Comment: the reason that there are so many complaints about quality with hostess/dolly madison is because interstate brands extended the code on the box. could be you could smell the cakes on your truck in the morning they were so fresh but now they are old when we get them and they still have 2-5 weeks code on them and idiot branch managers plus the hell out of us so we are pileing racks so full that by the time we do sell the cake it is in code but poor quality. oh how the mighty have fallen |

I have been eating their products for 40+ years. I think I will finally give up
on purchasing any of their products from vending machines. I check the date on
the front of the package before I purchase it to make sure it is 4 or more days
out but they are still dry and stale. I am beginning to think that they sell
defective products for vending machine sales.

I purchase a box of cupcakes every week, just like I have form the past 11 years. Since Wallyworld (Walmart) has taken over the food store chain, you can't get anythink fresh anymore. NOT even Hostess Cupcakes!! They were in date, which suprised me for Wallyworld! But when I got them home, they were so hard I could pound nails with them. The upc is 45000 00311, numbers on bx are as follows: 00130 B sell by 28 May.

Wow! I can't believe how many people are upset about the quality of IBC. Here's a quick suggestion ... Instead of griping on a website that is probably managed by someone who doesn't even take the time to read your postings, why don't you take your issues to the top of the food chain? Skip the Wal-Mart manager, or your local grocery store manager, but take it to the top. IBC's phone number is (816) 502-4000 and the President & COO is Michael D. Kafoure. I've never been one to sit around and wait for a company to solve my problem. If you want resolution, GO FIND IT! My suggestion, call Michael D. Kafoure on the hour every hour until you - THE CONSUMER - get the answer that you are looking for. If you have questions or concerns about a particular company, go to www.hoovers.com, type in the company name, and click on "Company Capsule". There you will find the company address, phone number and listing of key people. You?ll always find the name of the CEO, President, etc. Good luck, and I hope this post helps. |

I used to work there now im working for IBC Holsum bakery in the south. Production crew has a very good and FAIR Prod MGR. Mr. Bruce York. All in all I think Charlie Smith needs to get the hell out of Bruce Yorks way and let him run the bakery..

Comment: I heard the only reason Kathy Hoffman got hired as the head of human resources was because her husband was a higher up with the company. She' a BIG JOKE! Any time I've tried to deal with her she's been a complete bitch and no help whatsoever! The sooner the get rid of her, the better! I thought human resources was there to help the employee and not act like an ass! I was given a raise and 5 weeks later it was taken away because Kathy Hoffman said it wasn't "authorised"! If It wasn't "authorised" , how come I got it for 5 weeks? Obviously someone wasn't doing there job! Does anyone know if it's illegal to take away a payraise once the company has given it to you? I started with Wonder in the late eighties. Everything was great until IBC got in the mix and then it was all down hill.I no longer work for these IBC jackasses.I gave enough blood, sweat and tears. Now instead of taking 10 years off my life span from all the frustration and stress maybe I'll gain 10 because I am now free! |

Uh Oh! I see that a message, I sent yesterday, complimenting DingDongs has dissapeared.
Hey, I too occasionally purchase something that's not quite edible, but it happens with a lot of companies. Many companies including Interstate Brands should invest more on quality control. However, we know they are always cutting the workforce and taking shortcuts in order to boost profits and look good to Wall Street. Wall Street and investors are the problem. Everybody's is trying line their pockets including the executives driving down quality to meet Wall Street's expectations. The employee and the customer end up being shafted. It's always the little guy that gets hurt.
Actually, none of us should be eating unhealthy junk like DingDongs anyway. About the only thing I really cannot pass up is a hot Krispy Kreme doughnut. Speaking of Wall Street and Krispy Kreme, have you noticed how profitable Krispy Kreme is and how Wall Street is enthralled with this company. Some of the Interstate Bakery execs should look into what they are doing right.
And speaking of unedible stuff, when I was a kid my older sister opened a can or Hormel chili and heated it up for me eat for lunch. After 4 or 5 spoonfulls, I slid my spoon back into the bowl for another mouthfull and discovered a dead grasshopper. How in the heck it got in the can, I don't know.

According to the following excerpt (quotes) in your 2000 letter to Interstate Brands, a hyperlink exists at your website to take websurfers directly to genuine Interstate website. Had some difficulty finding it though. It was not on your home webpage. I believe that's where it should be. Just a suggestion though.
"The Interstate Brands Corporation logo on the site is a hyperlink to www.interstatebrands.com, the Wonder logos are hyperlinks to www.wonderbread.com and the Twinkie the Kid and Hostess logos are hyperlinks to www.twinkies.com." |

I would like to lodge a complaint in regards to hostess fruit pies. I have purchased several pies in the past six months that have been inedible due to the bottom ot the pie being burnt or having ash like rack marks on them. I must say that it is very disappointing to have to throw money away like that. It makes me hesitant to puchase hostess products in the future |

I recently opened a "Little Billy's" package of doughnut holes and it appeared that someone had already taken a bite from everyone of those little suckers.
Seriously though, I just came across this site by accident and was wondering what it is all about. I saw the picture of people who appeared to be happy about a large multi-million settlement. What happened?
What I really wanted to do was suggest a new packaging concept to Interstate brands. With the kids grown and pretty much on their own, we find we cannot eat a loaf of bread fast enough before it starts to mold. We just don't want to eat that much bread in a week.
Why hasn't a bread company considered packaging a 1/2 loaf for single people or couples that can be eaten before it starts to mold???? Can someone tell me why no one has thought of this or acted on it?
Also, a suggestion - I've been buying "Little Debby's" angel food cakes with a (I think) raspberry filling. They are delicious. Haven't had a bad one yet.

I purchased a Double Chocolate Chip Muffin. The muffin was very stale and dried out.I had to discard it. I have bought these muffins many times and they are usually very delicious and moist and fresh. I was very disappointed with the product this time however. I purchased one of the Banana Nut muffins at the same time and it was fine. The only # I could find on the package was #136. The expiration date was June 18. It should not have been stale if that was the correct expiration date. It had not been opened anywhere that I could see. I paid $1.09. for this product. |

Comment: A lot of complaints on the products in Vending machines. You have to realize that vending machines are not filled by I.B.C employees . The product is bought by individuals or companies who distribute to these machines. Who knows how long they keep or how they keep it before it goes in. You should ask them.

Recently the Merita bread we have purchased has not been to our

light
and dark swirles through it. Anyway, what ever has happened or is
happening we do not like it and have gone to another brand.
We have purchased at least three loaves that were like this.

I am writing in regards to your Low-fat Crumb Cakes. I stopped in at our local bakery a few days ago, and they informed me that you are no longer going to make the low fat crumb cakes. I was very disappointed. I have just recently discovered at our Weight Watcher's meetings that each crumb cake only has one point. This is a wonderful product for anyone on the Weight Watcher's plan. Would you reconsider making them once again? I am sure once this news gets out to all the women on the Weight Watcher's Plan, the sales will increase dramatically. The crumb cakes are just a wonderful low fat snack for us. |

Today's date is May 21, 2003. This evening while I was attending night classes at Florida Metropolitan University in Jacksonville, Florida, I purchased a package of Dolly Madison chocolate Zingers from a vending machine. The "sell-by" date on the package is May 22. When I opened the package, I found that the icing on the cakes was already very crispy and had a whitish tint (as old chocolate tends to have), there were tracks in the icing as if the person who held the package last had dug his/her fingers into it and there was mold on the cakes that resembled spiderwebs.
I understand that it is the vending machine owner's responsibility to stock the machine with fresh goods. However, the cakes still should have been fresh by the noted date and therefore, it must have been a defect in the packaging of these cakes. I do intend to complain to the vending machine owner but I thought maybe your company should be informed about this as well so that the packaging process might be improved.
Thank You
Sincerely,
Kerri Sager

You hit it on the head baby. The way Debbie treats you is a I.B.C standard. It is a trickle down
Affect that starts some where at the top.
The problem is we have to many clueless people in positions that can cause harm.
These idiots make real good money and don?t want there boss to find out they don?t know what?s going on out there. They compensate for there lack of understanding by finding fault in what other people are doing. This in there eyes shows others they must be on top of things and know what there talking about.
Then there are the others that have to prove there worth by coming up with changes and to fix things whether it is broke or not. I would say these are the real dangerous ones. This is why the product is sucking and the sales show it. Some genius came up with this.
?If we extend the codes we can cut service. If we cut service we can cut routes , Look at all the money we saved laying these people off.?
Here is the problem. They have to show there boss what a good job there doing . They cant show that cutting service cost them in sales because they lost control of there market. They use numbers as a marker of there standing .The number of bread we sold at this time last year compared to this year. The number of cake we sold during back to school last compared with this.
Again sales are down so to protect there ass they have to show sales are up. So they start giving us mandatory amounts of product we route drivers have to sell. They plus up what we order for our routes and force bread to be put in the back room at markets waiting to go on the shelves. So now there is bread behind bread in in the back sometimes for days before it even gets a chance to get bought. As new bread is forced in the old hit?s the self. Along with the shit they pull at the bakery and the extended shelf life. What chance does the customer have of getting a fresh loaf.
So now the customer buys not so fresh products and stops buying not so fresh products. So to compensate we raise our price and cut more routes to save more money cut more service to??.. When does it stop?
What pisses me off is they spent how much money to hire a consulting firm to tell them why sells are falling? I?m sure this firm knows how to run a business but do they no how to sell bread and cake?

Comment: I want something done about the way Debbie Rainey treats all of us! From store clerks all the way up to Division managers!!! This woman thinks she can talk to us in any way she wants to and I am sick of it! I have never worked for someone with such an attitude! The people you have running the Miami Plant are the worst! I have heard of good people who work very hard in other plants who you find fault with everything they do! But the people in Miami get away with putting out disgusting product and treating us with disrespect! WHY??? I used to enjoy working for IBC, but now I am ashamed of our product, and the people I work for! No wonder you have so many law suits against you! IBC has messed up the product, and the employees and the customers have to suffer for it! Now we sell bread in the grocery stores that used to be sold for animal feed, and that is not right!!! The bread should not have a ten day code on it! It doesn't even last for four days!!!!! Our customers should mean more to you than that! Instead of trying to find something wrong with your employees all of the time, take a look at what you have screwed up! Wonder Bread used to be the best bread in the United States. But I would not even buy it because I know how it is made! Even Flowers is out doing IBC product! And believe me that would open my eyes real fast!!! I can buy their bread and it stays fresh alot longer than your bread!!! Bring this company back to good product! Get rid of the people who only want a pay check and hire some who care about the customers!!! |

I hope you can help me. I have a complaint that I'd like resolved. The specific product I am writing about is Hostess Baseballs 00126B.
Here are the details: I recently bought a box of hostess white baseball cupcakes at a Giant Eagle in Cornersburg, OH. When I bite into one of the cupcakes there was something hard in it. I spit out the object to find clear plastic (I think). I threw out that one and went on to the next to have the same thing happen. You can imagine how disgusting it was. I keep the rest and will wait for you response.
Here's what I'd like you to do: Figure out what was in my cupcake and make sure it doesn't go into anymore of them.
Despite this experience, I'll probably do business with you again. And, I'll probably recommend you to my family and friends.
I hope you care enough about your customers to address this problem. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am trying to find out what has happened to Merita bread. I have always bought it because I could depend on it to be soft and taste fresh. In the last two or three months I have found the opposite to be true. Today (May 18, 2003) I bought a loaf of Merita dated May 27, 2003. When I went to use it, it was hard, dry and stale tasting. I bought the bread in Ayden, NC 28513. I don't know where it is baked, but their work is not up to the standards I expect. They are not consistently producing the quality of bread I have come to expect when buying the Merita brand.
Thank you.

When I was a kid, we bought bread that had wheat & white in the same loaf.
There were 8 kids in the family so we did have a choice as to which we
wanted.
Is there any hope to give this a thought as a lot of people don't eat white
bread anymore. My husband eats only white but I eat wheat only. It would be
nice to have the half & half back again.. |

Comment: Sit down before reading this because it is going to throw you for a loop. I am a 21-year employee in Marketing and this week I had to go in to meet with the HR Directors for Pomona and Los Angeles to interview for the job I currently have. That;s right! In spite of the outstanding record I have and the excellent job evaluation I have received for the past several years I was told in order to keep my job I had to participate in the interview. Now the really bad part is that the questions from the interviewers were generic in nature and they read them off to me without making eye contact with me. I was blown away by their callous behavior. I think I may not get to keep my job,,, WOW!!! |

Today, I purchased a bonus pack of Hostess chocolate cupcakes. After eating the first cupcake (which tasted stale), I bit into the second, at which time I noticed something on top of the icing. Upon closer inspection, it appears to be a smashed cricket covered with chocolate.
Don't you have any type of quality control to prevent this from reaching the consumer? I do not want to have to inspect all of my food before I eat it. I still have the cupcake and cricket in my possession if you would like to see it.

To whom it may concern,
I just wanted to pass a note to you people expressing my disgust for your product. I remember eating your fruit pies as a child the crust was fresh and flaky, the filling was plentiful and tasty. Now your crusts are always hard, stale and disgusting and what little filling you do put in the nasty shell is always dried up and gummy, not to mention the fruit has the texture of dehydrated terds. You might want to do something about this product, or just quit making it because your end result isn't worth the effort your employees put forth.

that the consumers are being cheated out of what they pay for. I have been
eating Drake's coffee cakes for over 20 years. I don't understand why in

grade. It is really unfair that we the consumer are paying MORE for less. Is
this really fair????

I purchased a Banana Nut Muffin out a vending machine at work. After taking my first bite, I notice that this muffin had a very bad chemical spell. I put the muffin away and was going to just discard it, but about 30 minutes later I got a massive headache and began to shake. I went to the ER where it was determine that I needed to go home. This lasted for two days before going away. I called the state dept. of health and was told that they were aware of a problem at the hostess plant and that they had received several calls of this nature. I than took the muffin to the health dept. and had it tested. After I getting the result I called interstate brand @ 816-502-4000 exit:4012 and informed the representative of what had happened. I expressed to her that I was very uncomfortable with the fact that their was a know problem with your product, yet I as a consumer had no idea. She told me the someone would be contacting me.
The test from the state dept. of health clearly stated that this product has some kind of chemical odor. The vending company and I both checked the date, which was still good. At this time I think that your company needs to contact me with plan to compensate for my discomfort, medical bills and time off work. Now I know that in today's world that this is now going to just happen that easily. But I am prepare to take further actions as suggested by the Attorney General office, if necessary. Please be a rare company by today's standards and do what best for your costumer!!!! Stand up, and do the right thing. |

Are any of their manufacturing plants peanut-free? If so, how can I tell by looking at the product what plant it was produced at? By UPC or Date code somehow?
If they are not in a peanut free plant, then are Twinkies or Ding-dongs run on dedicated lines? I ask the latter question
since cross-contamination poses a risk to her allergy also.
I am primarily writing about your Hostess line but would appreciate feedback on other product lines also.

I am writing to see about being compensated for a bad batch of twinkies I bought. I bought them at safeway store which is located on Mill Plain in Vancouver Washington. The twinkies are REALLY sticky, and being that my family is addicted to them we know what a good hostess twinkie should taste like. I know that you are probably thinking why would I write about ONE box of twinkies but we have a LARGE family and we make a money strech as far as we can during the month and to have a twinkie it is a treat for us. The UPC on the box is 45000 00316 and the twinkies use by date is May 19th so they are not expired, so I am baffled as to why the are so sticky. |

I just purchased a package containing three Dolly Madison Cinnamon Stix. The bottom of one of the sticks was covered in some kind of lubricant (grease). I discovered this after taking one bite. I am assuming it is the grease used on the manufacturing conveyor belts. The package is marked MAY31 52 116 21:23 on the outside package. I really enjoy these pastries but I will probably always check the bottoms before eating them in the future. I may even purchase another brand. Hopefully this was an isolated incident but I thought it should be brought to your attention.

I wanted to let you know that I purchase many of your products and love them. But, unfortunately, the past few times that I have purchased your Just Us Kids bread at a local Wal-mart Supercenter, it has been stale. Why does Wal-Mart receive inferior products in comparison to Publix or other local grocery stores? I am very unhappy about this. I find it very inconvenient to have to go to one other store just to pick up bread. What do you think I should do about this?

Today I purchased a Hostess Peach Fruit Pie from the vending machine at work. In the middle of the pie was a large amount of mold that I did not notice until I ate a portion of it. Needless to say I got violently ill. With a company that has been around for as many years as Hostess has been I find this unacceptable. I will not purchase any Hostess products in the future and have advised my friends and co-workers of my experience. |

Beefsteak Hearty Rye has been a favorite in our house for a long time, but lately I am becoming more and more dissatisfied with your product. AIR HOLES! While I realize that some may be unavoidable, too many is unreasonable. Eating a sandwich which includes ketchup or mustard is an adventure, and forget about putting butter on toast without wearing plastic gloves. At a cost of over $2.00 a loaf, I expect better. If the reason is cost cutting, I would pay a LITTLE more per loaf if you would fill in the holes.
Not expecting miracles, just a solid slice of bread. |

Comment: im curious as to what other employee's at other plant's across the nation do when they get injured on the job. has anyone had any trouble getting worker's compensation or even to have there injury treated? reason i ask is because we had an employee get injured at 05 and his doctor filled out the paperwork for therapy but all our plant does is not return his calls about it or say they will check it out and no returns on it. This injury happened in june of last year and of course the company knew it happened as they fixed the problem that caused the injury but the employee's mean much less that they dont have to live up to there responsibility!! Just put your 2 cents in on this as we are looking into taking action on this. Is it the company regulation to forget its injured employee or is it this plants human resources dept not doing its job??
of course the employee had to return to work as he was forgotten by the company/plant. anyone else have this problem???

MOLD growing on the under side of the honey bun.
Needless to say this caused me to immediately get sick from the thought of
eating something that had been growing mold.
No matter what, I am extremely disgusted with this and will have our vendor pull
all the "Hostess" products from our machines in fear that others may be molded

Comment: What is going on at this bakery? IBC is driving us crazy trying to keep up with the changes. First, it was said the GM retired in a cost-cutting move, now the rumor is it involved a sexual discrimination allegation. The accusor is someone who looks to be over 65 years old and she use to pursue this guy everyday. When one gets that age can they legally claim harrassment? Now the tall guy over in Pomona is going to be in charge of all 4 bakeries in this area. Can he handle this? We understand his initial move will be to transfer all administrative personnel to Pomona after they complete a 90% layoff. They are going to keep the 65 year old until August and then lay that one off also. We all need to move out of this place and find an area where there is parking for our trucks, I have to walk 4 blocks to find my truck that is illegaly parked somewhere. |

Take the wrapper back to the store and explain the problem. They can
exchange the cake for you and they will receive credit from the sales
rep. Any excuse not to allow it is bull. The sales rep was just to lazy
to set the cake aside and grab another one. If we lose you as a customer
I can't make my house payment

I purchased a box of Hostess Frosted (chocolate) donettes a few days ago on May 7th in Bridgeport, WV. The label onthe box stated fresh until May 13th. The Donettes were not very fresh on the first day, the 7th when I bought them. They are very dried out and a little stale. I am not satisfied with the quality of them. The freshness date onthe box was off by at least a week in my opinion. I am dissapointed that you do have a toll free number printed on the box for quality concerns. There is the statement that you welcome comments, but you don't provide an easy method for doing this. I would like this box replaced with a fresh one. I can provide the box and some of the remaining donettes if you require it.

I recently purchased 2 box of Hostess Blueberry Mini

it. The box I still have displays the following code:

I would like to know how this correlates to a specific
date (as in month, day, year). Has this product

To whom it may concern,
I purchased a package of hostess ding dongs fromthe Shell Gas Station in Fairfield IL. on May 7 at 7:50 am upon opening the cupcakes, I ate the first one but when removing the second one I found that there was already a bite taken out of it before me. Needless to say I did not feel safe eating this confection and would like to infrom all of this incident in hopes to prevent it from happening to others.
The number stamped on the package was B07101 with an expiration date of May 10.
I thank you for listening to my concerns

I JUST PURCHASED A HOSTESS FRUIT PIE AT A CONVENIENCE STORE IN KNOXVILLE, TN. THE UPC CODE IS 450310 5.
THE PACKAGING HAS A PLACE FOR "LAST SALE DATE" ON IT. HOWEVER, NONE OF THE INVENTORY HAD A DATE ON IT.
I ALSO CONSIDERED PURCHASING HOSTESS SNOWBALLS OR SUZY Q'S. I LOOKED FOR A DATE ON THOSE ITEMS AND NONE OF THEM HAD A DATE ON IT. THOSE PRODUCTS ALSO HAD A "LAST SALE DATE" ON THEM BUT NO DATE.
AS A CONSUMER I WOULD THINK ONE OF TWO THINGS SHOULD HAPPEN.
1. REMOVE THE "LAST SALE DATE" FROM YOUR PACKAGING AND SAVE SOME PRINTING COST IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PROVIDE A DATE.
2. IF YOU ARE GOING TO PROVIDE A DATE, IMPROVE QUALITY ASSURANCE TO MAKE DATES ARE ON ALL PRODUCTS SHIPPED.
SINCE I COULD NOT TELL THE DATE ON THE SNOWBALLS OR SUZY Q'S I DID NOT PURCHASE THEM. I FIGURED I HAD LESS CHANCE OF GETTING STALE OR OLD PRODUCT WITH THE APPLE PIE.
THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE NOTICED THESE PRODUCTS WITHOUT DATES. I DON'T THINK IT WAS A PRINTING PROBLEM SINCE IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN TO OFTEN.
BOTTOM LINE - PRINT THE LAST SALE DATE OR REMOVE IT FROM THE PACKAGING.
THANKS FOR LETTING ME VENT. |

I was recently traveling through Illinois and stopped at a gas station for some of the individual package of powdered donettes. When I opened the package there was a very distinct smell. The donuts smell somewhere in between fingernail polish remover and krazy glue. I then noticed they had expired 10 days prior. Is there a number I can call to report this further? I feel this package (i still have them) needs to be further looked at. Something is truly wrong with these donuts. |

Comment: To the consumers looking for a telephone number to call and complain. The reason there is no telephone number on their website or their packages is IBC does not want to hear from you. Click on "BAKERY LOCATIONS" link on the right side of this page and find the bakery close to you. There you will also find a telephone number to call and complain. Good Luck. |

The box says you welcome my comments and questions but there is no website or phone number to call. I searched out and found this site (Thank God). I am wondering how I get a replacement box. I will not pay shipping to send a partial box of bad donuts. I just want a replacement or a coupon for a replacement, however they would handle it. We are good customers of hostess and can't believe these donettes would be on the shelf. Could someone post a phone number for me to call. |

Comment: Regarding the last post - in all fairness, the Human Resources department at LA Hostess is not really at fault. Two of the managers in this department are there because their parents had tenure with the company. Would you not do the same for your child? Unfortuneatly they were not educated in HR systems or operations and they did not have a mentor to help them. We do deserve better because on the production floor we call this department not Human Resources, but *INHUMAN RESOURCES!!* |

I have been employed as a transport driver for Hostess LA for alomost 20 years. The company has been in a monatery "tail spin". In a cost cutting move, General Manager Fred Martich was givin "the boot". I suggest that the personnel department be deleted in cost cutting efforts! These people are not human rescources, we call them "human regamortious". Mr. Cooper, who is going to be in charge of the bakeries. His office happens to be in the Pomona bakery, it would be in the best interest to use the personnal department there instead of having two personnel departments! There also needs to be an investagation into the parking issues at hostess LA involving the SEMI"S. hundreds of illegally parked big rigs accounts for thousands of dollars in parking fines due to the incompetance of the operations manager!!! |

To Whom It May Concern,
Every morning, before work, my husband buys a coffee and a Hostess Apple Pie. This morning, May 2, 2003, he went through the same routine only to discover, half way through the pie I might add, that there was a hair in the pie. Now, since he has a beard, he thought it might be one of his own hairs. He then proceeded to pull it out and as he did it just kept getting longer and longer and it was coming from the center of the pie baked inside. It was obviously at that point when he knew it wasn't his. He saved the pie and brought it home to show me. Believe me, it was not his hair. It really disgusted him and I really don't think he will be purchasing more for fear of what he may find.
We just wanted to let you know about the situation. Perhaps stricter employee guidelines might be in order.

Hi. Anyone, Please help me if you can.
One of our local grocers carries Merita Light Italian bread. But they don?t carry enough. I usually buy two loaves at a time and would do so twice a week. However, as I mentioned, they don?t supply enough.
I can?t find it anywhere else. Even the ?bargain? bread shops don?t carry it.
What do I have to do to find this bread on a regular basis in Greensboro, NC?
Someone please post an answer.

I wanted to inform you of a problem that you may, or may not be aware of in my area. I purchased a loaf of bread at our Winn-Dixie store this past weekend, and about half of the loaf had the bottom cut, so that the bottom of the slice would come off with little movement. I mentioned this to my sister, and she said that they have been having a problem with the bread lately. I did not return it, I just dealt with it, but I thought you might want to know. |

I reside in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I moved here from New York. I can find every Hostess product in this area except for my favorite, Ho Hos. Please advise as to where in this area I can purchase them, or if there is nowhere, why. |

To whom it may concern.
My cousin and his wife were here on a visit and I served a cake that brought back memories of our favorite lunch cake when we were kids. I was wondering if it was still being made because I have not seen it in some time. Is the spice cake still being made and if so how can we get some?

I live in Traverse City, MI, and I haven't been able to find any low fat Twinkies or Cup Cakes during the past four or five months. I hope they haven't discontinued production. |

I have found non-food matter in a Hostess Cup Cake recently purchased. I wish to file a complaint with someone (perhaps customer relations). Do you have a telephone number.

I work in a school lunchroom we have received some white loaf bread, dinner rolls, and hamburger rolls this week that I personal found something in the bread that apeared to look like rat droppings. Has been reported to the mananger and the bread delivery guy as of today. It will be reported on further. This is a big concern to me. I personaly use to buy merita white bread but will no longer do so again. |

To the people who keep asking whats in gelatin, its made from numerous animals. It is the result of boiled bones, skin and tendons. It may or may not come from cows/pigs so if you cant eat these animals (ie for koshur food) do NOT eat gelatin. Gelatin is not koshur. |
