I purchased a package of the hostess caramel hohos 3 in a package and I found 2 in the package. Because I opened the package and didn?t know it was shorted before I opened it the store would not reimburse me or give me another one, they think I ate it. How embarrassing. No More HOHOs for me, reading these posts I see this is very common with this company. |

Its impossible to buy, or to even look at "Wonder Bread" -brand bread, (sold at most supermarkets, as the most "popular" bread!?), due to it is a fake-"enriched" BREAD, WHICH-IS NOT ONLY= of less than nutritional-Value, but it's "false-enriching" process(A JOKE!) does Steal-Nutrients from the body!
Hey! stop the hate and give us LOVE!
I AM SICK AND TIRED OF BEING CIVIL-RIGHTS ABUSED, AND FOOD/NUTRITION-VIOLATED BY THE EXISTENCE OF WONDER BREAD!
CHANGE IT TO CONSUMABLE! IT IS NOT!

Comment: To Larry and all the other posters on the board looking for contact names and numbers....Click on the Bakery Locations link on the left and you can find the telephone number for the bakery in your area. And to the website developers...please redesign the site so the consumers can easily go to the telephone numbers. Otherwise keep up the good work and thank you for this site. The company is really upset with you guys and you will probably be dragged into court REAL SOON from what I hear. |

I have enjoyed Hostess Cup Cakes for the past 44 years, since childhood, when
the package of two cupcakes cost 10 cents. I occasionally still buy a package
to have with milk, usually purchased at the convenience store part of a gas
station, or like today, from a vending machine. I have found that the cake is
frequently stale, lacking moisture. The cream has become, well, rather
synthetic (I realize that this is very likely not a diary product), and the
chocolate frosting is often dry. Some products, like Oreos, have maintained
excellent quality over the past 4+ decades, but what has happened to these
Hostess Cup Cakes? - |

Comment: Dear TK It does no good to notify the company about what is wrong with the product. They do not respons. We are having a problem with franks. They are not cut properly, some not cut at all. We notified the Biddeford bakery about this problem over a week ago and the franks that I went out with on Tues. were still the same. They are only concerned with volume of product, not quality. |

I remember Ding Dongs as a child and of course much more recently as
being a delicious treat. Soft and creamy and rich. I wanted to
introduce my children to one of my favorite treats so we bought a box
yesterday at a local grocery store. They were dry, crumbly and bad. The
frosting had crumbled and fell off before we even opened the wrapper on
each one. I checked the date, and they were supposed to be fresh still.
The numbers on the box were AUG05 H53193. I paid 3.49. I wonder if they
have changed the product, or it was a fluke. I would like to use them for
snacks for the kids' lunch boxes, but I am afraid to try them again.

Comment: To the member of management who posted about this site not serving a purpose and it is confusing. There is a very good purpose for this site: It is showing the consumers what type of company is making their products. A company that does not have a contact number or address on their packages because they will be overwhelmed with complaints about the crap they put out. A company that seems not to be able to get the count right when it comes to the amount of product in the packages and a company that lets this site continue without using its might to take it down. From what I see this site is growing with comments each month and it is just a matter of time before it gets really big and then our sales will start to be affected. |

The reason why this site serves NO purpose is because it only serves as a sounding board. READ the comments below, consumers are confused about the purpose of this site. They come here looking for honest help with honest problems and no one helps them. At least if they contact the IBC directly they will get assistance.
Confusing the customer and not helping them doesn't help the brands out. It only makes them appear worse. |

Comment: To tk, WAKE UP!, this is 2003, write a letter and they will be compensated for their inconvenience. The problem is not fixed. We will send you a coupon for a free HoHo, what about the other consumers who decided to quit buying because of the lack of controls at our bakeries and diminishing quality of our products. Do not believe the company is not monitoring this web site. All the managers here and at the other bakeries and in KC know of its existence. They are in the process of trying to shut it down. Personally I like it because it gives a snapshot of what is happening with the products we sale. |

Comment: to anonymous from San Pedro, CA. Actually, the way to correct this is to write a letter to the company at the address which is listed on all packages. Therefore it can be properly addressed and the consumer can be compensated for their inconvenience. This is the real way to get something fixed. If the company does not know there is a problem, they cannot fix it. They are not going to acknowledge a problem on a web page that they do not monitor. Perhaps logic would make too much sense for some people? |

Comment: To "tk " from Davenport, Iowa and your comment That
"CONSUMER PROBLEMS WILL NOT BE FIXED THIS WAY!. " This is the only way they will be fixed and that is for everyone to see that this company does not take the steps to ensure a quality product goes out the door. Your email tells all about you and your employer. Throw as much junk out there and sell as much as you can. A few complainers does not hurt our overall sales.

To whom it may concern,
I bought a Multi-Grain loaf of Braun's Famous Oven-Baked Deli Breads at the Wonder (IBC) store on Peoria street in Aurora, Colorado. I had the first slice today and found a small rock in the slice. I actually bit the rock, otherwise, I would have swallowed it without knowing it. Thank goodness my teeth are ok.
I will be throwing the rest of the loaf away. My mom and I have bought bread at the two Wonder (IBC) stores in Aurora, Colorado for many years now. If the quality of merchandise is in question than I know I won't be going there anymore. This finding disturbes me. Not only because of the food we are ingesting but also because IBC will paying to have customers teeth fixed because of the damage something like this could cause.

Comment: Ok, first of all, does anyone have anything better to do than whine about piddly insignificant matters.
second, perhaps everyone should look at the disclaimer and other info about this site before posting, THE COMPANY DOES NOT RUN IT! CONSUMER PROBLEMS WILL NOT BE FIXED THIS WAY!.
third, for all the employees that are so unhappy, there is a simple solution to your problems, QUIT!
fourth, consumers, grow up! stuff happens. Anyone who has ever worked in any kind of food industry knows this. People drop things in restaurants, stuff gets accidently in food, machine schematics go off kilter, get over it! I'm sure you have all cooked something at home to find a hair in it, or it slightly burnt at times. Do you beat yourself up about it.
Get a life. If you wanna complain, complain about starving children, war, the economy, global warming, nuclear warfare, endangered species, and the important thing. Not that there wasn't enough filling in your ding dong to satisfy you! |

purchased the 10ct Twinkies, upc 45000-00316, at a local Piggly Wiggly.
After my 4 year old son took his first bite he came to me and showed me that
there was something in the middle. I broke the Twinkie apart and found a 1
1/2 inch substance that was gray in color and had a had a gummy texture. I
was disappointed when I saw this and was not able to find a consumer affairs
phone number on the package. So I am posting on this board in hopes you will read this. Why do you not put a phone number on the package and also why do you let these people have this type of website? After reading these posts and my own experience I have decided not to purchase any IBC products anymore.

I recently purchased a loaf of "Wonder Italian Seedless Bread" from each of 2 separate retail
Supermarkets. In each case the bread had some brown areas on most of the slices. At first I thought it was
mold of some sort , then concluded it probably was caused by some brown dough somehow cooked
in the loaves.
Obviously, there is a quality control/manufacturing problem. I buy this bread a lot and these are the only
problems I have ever had.
What initially concerned me
was the possibility of product tampering. I threw away the first loaf without eating any. I did eat
most of the 2nd loaf after I felt pretty comfortable that it was simply a glitch.
I did want you to know about this incident as I am sure you don't want bread to look like these loaves.
I do not want a refund or anything. I just want to make thecompany aware of what happened.

I see from other posts on this board this happens with a lot of their products. Can you imagine how much money they are making by doing this. Think about the tuna industry that reduced their contents from 6.25 oz to 6 oz in the can and still charge the same price. |

I have always enjoyed these products and have never had a problem in the past. I'm sure it was just some fluke thing.

I have been eating BeefSteak Hearty Rye bread for close to three decades. Is there something they have changed in the production process of this bread? Lately I have not been at all satisfied with it's quality. Seems like it started about 4 months ago, that the bread wasn't up to it usual texture or form. I didn't really think anything of it back then, but since then I've noticed the same flaws repeatedly. There seems to be holes in the slices on a regular basis. Through the whole loaf this is happening again and again. Big holes at times. The texture also seems to be more crumbly. Not firm like it has been in the past. I am getting more and more inclined to switch to another type of rye bread. If this is the way you are making it now and forever, then I definately will buy another. Please let me know if you are aware of this change.

Hello,
I have to share this with you. I am a grown adult woman who works in an
office with a woman who gets a pepsi and hostess cupcakes every so often
for lunch.
OK, so that is not a good lunch but today I suggested it and she said
that she didn't like getting three in a package lately (boy, three!
That's one more than I expected to eat today and I was smiling).
Well, she just came back and it is back to the two pack (ok, so I wasn't
smiling as much) and I am eating my two pack while working and I said to
myself, "these are awful dry" and it dawned on me that I had no filling,
so I broke open the other and sure enough, no filling.........Chocolate
hostess cupcakes with no filling.............Have you seen a grown woman
cry lately.
And hers were gone and you can bet she had filling and she didn't share.
:(
Just had to give you a laugh |

Merita Bread has been a favorite in my state for as long as I can remember. I cannot understand why you would want to tamper with success the way you have in extending the shelf life of your products. The quality of your product has been severely compromised. Do you not realize there is competition out there? Flowers already has better hot dog and hamburger buns. You have also decreased the size of the bread and still charge the same price. Do you think the consumers are stupid? You are only cutting your own throat. |

I went to the store and purchased Honey Buns 2 for $1.00. The next day my son went to open the Honey Bun and it had a bug sealed inside of the package. Of course he did not get to eat the Bun and was very disappointed. I had gotten rid of the receipt so I could not take it back. So now I am out of the money and the Bun as well. I still have the package unopened with the BUG inside. So could you please tell me why there are bugs in it and why I should miss out on this all together?

I was just wondering if they still made a product I used to love. I remember when Hostess made Pudding Pies, like the fruit pies, but with vanilla pudding inside of a chocolate covered crust. Are these still around? I haven't seen one in many many years, but I got to thinking about them recently. Let me know what you can.

For all of you that have noticed a difference in freshness. This is due to a change in product shelf life. Hostess always prided itself on this until a change in upper management. one person has decided to change the code from 7 days to as much as 20-30. This may produce increased profits in the short term but will destroy the company in the long term. In some cases mold has even started to form on product before it is pulled from the shelf. I am very discouraged with this new attitude towards the customer. |

Where could we find information or policy reguarding management and supervisor authority and conduct. Apparently, the rules and benefits apply to everyone except for him. He also is one of two minority workers in the depot and cannot get help from human resources or union reps. What do I do, all they do is lie and lie to him? |

Comment: The supervisors in the Alexandria, Louisiana Holsum Bakery need to treat their workers better. I have noticed the bakery is not very clean. I have caught 2 RATS and have seen MANY roaches. I WILL NOT FEED MY FAMILY BREAD THAT CAME FROM THAT BAKERY. The supervisors only care about themselves, and how many times the knives on the bread dough divider go round and round. The leadmen on the bunline are not worth 2 pints of cold piss. One just dont give a damn and the other one is more interested in snorting Cocaine... |

I buy Devil Dogs on a regular bases, but to my surprise when I opened the box I bought today they are a LOT smaller than usual, WHY? I like the size they were before and would spend a little more if need be. These were so small my children ( ages 10, 6, and 2) noticed the differance and asked what happened and if they could have another one.
If you have an answer for me that would be great thank you.

Wow! The wonder (no pun intended) of reaching big business! It is certainly difficult reaching the maker of Ding Dongs and Twinkies! But here I have finally climbed the mountain top to talk to the powers that be!
My message is only to help my husband. He has been a fan of Ding Dongs for as long as he can remember and let me tell you that's been a long time! He often will get the urge for a chocolatey bite of that yummy chocolate cake with cream filling....so I will buy a box as a treat.
So you can imagine the pain and the anguish that occured the other day. Being a bus driver, my husband does not have many moments of quiet, as you can imagine. So when he does he relishes them. This particular day, he had saved his extra special Ding Dong for that minute of quiet time and opened the foil pack and took a bite, and low and behold, there wasn't any cream filling! OH MY GOSH!
You can imagine the sadness in his voice when he called me to report this terrible thing! Why? Why did this happen to him? He's always been a good bus driver and never did anything wrong (well, hardly anything...)
So please can you help give back his faith in corporate america? Please send him his own pack of Ding Dongs with cream filling. It would be wonderful to see him smile again....
Thank you for listening.

Dear Interstate Brands: 7/18/03
Yesterday, at Albertsons, I requested a phone no. to contact Milbrook Bread. The number I got was 323-753-3521. When I called the No. I got an answering system and there was no choice for customer relations. So. today I will phone Albertsons customer service to complain about your Milbrook 100% Whole Wheat Bread which sells for $3.00 a loaf . Actually, I really like Milbrook whole wheat - it is truly whole grain, does not have "high fructose corn syrup sugar", very low in fat - good tasting and HEALTHY! I am a 59 year old woman who values my health and I try to purchase food low in sodium, low in fat, no trans fats,, etc. - no
refined flower, low sugar - to the extent possible. Your whole wheat bread fits my diet & lifestyle. However, the past couple of months, the loaves of Milbrook bread I have purchased have had holes in the middle (some holes over an inch in diameter). For a $3.00 loaf of bread - this is unacceptable. There are lower price whole wheat breads available - so, I have stopped purchasing Milbrook. Something is happening during the baking process which produces holes in the middle of the loaves. If this were a one time occurrance, I would not bother to write and complain but, for me, this is the third or fourth time in the past couple of months. $3 is too much for bread with a big hole in the middle of each slice.
Sincerely,
|

I normally purchase a 12 pack of Ding Dongs a week. Last week I purchased 2 packs (24) at HEB in The Woodlands, Texas. The number stenciled across the front of the box is JULY 31 B07 188 $3.49. We paid $5.00 for the two boxes (they were on sale--Thanks). When I opened the box at home, I noticed the first one I saw in it's plastic wrapper appeared larger than normal. I also noticed, the edge was partially open and some chocolate colored debris was smudged along the fold of the wrapper. I further opened the white plastic and realized there were two Ding Dongs mashed together in the one package. I did not eat either due to the irregular condition. My wife said she would take the box back to HEB but I refused as I was in need of the tasty snack. The next one in the package was also open but only contained one, as is normal. I didn't eat that one either. The third was unopened and was consumed (Yum). Normally my kids eat them too but I told them not to eat these as they might be contaminated (it worked--more for me!!).
I write to bring to your attention the possibility of improper handling or quality control in the packaging facility. Like I say, I am a faithful Ding Dong eater and don't want to do without my favorite snackcake.
Thanks,
P.S. I liked it better when they were wrapped in foil. If you have any pull with Oreo (Nabisco) I have a problem with them too. About (15) cookies were crushed on one end. Same shopping trip. |

I recently had a ding dong for the first time since I was a kid. I am now in my 50's.
I found it to be disappointingly dry and waxy. The photo on the packaging showed drifts of white center filling, while in
fact, a mere speck of filling actually exists.
While I do not recall, exactly what ding dongs were like when I was a child, I can be reasonably sure that if they are now
like they were then, few children would have eaten them to begin with.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
This afternoon I purchased a package of 8 Wonder Light Reduced Calorie Hot Dog Buns. The expiration date stamped on the bag is July 23; and, when felt through the bag, the buns felt fresh.
However, when we sat down to dinner this evening, my family and I were completely dissatisfied with the quality of these buns: My husband, in fact, asked if I had purchased old stock since the buns were extremely dry and "stale" tasting.
What's wrong????? Were "old" buns packaged in bags with an incorrect use-by date??? We hope you'd be interested to learn of our disappointment with Wonder's quality.

Dear Hostess Product Makers,
I'm sending you this e-mail as a complaint on a product which I paid $0.90 for out of a vending machine and was NOT satisfied with at all!!!! The product was Mini Muffins (Chocolate Chip), which I normally love. However, when I opened up this package it contained 2 mini muffins and then something that looked like muffins that my dog had eaten and then had come out from one end or the other of my dog!!! Now, while that "thing" may have been okay to eat, needless to say it looked so foul that it made me lose my appetite for anything that was in the bag. After seeing this I'm not sure I'll be spending any more money on that product. Just thought you ought to know.

Comment: I know sometimes it's very easy to overlook the obvious but the truth certainly must ring true. With IBC's latest insurance plan people are more than less likely to visit the doctor when carrying viruses which can be passed in food handling. This can be a potential danger to widespread outbreaks which is not only bad for the company, but also a deterring factor to the American economy. Then to top of the cake you may even lose your job if you call in sick. That's not negative critisizm just reality. |

I purchased a package of donuts from a vending machine and they are
horrible. They are so greasy you can't even taste them. I know that donuts
aren't good for you, but this is ridiculous. My TEETH feel greasy. I think
you need to rethink your powdered donuts.
I'm extremely disappointed.

So there are no pudding pies left in the world? None anywhere? You guys
don't have a stash in the bathroom or something?
I am desperate for a vanilla pudding pie. Actually, my true dream is
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Pudding Pie with the neon green filling.
Aahhh, those where the days.
I know with the threat of lawsuits, now may not be the best time to
bring back such an unhealthy product, but there are a lot of adults who
remember the great tasting pies of our youth.
Bring back the pies!!!!

I thought I would write to ask a question.
Today I bought a Dolly Madison apple real fruit pie. I was wondering if you normally mix the chocolate pie and apple pies together? Well the one that I bought today was. I asked 2 of my co workers if it looked like pudding to them and they both agreed. The only code that I could make out on the wrapper was 51A? I do not know if this is helpful, but I was quite suprised to find apple and chocolate together.

I am writing this letter in reference to a altercation I had with the St Louis Bakery location. I was employed at this location for 26 days and from the time I started I felt discriminated and violated by other employees and supervisors. I enjoyed working for this company and was let go as of July 3rd 2003. I was told by several supervisors that I was an outstanding worker and was on time always. My job position I held was a pan stacker and over operator. I would like to know if there is anything you could do to solve this matter I was advised by sevral people to obtain a lawyer and pursue this matter in court. |

THANK YOU IBC for everything. We are so gracious for the 25 cent raise that you gave us each year for the last 6 years. it don't even keeps pace with the cost of living. we work 24 hours a day 7 days a week and its hotter than you know what. The reason we are striking is about insurance. The company will make us pay and then raise the amount we pay, then raise the premiums, then give us horrible insurance. You are opening up a can of worms when you start paying your own insurance. You hear story after story about this across the country. As for the unemployed, PLEASE come down and apply at this great IBC that you speak of. It is such a great place to work at that the turnover rate is unbelievable. We hire 15 people at a time and maybe one will stay. So before you post something here, please know what you are talking about. All by the way, thank you IBC for allowing us to come back to work everyday................ |

All IBC employees should be happy that the company asks them to come back to work everyday. Ask some of the unemployed around the country if they would like to work for a company that is very competetive in salary and provides health care and pension plans. I think striking employees should take a hard look the rising cost of health care and commodities and feel lucky that IBC lets them come back to work day after day |

After taking a bite of this I realized it didn't taste just right. So I look at the package date on the front. The date on the front was August 2001. This is over 2 years old. I thought that maybe you would like to know.

Greetings:
I would like to share my experience with you regarding this product.
This morning, I went to the vending located in my company kitchen. I saw
your Tiger Tails product, and thought, "Gee, that looks pretty yummy," so I
inserted my dollar into the machine, and made my selection.
I got back to my desk, opened the package, took a bite, and found that there
was a coating of coconut on the product!
This fact, while found in the ingredients, was unbeknownst to me when I
purchased it via the vending machine. Unfortunately, I am somewhat "coconut
intolerant" and eating coconut leads to unfortunate consequences for me.
Needless to say, one bite was all I could stomach, until it came up...
I spent a whole $0.70 on the product. The really
important thing to me however, would be to have the coconut listed on the
front of the package so that people would know it is on the product.

I just wanted to let you know that I just purchased a box of your 8 individually wrapped cupcakes, and they were old, stale, the chocolate frosting had turned brown and with hard cracks, they were the worst cupcakes I had ever purchased.
The Package had a LAST SALE DATE OF MR JUL 25 701883 $3.79, I guess that was last year, since today is only July 13th. The individual wrapped cupcake wrappings looked like they had possible not gotten sealed properly, so maybe you have a machine problem at the plant. I have been purchasing Hostess Products all my, I have always told people I have never eated a bad cupcake, well I only took a bite and it was bad.

I have purchased two boxes of Dolly Madison Butterscotch Iced Zingers at my local grocery store and they have both been extremely stale and inedible. The store I purchased the product at was Lobills Grocery Store in Greencastle, IN.
I purchased one box when they were on sale a couple of weeks ago. This is what is stamped under the Last Sale Date on both boxes:
0849 D52166 JUL 17
I love the product, but am hesitant to purchase any more because of the lack of freshness. Our local Wal-mart does not carry the Butterscotch Iced Zingers or I would purchase them there.

Your light Rye Bread goes moldy long before the expiration date. I am a regular buyer. Twice a week. Lately it gets moldly at least 2 or 3 days before the expiration date but today was the limit - bought on 7/6 today 7/11 it is moldlly - expiration daaaate 7/17- I hope no one is buying this bread today. I brought it back to the store since I am tired of having the bread go moldlly on me long before the expiration daaaate. God help those that buy it on or just before the expiration date. |

I would like you to check out the other batches and recall them?..again I am very unhappy to have to throw these donuts out, but I will not eat them again?. |

As a regular--almost addicted--consumer of these muffins, I was concerned when i bought another box and found less than good quality muffins. These were stale tasting, dry and almost tasteless.
The numbers on the box are A62 129 and June 23.
These were bought in date, but I have had trouble communicating with this company. I tried to go through the 800 information numbers and they were not listed. I decided not to write a letter and finally decided to try posting. I hope this works.
The price on the box is $3.49 plus there is an 8% sales tax here. I am relatively sure that I paid less than that price since it was purchased at Wal Mart. |

I had a dinner party tonight and "cooked" your "wonder" bread garlic bread as per package instructions. I opened it up and it was still raw. There was no oil, no garlic and the bread was raw. I would have been better off sticking raw bread dough on my guests plate. After they left, I put the sliced bread back in the oven and tried to cook it some more....this is disgusting. I won't buy this product again. I am an experienced cook. I was serving home smoked meats, cole slaw and beans. The rest of the dinner was terrific. I let everyone know about your bread. Yuk. Take home a loaf, or better off, buy some at the local store and try it yourself. Just don't have your friends around. Sign me, a very pissed off customer. |

My family likes your Country Hearth Old Fashion White and Old Fashion
Wheat breads. However, I can only find it at the Wonder Bread thrift store
and most of the time they are out. The employees there said they only get
"overbake" sometimes and they don't know where it comes from or when it will
be at the thrift store. They also do not know where else to buy it.
Do you sell these breads in the Idaho Falls, Idaho area? If so, where
can I find them. Do you package them under a different name?

Comment: Well I have a few hidden secrets for all IBC customers. First, the management and Shift supervisors at this location are two faced, they tell you that you are good worker and when you are not around they knife you right in the back. Second, this location is filled with asbestos and is so dirty filled with insects crawling on the ground (ie. roaches). That is why I am filing a discrimination suit against them as soon as possible. All they want to do is hire lazy people that will not work hard and they steal company time. All I have to say is IBC you will get it hard when you hear from me and I will advise everybody I know not to buy any products you offer. |

I just bought a box of your powdered donuts and they are, by far, the worse, stalest, toughest, stale donut I have ever had. Your products are either staying on the shelf way too long or you need to rework your recipe or both. These donuts are inedible-I threw the whole box away because they were so bad this morning when I opened the box, I knew they would only be worse by time I got home tonight. I wasn't wrong. |

I just wanted to let you know that i purchased a loaf of Wonder Wheat Bread at a Shoprite grocery store with an expiration date of July 5, 2003. Today is July 2nd and the bread is already moldy. Some of the code numbers on the bread bag are 30 21:56 and 68173 07 01. I really enjoy the wheat bread and have recommended it to others. Just a little disappointed.

This week I purchased your Bread du Jour Buttermilk rolls - a favorite of
my family-at my local Pick N Save store in Wales, WI. The freshness date on
the package is July 20. I took them out of my pantry last night to make
them and they were covered in mold.
When I purchased these, there were two other packages of rolls on the
shelf that had obvious mold growing on them. The package I picked out
appeared to be mold free, but clearly is not.
I have always enjoyed these rolls, but I'll hesitate to purchase in the
future.

To whom it may concern; I wanted to let you know that we had a problem with a recent purchase of doughnuts which resulted in not eating this product. I purchased a box of "Powdered Donettes" at a local gas station, Motomart, on June 23, 2003. Their expiration date is July 7. I gave two of them to our daughter, ate one myself, and then discovered there is a powdered covered black doughnut. We quit eating the product. It took me a while to realize that it wasn't a chocolate doughnut that had fallen into the powdered side of the factory... if you have powdered, or chocolate covered doughnuts, the dough in both products is a yellow cake. Can you please explain to me 'what' this is in our box of doughnuts?!? Thank you |

To Whom This Matter Concerns:
My mother and myself purchased a box of Caromel Ho Ho's for the first time approximately a week ago. Upon opening the box we took two out. I opened the first one for myself and my mom to split. It was delicious !!!
I went to open the second one only to find that it was already opened and very obviously tampered with before the box had been sealed. The cake was cut and placed backwards onto the other piece, and then put back into the silver wrap, then into the box which, again, was properly sealed when we opened it.
I am alarmed and quite concerned at the quality of this product. I shudder to think what this could possibly be, and how terrible it would be for a child to have received this product. What possible factory standards do exists have to let this make it to the grocery shelf.
I have saved the product. My mother just wanted to return it to the grocery store, but I felt compelled to advise everyone, and will gladly send the product for analysis. Needless to say we would like a refund, but more importantly Interstate Brands needs to be aware of this product problem. I am shocked.

the change that you have made to your fruit pies is not a good change.
i can remember eating the pies and the crust being covered with frosting on both sides. now you can barely find any frosting on them. i would love to taste the frosting again. also the pies are smaller. leave the pies at the size they were at and put more filling in them. |
