when opened has a very strong alchohol odor and when you bite
into it you also taste this smell. This is not true for all of them but we
are no longer eating from this box. Our 17 year old daughter came home and
bit into one and came to our bedroom to make sure we were still alive as
hers was the first one noticed to be containameted. |

I was very surprised to see that I received no response to my e-mail at twinkies.com ,I had sent you. It was regarding you Sweet Sixteen Donuts. I always buy them, and as I stated in my e-mail that the last two times I purchased them they were not fresh. The date was still good. They were bought at our local Publix Supermarket..
I guess this is not important, but to me I am a little hesitant in buying them again.
Thank you for your time in this matter. |

Greetings.
I'm sorry to complain about this, but I purchased a package of the referenced donuts at my local mini mart (Petro Center, Sheboygan Falls, WI).
It was the last package on the rack. I didn't realize it until I encountered my problem that they were also past the "last date of sale", which was Mar 11. I bought them on March 24.
As I was about to put the first donut into my mouth, I noticed a funny smell. It was strangely similar to the smell of the fiberglass resin dust that filled my garage some years back when my husband refurbished a wooden fishing boat. I thought it was odd, but dismissed it and popped it into my mouth. I felt a tingling/burning sensation on my tongue and in the back of my throat.
My coworker thought I was just making it up, until he took one and experienced the same sensation.
The package is marked as follows: Mar 11

Comment: I wish you would report overtime so that it makes sense. It never figures out properly, maybe the district managers are afarid the main office will notice and get mad. So they rip us off or cover the overtime costs up.
Either way it could get reported to the department of wage hour & time. |

I have been eating Drakes brand cakes (Devil dogs, ring dings, yodels) sinse I was a young kid growing up in New York. When I first moved here to Florida in 1978 we were able to purchase them. And after I had children, they grew up on them also. We use to spend about $15 a week on them between lunches and snakes. If not more. But they slowly disappeared. Now I am unable to find them anywhere. I like them better than hostess brands, (ding dongs etc) and I would like to know why we can not buy them here anymore. |

I just purchased a box of Hostess Donettes. The date stamp is April 17, 2003, so they should be fresh. Unfortunately, they aren't!
The box says that freshness is guaranteed and comments are welcomed, but it's sure hard to figure out where (and who) to contact.
If you are reading the comments on this site, and I know you are, please put a telephone number on your packages!

I stopped as usual to pick up bread among other things with a bill amounting to $4.70 and had a card that only needed $1.00 to complete it for $3.00 towards my next purchase which I was not able to apply to the present purchase, even tho that was the last of the old system. I was then told that I would not get credit for the remainder $3.70 of my bill as the computer was not set up yet for the new cards and that I would lose it. Being on a fixed income, I didn't feel that was a fair and just way to do business if there would be a similar card credit system set up. When I arrived home and thought about it, I called to get a number to call to the manager and speak to them regarding the remaining credit and was given a # in Springfield to call (long distance) which was ludicrous in trying to save $3.00 and having to spend $ 5.00 to report it. They would not give me the toll free #. I can't think much of their public relations policy and will probably boycott their products hereafter. |

Though the box says, "We invite your comments and questions," it does not
say where to address comments or questions? So I will post it here.
I have been buying Hostess crumb cakes (12 cakes) for a few years now on
a regular bases. In the last few months some of the twin packages have been
coming through open. Usually only one per box now and then but in my last 2
boxes, one box had 2 open packs, the other, 4 twin packs were open. In each
case the open end was puffy and the cellophane had a semi circle shape to it.
Maybe to much heat
when sealing?
Expiration date on box is APR 25 56090 after that numbers are smudged.

I checked the sell by date which stated April 20th and below it was an id# of some sort ( 53G091). I dare to think what this item would have tasted like come April 20th.I hope my trash can enjoyed it more then the one bite I took!

Hostess mini muffins. We use 2-3 boxes per school week. The younger one likes

months. I have looked everywhere! Do they still make them? If so, can you tell

I usually buy my snack crackers and cakes for the lunches about
every two weeks. They have a good date on them, so I stock up
with enough to get through two week's worth of lunches.
We sometimes don't use them all and then the family "pig out"
on the left overs, knowing it is time to restock anyway.
One of the favorites is the carrot cake by Hostess. Usually they go
first, however this time there were three packs left of them. My
twelve year old thought she'd struck the jackpot for Friday night
television when she saw carrot cake left. Much to her dismay and
my irritation, she discovered "hair" growing on them. They were
growing mold. I check the expiration date and saw it was April
17th. Then I really got mad...it is only April 11th! Why would they
mold a week before the expiration date? The other leftover cakes
did not. The twinkies and yellow cupcakes were fine, only the
carrot cakes molded. These cakes are expensive and I am very
upset about this. I almost exclusively buy Hostess because I care
about quality and have trusted the name, until now. Can you
tell me why this may have happened? I store all the cakes and
crackers in tightly sealed plastic containers in their original wrappers.
This has always worked out fine for the last 5 years, so I assume the
problem was with their cakes.
The code on the three carrot cake packs were the same F0058APR17.
The UPC is 0 4500000923 3. Any comments? I hope this is not a sign
of lowered quality on their part or I will be looking for a different
cake company! |

They aren't making enough of it. I live on the east side of Cincinnati,
Ohio. I can't find it at Biggs, Krogers, Meier's or Thriftway. Please make
more. It seems there is almost always a surplus of the Autumn Wheat (which
I consider fluff) but the stores are always out of the Cracked Wheat.
It's just a thought, but an ad like "Whole grain quality at a popular price"
might help sell even more of it.

I was eating a Hostess Iced Cinnamon roll on Sunday, April 4th, and bit down on something hard. Upon examination, it looked like a tooth from a denture. I took it to my dentist and he confirmed that it was a tooth. The date on the package was Apr 23, the numbers following it were 51A087. I still have the tooth, the remaining rolls and the wrapper. I think someone working in the frosting mixing area must have coughed or sneezed it into the frosting. Has anyone complained about missing a tooth? What would you suggest I do?

My husband was eating a Hostess blackberry pie yesterday and in the pie was a 2 inch piece of blackberry branch with thorns.
The packaging on the pie is dated Apr12 700855.
I was glad it was my husband found it instead of one of my young boys who might have gotten hurt biting into it. I had purchased several other pies that day, but so far that is the only one that had anything in it. |

Comment: I personally think that IBC / Wonder hostess is a big joke. the office staff is way too much out of control, mostly by the lack of so called management that goes on in that place. I personally like watching people who are in a "upper" position playing with numbers and figures, almost like the lottery, they just keep changing them until they win. We know that the plant in itself is going to be shut down with in the next year, but they keep trying to tell us all that it wont, but it has already started with cake production being closed.. and the GM has no plans on staying for very long..that can never be a good sign.... thats all i have to say for now anyway |

Comment: This Company is becoming more and more pathetic. After Bo Brewer retired, we have had one plant manager fired days before christmas and the next "yo yo" (former VP of Southeast) isn't doing any better of a job than the last guy. All the routes are over loaded....people are working more than the 60 hours a week that the contract states we are not to, ancient equipment, Bakery workers who can't seem to count and date the bread properly, quality of product is a joke, getting out of date product, and so much more. You get a letter from Mr. Essler stating that employees should voice there concerns to management and they will convey it....YEAH RIGHT. The dating fiasco I mentioned.....it's been going on for more than a year now. I deliver Wal-Mart Private Label...in February I actually got bread for them dated February 30th and 31st! I've tried talking to Area Sales Managers and the Plant Manager about these issues, but nothing is ever done. ESL....extended shelf life making the code that used to be 72 hours a week....what a joke....yeah stale is down because the customers are buying it old, yet nothing has changed in the formulas...how can this be any different than private label at a premium price? The scary thing is....most of the other companies in this area are following suit! |

I am a HUGE fan of your products; specifically, HOSTESS! I enjoy the fact that the cakes I buy are usually moist and tasty!
Yesterday, I purchased a box of Hostess Jumbo Pack - Ding Dongs- 24 individually wrapped cakes for my family. I purchased your product from one of your Retailers: Costco Wholesale Douglas County 468 (Colorado) for $4.85 (receipt number #0468-07-0112-103 14:05).
On my way home, my daughter and I had a Ding Dong each. I must admit it was the WORST I have ever experienced. Stale! would be a compliment, but by far the worst I had experienced in all of the years of purchasing your products.
On the box, the "Last Sale Date" is not imprinted any where on the box. There is a code "GR 700872" but no date of when the product should be purchased. I am aware that these products have a lengthy "shelf-life," but I am not sure what would cause this product to be as terrible as it is!
If you prefer, I am more than happy to return the box, with the remaining Ding Dong's to your company. I just want a "fresh" cake treat I thought I was purchasing.
Thanks for your consideration. I look forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
Mark Groth

To whom it may concern. I have noticed in the last years, that hostess has changed the ingredients of their Ding Dongs. The taste is not the same good taste of the early 80's when they were wrapped in the aluminum foil. I know of many people, who have expressed the same concern, and many that have just quit buying them all together. I also want to share my anger over the hostess cupcakes. I live in east central arkansas, and no matter were you go to buy hostess products in an 50 miles radius, you will find that most the cupcakes are only one to two weeks from being outdated, and most are already not fit to eat. Its not the grocery stores fault, because you can dig to the back of the boxes and find the newest boxes, and they are still almost out of date. There are other indivduals that share my thoughts on this matter. One last thing I would like to complain about and thats, the white icing that is inside the ding dongs. It has got to were most ding dongs today only have a smiggen of white cream inside. So quite holding back on the goods, and make the ding dongs of old, and please start getting fresher cupcakes to the stores.

Comment: People would be surprised at what they can find in any product they buy. Anything from pins glass, plastics.rubber products, gum hairnets and in some cases even fingertips or fingers and even baby rodents and don't think that anyone is going to say Hey stop everything something fell in the dough. All this is done on a production line and everything is timed and anyone stopping production has about 95 percent chance of getting fired besides they don't charge us nothing extra for the extras at least that's what they laugh and say.I know i've been there done that.Besides anything they chunk in you should be able to chunk up that's the way they look at it.They're not worried about what you think or how you feel they are just worried that you may have a lawsuit against them and if you contact a lawyer you just might have |

Comment: if you have a complaint about wonder products you can air them here but it goes no further. You can write ibc in kansas city or call them,go back to the store you bought it or any store that carries their products and make a complaint with the store manager leave your phone number, and name and tell them you want the route manager to contact you about something you found in their product and under no circumstances what so ever DEFINETLY do not give them back the product or the bag or wrapper that it came in, they will try to get it back but do not give it back.If they do not contact you real soon call the news paper, they love to write about things like this and will probably will want to take a picture of it and put it in the paper too, then contact the health department, you want to see ACTION just sit back and watch. |

Comment: People over at millbrook San Diego do not know if they are going to be laid off over the weekend.Personally I think the way that they are going about the lay off is unfair to the employees. They are not telling the employees until the last moment that they are gone. But they want the employees to tell them when and why they late, absent, and why they are doing this or that and the other.I think this unfair especially for being a so called strong union. |

I bought Twinkies and after eating the first one, I looked and stuck into the side of the second twinkie was a bug. With legs and all. HOW DISGUSTING... I can't believe I ate the first one. I
have a weak stomach as it is, so needless to say this made me sick to my stomach. After showing all my coworkers they suggested I write to you all regarding this issue. I don't know if they will do anything about this, but I really think that if IBC is going to be selling food to the public, it shouldn't have bugs in them. |

I live in Astoria N.Y. and I must say that I am tired of getting only the burnt raisin bread in my neighborhood. Every time I must buy Wonder Raisin bread, it is burnt on the bottom. After buying at least 6 loaves of this bread I have begun to realize that this is not just an accident in the bakery. Do I have to take this issue any further then this? |

Re: D'Italiano bread, UPC7167302215, dated apr02. The last several loaves of your bread have been horrible - the bread is DRY and seems DAYS old even on the day we bought it. I'm going back to Maier's! W.A. Smith, 137 Stephens Park Rd., Hackettstown, NJ 07840. |

Comment: word is out the co. plans to close it's thrift stores, some 1300 of them stockholders and investors should look into this and ask why. These stores sale a lot more than bread and snack cakes and most of them are located in the same building that the truck warehouse is so there is no extra rent or lease expenses these stores produce over 300 millon dollars of revenue a year for this co.what are they going to do next go to a 14 day shelf life for the bread, they have already expanded this to a 7 day shelf life and no matter how much preservative you put in it you can not keep it fresh you may keep it from molding so soon.Just a couple of years ago if a salesman was caught with a loaf of bread out there that old he would have been fired then and there. But now people are paying top dollar for day old bread possibly 8 or 10 days old, i guess we are getting a little bit of flower and dough with our preservative, this is why your bread smells funny or don't have quality taste anymore. The company don't need dayold stores anymore because they don't bring old bread back to sell they just throw it in the dumpster or you just bought that loaf of bread before the breadman got ther to pick it up,oh the breadman was just there so you got a fresh loaf of bread, sorry the bread he took in the store is still sitting in the back room, all he did was rotate the bread that he already had in the backroom from the last 2 days, don't believe me go to the restroom in the grocery store the next time you are in the store and see if you can see any stacks of bread that was left in there. If the company wants to make money instead of closing the thrift stores down they should sell their bread in the stores at wholesale price, look at the profit they could make then, and i do know what i am talking about i was a breadman |

Comment: this used to be a decent co. to work for but not anymore, not with all the different kinds of people that they have hired and most of them being put in management. These people are constantly degrading the work force and telling them just how sorry they are and if they don't like that they can leave.I have seen more turnover in one depot in two years than i have with the whole bakery in 20 years and no one is looking at the reason as to why.Don't anybody care anymore, could it be that management don't care about this or has this gone all the way to the top.they have human resources departments in every bakery that is supposed to work things out with the co.and the employees but how can that be when they are pro company 100 percent i know i have dealt with them and know of other people who also have relied on their services only to be slapped in the face or fired.I know a lot of supervisors with this co. and most of them were and still are some of the biggest crooks and sorriest route men you have ever seen.this was a 4 billon dollar a year co.but since the wonder bread takeover and an influx of putting wonder bread employees in all or most sectors of management they have managed to drop to 3 and a half billon this year what will it be next year. With this change in management there has constantly been changes in every department almost weekly, what happened to the old saying IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT!!!!!!! The man over the whole operation where did he come from Purina chow board member, what does he know about the bread bussiness except it's paying him a big salary. Plant manager out of rockymount, young man, from where,Flowers baking co.I think stock holders and investors should check out the board members and see how these kinds of people are picked to run the co. they have invested their money in.BELIEVE ME THESE PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW HOW TO RUN A BREAD ROUTE MUCH LESS A BREAD CO. |

We recently purchased a bag of your donuts. The donuts inside are chocolate covered but the bag says they should be frosted. Being in the food industry I know how very important it is to have the correct food product in the correct labelling.
I am not writing this to receive any special offers or free product, it is just a heads up that you have product on the market that is mislabeled and can have some serious reprecussions if someone was to become sick from eating one of these mislabeled donuts.
The donuts in question are very good and well liked around our household.

I recently purchased a
package of Hostess Ding dongs 24 count. Half way through the box I noticed
one of the individual packages open. Upon further inspection I was
shocked to find that it was bitten into. I have no kids and neither one of
us did it. The box was sealed when I bought it. |

I bought a 24 pack of cupcakes from a local wholesale and one of the
individual wrapped packages was completely sealed with only half of a
cupcake inside the packet. I understand that problems can occur, but I
do not believe it should be at the consumers expense. |

I purchased a Dolly Madison Blueberry Muffin package from our snack machine. I opened it up and found what appeared to be a small white hair or fiber on one of the muffins. I then picked another one off of the same muffin and wisked it to the floor. I also noticed that the other muffin has has a hair or fiber on it. It is kind of embedded into the muffin.

The Hostess outlest in Westmont, IIlinois recently closed. We had heard some talk from the employees that the location was being relocated in Westmont.
If this is true, can you please advise the address and the "reopening" date of the outlet.

I went to the Seven-Eleven on the corner of Dale Mabry and Gandy Blvd. in Tampa, Florida earlier today and purchased a Dolly Madison apple fruit pie. To my surprise and dismay, it was basically hollow inside--without any apple filling at all. Sure, there was a little bit of filling towards one end, but nothing to justify the seventy-nine cents I paid. I was going to mail you the uneaten pie and ask for my money back but thought it might be easier just to email you. What's going on at Insterstate, you trying to cut costs or was it just some type of mistake? I need to know. Please get back to me and let me know how this happened and what we can do to restore my trust in Dolly Madison pies.

I purchased a box of Hostess Ding Dongs at a Brookshires store in Paris, Texas on March 28, 2003.
We opened the box that night and upon opening an individual Ding Dong we noticed (after the first bite) that there was not any creme filling in it. We have since opened the rest to discover they also had no filling.
This is our family's favorite snak and we are very disappointed in the product we just purchased.
