Comment: Dear HR department in Kansas City
Why will you not do your job and adress serious concerns.
The post was a cry 4 help and you stand by and watch people drown. Never a question asked. This is typical in this location and a very sad situation.
Why won t Kansas City look into this? Guess the company wants all the older people gone so they can have there way with rookies.

Comment: WELL,
Here we go AGAIN. Yet ANOTHER man quit. 15 years of service. GONE. In a time when the bakery has hardly any people left that's been there over 6 months one of the last things we need to happen is another man gone.
You bunch of ignorant assholes. YOU HAD BETTER PULL YOU HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS! Your gonna end up with nothing but a punch of 3rd street crack heads running you bakery. Then what are you gonna do?
And to the HR dept. I hear you got the same letter that was posted here 2 weeks ago. WAY TO GO you morons. NOT ONE WORD. NOT ONE QUESTION> NOTHING you act as if your clueless. Well I guess its not such a BIG act. You are pretty shallow. As long as you and Jeremy get to eat on company money and go to tunk's and have your little "private" meetings all is well and good in holsum land.
YOU MAKE ME SICK! |

RSR's are nothing more than order takers/delivery drivers.
You see, RSR is just a fancy name for an order taker/delivery. Think of it as someone calling themselves a Sanitation Engineer, when they do nothing more than empty garbage cans from the street.
ROFL...

Comment: I think Mr. Alverez will do a good job but, the question is "Can he do a good job if the the current upper managment team that put us in this mess is still in place"? We have to get rid of most of the upper management and hire someone from a food company thats growing like frito-lay, little Debbie, Ect. We need a team that wants us to continue to make quality products and grow to the next level.I believe the current upper management is lost and don't know witch way to go. Look my truck goes out whether it it full of product or empty .We need to get a little more competitive and adjust our pricing accordingly to all the markets. Let's face it ,We have the name but the consumer don't care about the name, they care about the price! |

Don't waste your time or energy calling for a IBC thrift store in your area. IBC no longer needs them and apparently they don't need you either. Don't take it personal! IBC is known for having their head up their ass when it comes to taking care of business. IBC is more concerned with feeding farm animals than human beings. Just ask one of your local Farmer John hogs. |

I want to voice my concern for the closing of my neighborhood Thrift Store, located in Bremerton, Washington. That store has been in our community for 45 years and has served us very well. We are more than sad to see it go. It is devastating to our community. We have so many elderly and low income residents that now have to pay full price for for all the products that our neighborhood Wonder Bread Store had to offer. How sad is it that you have toclose a store that ment so much to so many , for one Corporate.cut back. I alsothink thatit is incredibly unfair to the Employees to do this right before Christmas. That is not just sad but wrong.
Regretfully a former consumer of your products. |

I think that some of the depot mangers need to properly train their staff before they just stick them on a bread truck to deliever bread. It is not the fact that they can't do the job its just the managers don't take the time to show them properly. They just leave them out their hanging and thats not right. |

Or is it. i think the only way to make public this fact is through the workers who know something is not right. |

Just got word come December 14, IBC will be asking BK judge to ward off payments to creditors and plaintiffs lawsuits several additional months (maybe years!). Their lawyers will be arguing that postponing these payments will not be prejudicial. What a joke! How would IBC like waiting a year or more before you paid them for those cupcakes you just ate. And there is no guarantee IBC will have the money to pay these people either. What a comical group of Assholes! What all this mumbo jumbo really means is that IBC is strapped for cash. Don't forget... IBC has been on a cash only basis, with many if not all of their suppliers, including multiple power and gas companies! No cash payment--no electricity, gas or raw products to make and bake bread! It's as simple as that. Don't forget to cash your payroll checks instead of making a deposit with them at your bank. The day is coming when IBC payroll checks will start to bounce. Then your bank will tell you two weeks after your date of deposit that your checking account is out of funds and overdrawn! Then you are really just screwed! |

Comment: Its comforting to know that Mr. Alvarez has assembled our IBC Executive Team to help IBC emerge from Chapter 11 protection. The problem I see is that four of the team members are from the old team that put us in this mess? Mike Kafoure from the original team probally should let him go because he had input into the mess we are in ?, Ron Hutchison brought in at the last minute but hasn't done nothing yet but collect a big paycheck,
Kent Magill rather settle that lawsuit with some big $$$ instead of fight, Hank Richards got to be on the take with the Unions because they keep getting bigger and better contracts. The other team members are from Mr. Alvarez's company, John Sukow, Bob Campagna,Jacques Roizen, Charlie Reeves we will have to wait and see if they can do anything. Hopefully they won't ask for any information from the first four because you know they don't know anything, Look at the mess they put us in? |

I recently bought a package of Hostess HoHoHos at my local Acme and was
disappointed to find that 2 of the individually wrapped cakes had
unsealed wrappers. This is not the first time I have found unsealed
wrappers in a package of HoHos. HoHos are my husband's favorite snack
cake and we are very disappointed with the quality of the packaging.
The printed code on the box reads: "DEC.10 68321 $5.42/LB 15:56 $3.39"
I hope this will help to identify the problem. Thank you. |

To who it may concern.
I have been an employee for almost thirty years.
Our check do not come in envelopes. Sometimes do for special occaisions. But every other company does, except ours. WHY ?
Our supervisors does. He makes coments to others about our checks. They are on display for anyone to see. Its common knowledge we do not all make the same pay. Would you like your check on the desk at work so everyone could see. This has been this way since my tenure with Wonder Bread. We can pay the 3 cents it would cost per check. I am sure everyone would be in agreement with me.
For all these years, I wonder why one would even have to ask for this to be done.
Does everyone see your check ?

Comment: I started working for I.B.C. 5 months ago..and the things I see in my depot is just amazing. First off my wonderful truck probably from 19- who knows when, has broken 4 times, my printer in truck has been replaced 3 times, I have no window wipers, no headlights. I just fix it myself because if I waited for the mechanic I would be there for hours. During the "hurricanes" I saw so much bread just wasted because of over ordering or double ordering that I could probably make a wheat field the size of Florida, with the amount bread just thrown away. The health code violations, the code of conduct that is performed my managers there is just plain unacceptable. We don't have the right tools to do our job, we REALLY don't have the right people doing the jobs in all areas, people don't care in company, they just a paycheck and if that means leaving stale on shelf so be it. If managers don't care, why should the route drivers, we aren't route sales reps, we are stock boys, let's face it. I have seen warehouse people abusing their time sheets, I have seen people using racial slurs during safety meetings, and to think the company lasted this long. I sometimes "wonder" myself why I stick around, I know it won't get better, it will just get worse. My depot alone wastes so much product in over ordering, stale and just plain "pushing" that I am suprised that they haven't come down and shut down the depot. I am just waiting for the day when someone gets killed from of their trucks, or eqiupment, then that final law suit will tank them. |

Yes the quality of the products has really gone down hill. We have contacted the health department several times. They've cut labor to the point that consumers can't possibly get clean, quality products. If a person calls in sick with the flu this company tells them to show up even if they are sick. I really don't think people with the flu and a bad cold should be working around food and people. Of course our union rep. Karen C. will do nothing to help us. All the off the clock work,no breaks, company not following the contract, etc. and our union has been of no help. Lets all quit buying products from this company. After all it's not the only company in the world that makes bread. |

And the last time I looked a cashier makes more money than a stock boy at any business. Good luck to route sales when AG has thier bread delivered to the warehouse and they take it to the stores themselfs. You I guess won't be needed anymore. Another route bites the dust ! |

They call it wonder bread because it's a wonder any one would buy it and it's really a wonder any man or woman would work for this company for more than one day. They really do treat the employees like dirt. I'm so glad I quit working here. Just wish I would fo done it sooner. Yes the quality of the products has really gone done hill. They don't care about quality any more than they care about their employees. This company could win a gold star for the worst company in the usa to work for. I thought 70 hour work weeks went out of style the same time horses and buggies went out of style. I know from exp. there are better companies to work for . |

To those who think they are more of a valuable asset above another keep in mind:
No matter how will you do your job, work hard, go the extra mile, etc. EVERYONE is expendable.
If you forget this, you will be in for a rude awakening!
In business, it always comes down to the bottom line. If eliminating jobs, cutting benefits, selling pieces of the company slowly is what it takes to save money, well the company will do just that. It is all about surviving, and the company will do whatever it takes to survive.
Keep your eyes and ears open, and have an updated resume handy.
Good Luck to all the employees of IBC.

Comment: You poor account manager. Think you are so important don't you. Well if the stores do close up and the poor customer has to buy from a local store , I'm sure going to feel sorry for them when they go to the 4 ft. shelf and try to buy 6 loaves of bread and you route sales only do a 2 face so that is 2 lost sales of that bread. Guess the saralee salesman gets the sale. No way can you pick up the sales when stores close, your stores won't give you the space since you can't pay for it. |

Why in the hell would I want to buy flat bread????
If I want flat bread, I would just flatten it myself.
Consumers are stupid???? Now, this statement shows how IGNORANT this man is.
No wonder this company had to file Chapter 11. I bet he is NOT the only person in this company that thinks this way.
BEWARE CONSUMERS:
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STOP BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS!!!!
Unhappy Employees = Poor Products
The company and their employees only want your money; they do not care if you are unhappy with your purchase.

Comment: Some late breaking news I figured I would share with you.
In a bold move move our Master Baker / Motivator (Mike Cambell) has forever changed the bread business as we know it.
The introduction of FBR is moving swiftly along as planned. Soon this recipe will be introduced into your market and you will see the benefits of FBR.
What is FBR you ask?
Flat Bread Recipe
A little history about this amazing product
It was first introduced into the low carb bread market. It has the ability to flatten itself from its own weight. It just kind of well....................goes flat.
During an interview with Mr. Cambell at Outbacks he told me "I have a vision of everyone buying this bread"
I told him I thought he was kidding and he set the record straight. He said
"What you do not realize is the consumer is stupid. They do not know what they want.I do however and it is FBR.
The space saved by using this product is simply amazing."
When asked if he would get negative feedback from the route drivers he said
"Route drivers are stupid and never do what they are told. I however can motivate them by telling them the positives.
1) FBR is going to reduce space. You will be able to stack bread 5 high in the space normally reserved for 2 without the bread getting any flatter.
2) This will reduce the number of trays the company has to buy. When a tray collapses the bread will be fine. No need to even fix it because FBR is designed to eliminate this problem.
3) During hurricanes FBR will allow for massive amounts to be put on the shelf. This eliminates the need to pull up the store every hour."
When asked about the long term goal of his plan he said
"This is like Picasso painting, Dale Jr racing, and Mr. Bush leading. Sometimes you just gotta go for it and thats MY PLAN.
I have just implemented FBR into the 100% wheat bread and plan to move swiftly along on Wonder Bread.
Soon I will get it to a bakery near you!'
In recent test markets some of the following things were noted.
1) Customer 8 had tears coming out of eyes
2) Customer 6 had such a big smile she was about to laugh.
3) Customer 1 could only say the word unreal
Mr. Cambell said "The looks on their faces says it all!!"
FBR is on the way people ready or not.
Resistance is Futile.
When the company emerges out of Bankruptcy remember to say thanks for saving my job Mr. Cambell.
Have A Holsum Day

I had been diagnosed with Celiac disease which prevents me from consuming anything with gluten, including the wonderful Merita bread that I love. Is there any chance that your company will ever make a gluten free bread? Life is rough without a good tasting bread. Alternative gluten free bread tastes like sweetened cardboard!
Thanks and I look forward to your reply. |

The SOAR program and those that followed it , were signs of desperate attempts by Corporate to cover up their personal inabilities to think, manage and to promote IBC's products and operations on a day by day basis. Once again, it is a vivid lesson in business that money and opportunity alone do not guarantee one's success in America. Currently, IBC is led by individuals more familiar with bankruptcy laws than leading and directing a business built upon baking, distribution and sales of baked goods. Apparently, these same individuals are hoping for a miracle! A miracle the size and order of a world where no one gets older, gets cancer, gets aids, gets divorced, gets dead or gets born! Whatever is needed will be provided on an as needed basis by someone or something other than a human being! Do you get the picture yet? If IBC is able to continue to exist in business, it will be because there was no need to enter the world of bankruptcy in the first place! Corporate was doing the right thing. Their Managment was doing the right thing. Their workforce was doing the right thing. Their Consumers were doing the right thing. Their Government was doing the right thing. Their world was doing the right thing. You and I were doing the right thing. And now the "right things" are going to happen to take place. It is only a matter of time before we all know what is going to happen with IBC. and what, if anything, it will come to mean to us all! |

Comment: I am commenting on your comment about how the Thrift Store is needed and people will lose jobs. You have the intelligence of a cashier. Good if the cashiers lose their jobs, they can find one at Wal-Mart or 7-11, and as far as the transport drivers, etc, that means more money freed up for IBC. They can drive somewhere else too and find work quickly. Believe me the thrift store does not help but hurt, those loaves of bread you sell will now be sold at the stores for more money! You are only a pain for the sales office, no route person relies on you for anything MS. Cashier. |

It's know wonder your company is having finanacial problem's the quality of your product's have gone down hill over the last 6-8 years. Not
to mention your line of bread product's lack's in variety but besides all of these problem's the biggest problem your company has is the way it is managed. With out a doubt the management has got to be some of the worst in business I would like to know trains these people to be such a-holes It seems like all of the mgmt runs around on the market like they just got gang raped.I know this to be true as a former 10 year route driver in the cinti market. The first person they should get rid of there is JERRY DENT what a F-ing A-hole
I think the light at the end of the tunnel for IBC is a train |

Comment: The Soar program was always a positive step in the right direction. The current new management will suceed in making IBC a profitable company once more. Great citys and empires were not formed in a short period of time and IBC will take time to restore its place in the growing and competive market place. All concerned will have to bare the heavy burden of reconstruction and regional planning. Our place in the stock markets are growing stronger every day. Great job management and keep up the good work. |

Comment: All of you Morons who are so happy to see SOAR out the door better stop and think twice. Ask your payroll clerk how long the software that pays your checks is still supported. The SOAR project they were working on was to make a system to pay you! Now that it is shut down there are 2 things that means, either a) they have no plans for jobs for anyone and you are screwed, or B) there are so many of you going bye bye they can run the new payroll system on quickbooks or C) They don't care if you get your paychecks or not, so long as the GO gets theirs, screw the rest of you.... my guess? A combination of all 3.... Yee Haaa SOAR is over, have your party and then think about how glad you are that SOAR is gone while you wonder when you'll get your next paycheck.... |

Comment: To: Retiring soon,
The 5% end of year benefit added to your 401-K program was suspended this year. I ASSUME that this was for this year only, due to our company's current financial situation. In the letter we all received, they lead me to beleive that when the financial crisis is over, they will continue it.
The weekly matching funds of 60 cents on the $1, continues as usual. Bottom line? All of us non-union employees took a 5% decrease in benefit pay. To put this another way, we are unvoluntarily contributing to our companies ability to operate.
Personally, I beleive they will start it back again at the end of next year. This is not a fact, it is my opinion. |

To whom this may concern,
I recently purchased one of your Hostess Fruit Pies Cherry. It usually is full of cherries. This pie did not have a single cherry in the whole pie. The upc code on the back is 0 450280 5 The date code on the front of the package is dec08 51B 324. I have never purchased one of your pies without any actual fruit inside. This morning I bought a package (4oz.- 3 sticks in a pack) of the Dolly Madison Dunkin' Stix at a Chevron station here in Lexington, KY, and there was a piece of a dunkin' stick that had mold on it, and on another dunkin' stick, there were a couple of little green dots (that I think are mold too). The date on the package is Dec 22, so I know they should be fresh.
I just thought you all should be aware of this so it won't cause any major problems for you. |

The fact that such a meeting (seeking to hide important IBC information from public view and asking for special treatment before a BK judge) are signs that all is not well at IBC. There can be no doubt their SOAR program really served IBC's competitors needs in killing off what was left of this once a productive company. Acting together, Soar, employee driven lawsuits, the stock market fiasco and no one at the helm served to remove what was left at IBC. Now IBC will be seeking to support all of their operations on a substantialy reduced portion of gross sales. The only thing left for them to do is to piece meal operations and other assets out in an attempt to pare down to survive. |

Comment: What's up with the Omnibus meeting with the Judge?? Is there money or not....the stockholders had won a place for their reps to be there, I thought. Maybe they "accidently" plussed the sales staffs too many bonuses for themselves. What them worry, they didn't have to handle the product overloads and stale. They got to scream at the saleman about his stale %. It's hard to believe all this happened because so much individual greed and bad management. I pray that there is enough to salvage, but why the silence about the court meeting, why try so hard to keep it all quiet.
And you guys out West.....get a grip and work your routes instead of your mouth in case there IS something to save. |

I purchased a one pound loaf of Wonder Stone Ground 100% Whole Wheat Bread. Since there was no address for me to write to in order to send in an actual piece of the bread, I located this site on the internet.
Half of the pieces of whole wheat bread had a "blob" of a white dough like substance (about the size of a quarter) in the bottom right hand corner. This substance was hard to the touch. |

Because of the excellent nutrition value, I have been eating Hostess Fruit and Grain Cereal Bars for over a year. Unfortunately I have not been able to find them recently in our local super markets. They are the Low Fat Bars that come in Strawberry, Blueberry, or Raspberry flavors and are in a blue and white box.
Can you help me locate this product someplace in Iowa? I live in Des Moines..
Thank you! and Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear Interstate Brands,
As a devoted customer, I would like to inform you of a product defect I found in my ding dong product today. With three witnesses and myself standing by, I opened my daily ding dong to find one of the cakes half eaten or half gone. It appears as if someone took a bite out of it on the assembly line prior to packaging. I am a faithful customer of your products and feel it pertinent that I receive some kind of reimbursement for this mishap. Attached is a photo of the defective product, taken immediately after opening. The product has been put in a plastic bag and froze should you need it for any testing. All labels have been saved as well. Please alert me should you need any more information and use the contact information below.
Thank you for your time,

As for the Better Way Breads... they simply didnt sell that well..... maybe they havent been promoted well enough...
As for your perception that the bread driver didnt order an item simply because it sells well is the exact opposite of what is done... Keep in mind that the route drivers are on commission. Believe me, if it really sold well, it would be ordered.
As for the Big Bear Honey wheat... it was definitely NOT the best selling of the 4 flavors, it was #3. As for why it has been discontinued, that is a mystery to everybody, it simply quit coming in when the drivers order it. |

I just want to take a minute of your time to see if my judgement of IBC products noted on this site are grounded in truth. IBC changed it's branded products do much that they no longer are what they once were. Does this not in fact change what used to be into what now is! If this is so then Wonder Bread is no longer what it once was. Hostess cupcakes are not either. Then how can these namebrand products continue to worth more than the rest. Baked bread is baked bread. Please reply! ESP is SOL! |

Comment: Alvarez will get $3.85M if IBC avoids liquidation
In addition to receiving salaries and expenses, the turnaround firm charged with taking Interstate Bakeries Corp. through bankruptcy will get incentive compensation of at least $3.85 million if IBC avoids liquidation.
The agreement, amending one that Interstate Bakeries and Alvarez & Marsal signed Aug. 27, also calls for Alvarez & Marsal to be paid $150,000 for each month that the turnaround firm's co-founder, Tony Alvarez, serves as CEO for Instate Bakeries.
It also identifies six Alvarez & Marsal employees who will be made available to help with the IBC reorganization at hourly rates ranging from $200 to $650.
In accordance with the Aug. 27 letter of agreement, Alvarez & Marsal received a $500,000 retainer. As of Monday, Alvarez & Marsal had incurred estimated fees and expenses of $440,000, according to the SEC report.
An additional payment of $190,000 to the retainer, added to the estimated $60,000 left from the initial amount, puts the retainer at $250,000, the report said.
In filing for bankruptcy, Interstate Bakeries cited liquidity problems resulting from declining sales, a high fixed-cost structure, excess industry capacity, rising employee health care and pension costs, and higher costs for ingredients and energy.
IT SURE LOOKS LIKE A LOT MORE PLUSSES ARE ON THE WAY PEOPLE!!!! It will never end !!!! |

Comment: We hear quite a few negatives about the Millbrook people over here, just want to confirm if what I am hearing is true or just more of the usual Mike Cramer BS.
Now that we run this show, the Millbrook people are being made to do some real work and earn their money the honest way.
True or False?
Most of the managers and supervisors are required to plug their HR manager to keep her happy and to keep their jobs.
True or False?
Most of the managers there have some sort of abnormal mental condition. When forced to earn their money the old fashioned way, they retaliate by going out, either on stress or in the looney mobil.
True or False?
Are you people really that bad?
We will never achieve the 1IBC dream unless you people start seeing everything our way. |

Whoever reads this,
Our family used to prefer the IBC Better Way Bread, until it became unavailable from any of our local
markets. It's aggravating that it became so sporadically unavailable before disappearing altogether.
I've noticed a grocery workers tendency to just forsake ordering any product which sells out so
regularly that they can't order enough of it, to keep it on the shelf. The practice smells of laziness,
which I notice your own employee message board also denotes.
I have no stock in the managment and marketing disputes among vendors and union reps. I am only
interested in a source to continue purchasing Roman Meal Big Bear Honey 12 Grain Bread.
If this product is being discontinued, the shelf stickers have not yet been removed by vendors!
the product has been unavailable from markets in my zip code for a full month. Furthermore, this
particular bread has been selling out more rapidly than the other Roman Meal whole grain varieties
since it's introduction, and for a month now the vendors won't be bothered to adjust their orders against
other stock. Does this have something to do with management/marketing directives for sales/promotional
items, or does this reflect, petty vindictiveness by the drivers for the company lower level management,
to just drop off the order a big seller so they can accomodate in facia the unreasonable demands of
sales marketing experts to comply with excessive volume sale items, ie home pride, mill brook and roman
meal flat top.

Yesterday, we bought a package of 8 ?Bread du Jour? Cracked Wheat Rolls from the local Safeway here in Davis, California. We baked them per directions.
Everyone at dinner noticed a strong, ?chemical? taste/odor to them, almost like a ?paint? smell. They were bad.
The only markings I can find on the bag beyond the weight are the numbers ?44179? and ?CON14517621?.
I hope you can determine what the problem is, because we?re not very inclined to repeat this mistake, despite having purchased them in the past.

Re: Glendale office workers seeking union support!
The fact that you have hunderds of unionized employees working in your workplace where you have remained to be non-union for years, should be facts of some concern for your consideration should you now attempt to become unionized!
Unions make deals with employers to "not organize" all their employees. I am sure this is the case here. Why would you give your rights over to a union who has been selling you out for years? My advice is to hold. Don't go fishing for something that will do you more harm than good? Think of poison every time you hear the word union in Calfornia. Do not bring it into your workplace, home or let your children be exposed to it. Unions today are not the answer to America's woes. I beleive unions today are simply organized groups of bullies, thugs and thieves. These union-taught traits are not notable for what American Labor needs to continue to bring world-wide peace, prosperity and goodwill back. How bad are Unions, you ask? Our federal government for the last 15 or more years has been overseeing the Teamsters Union in America. And despite this high level of federal oversight and control, the Teamsters Union continues to deprive, deceive and to cheat America and their workforce out of their Constitutional and Bill of Rights.
Their Arbitration Hearings or lack of, are a joke. Hitler gave jews more of a chance in seeking justice than you will ever receive from the Teamsters. Don't be fooled by their empty promises. Stay cool and stay in charge of your own destiny. |

To: Jason, "looking for help at plant 47."
After reading your recent post, it is now time to tell you that you need to retire ASAP. Your post discloses that you are male and your work location. Disclosure of your true name will soon follow a short period of investigation. Then the games begin for corporate muscle and directed at you! It's been nice working with you! Don't expect to collect unemployment either. I hope you have sent them on a wild goose chase with mis-information! It is your only hope.
You cannot standup in your workplace as a whistle blower and expect to keep your job. It just does not happen in Amercia. HR is not a place for employees to go with their problems, either on or off the job examples of mistreatment or complaints about their supervisors. Remember that HR is corporate entity and you are expendable. HR is on the inside track and you are on the outside looking in while barely clinging on by your fingernails as your work world spins out of control and you exit out and into space! Mr. Walt Disney created his empire out of a host of fairy tales that seemingly come true. You might be better off trying something along these same lines with your situation. Good Luck and Thank You for your good intentions. Every IBC employee soon comes to know what you have shared is absolutely the truth. They have to live with it every day of their lives, just like slaves! |

Comment: The Glendale office employees are not considering going union in order to bump any Pomona people, it's being considered for self protection only, they have had enough of the 'ONE I.B.C.' logic. Everyone in the office has to work every Saturday (because Pomona does) everyone has to clock in and out for breaks, they can't take more then two weeks of vacation at a time, they have to give prior written notice to their supervisor if they are going to be late or call in sick {yes, believe it I saw the form} all because Pomona does. When questioned about the split work week pay or why they are maxed at 5 weeks vacation instead of 6 they are told they don't get that because they are not union, Pomona get's the premium and 6 weeks because they are union. PLEASE does anyone not see this as a hint to join a union? Who could they turn to in that office? The Cholo, The one that can't read or write or speak English, or the Dyke, maybe go right to the top to Clueless? Should they talk to HR (and hear let me splain you ) if their lucky enough to hear anything at all? Go to the top in HR right to the big dog and pony show herself? What would you do, they may pay union dues but they would certainly gain benifits in the pension and medical departments. |

Comment: I know a way that your plant can save even more money since the entire comapny is having problems. Since diesel fuel is running close to $2.20 a gallon, how about your trucks shutting off the engines of these trucks rather than the trucks sitting idle for up to four hours at a time. Since we are neighbors with your bakery, we intend to be good neighbors, however your bakery has yet to do so. |

Comment: Hey Jason, grow some balls, if everything you say is true, and brother I really believe you, you don't take that shit. Stand up to this guy, force the issues, make HR see what this guys all about. Believe me, all it takes is one guy to lead and the rest will follow. Gather proof of what you see, take notes, take pictures, make your case, then take it to the top. If your getting verbel or physical abuse HR has to see to it something is done. Finally, just mention the word lawyer. This company does not like to spend money on legal fees. I know, I receive his horable product, and won't stand for it any longer. |

Comment: Another piece of advise Mr. Alvarez, take a look at how we manage our regional brands vs our national. Why do we reduce our exposure on the shelf by combining like items from two different brands that only cause us to compete with ourselves and force us to constantly battle for the same display space. Why are we screwing ourselves with Dolly bag Donuts merchandised along side Hostess Box Donettes that retail a whopping $1.30 higher for a few oz's more, yet they're produced by the same plant and the same formula. Consumers eventually figure this out, especially when you have Dolly or Butternut rsr's telling them its the same only they're cheaper. Why do we market the same product (donut holes} in three different venues and labels when one will do. I think if you drop the regionals, incorporate the best sellers to Wonder, Homepride or Hostess packageing we'd gain space and exposure, the rsr's would'nt have to handle four different brands with separate invoicing and market promo's to keep up with. I would have to think the savings in paper alone, not to mention the reduction in packaging on duplicate items that would dissappear would be tremendous. Let's get to 1IBC for real !!! |

Comment: Interstate Brands Corporation
November 21, 2004
Unfortunately I must write this letter to you anonymously. I have a true and genuine concern of being the target of retaliation if my name or department is found out. I am writing you with a great deal of concern for my hometown bakery. I have made a career here. In all my years of service at this bakery I have never seen such low morale, product waste, cover ups and disrespectful treatment of our employees!
I am not sure who can help us but I do believe that someone cares and wants to do what is right for us. I?m not sure if you are aware of our working conditions here in Alexandria, LA at plant # 47 but they are unpleasant and fastidious. To make my point I will make a short list of problems that can be reiterated by most all bakery persons in all departments in all pay classes no matter hourly of salaried.
1. The physical threats of violence made by some of the salaried managers and more often Mike Campbell.
2. The cover up of cripples and product waste by Mike Campbell and other department heads.
3. The verbal abuse by above mentioned.
4. The mental degrading by above mentioned
5. Extreme lack of morale through out all departments
This is in no way a complete list of problem areas, but some of the more common ones to all departments. I will now address these by number.
1: If things are running bad for whatever reason it is very common for Mike Campbell or one of the other supervisors to throw bread or bun pans, throw loaves of bread and buns. They have kicked over rollers and tray stacks and have told people that they will whip their ass. They often make sexual or racial oriented and degrading remarks. If a person has any kind of opinion other than Mike Campbell?s he calls them stupid, dumb ass, asks them how in the hell do they have enough brains to even write their names? Degrades them in front of the entire staff and makes fun of them once they leave the room!
2: It is with a heavy conscience that I mention the following. Each day/week we throw away thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of pounds of unaccounted for product. This is not a random thought or number. It is not an exaggerated figure. One such example is: one night during a grave yard shift, I?m not sure of the date, 13,000 + loaves of bread were thrown away. Even though they had to rerun 13 or 14 doughs of stone ground and wheat sandwich only 1/10th of that amount was accounted for. They wrote the rest off to scaling loss.
The dough sheets are redone several times each day to cover up cripples and lost time. Take this for the truth. There have been numerous people who brought this to Mike?s attention. He has run all of them off or forced them out of supervision. They are: Carl Kerry (quit), Neal Hooper (quit), Cedric Nelson (quit), Macarthur Berry (quit), Shawn Brown (quit), Glen Manual (stepped down), Robbin Hulin (stepped down), Kenny Washington (transferred), Jimmy Smith (stepped down), Kenny Redmond (quit, offered Assistant position to come back), David Griffith (quit, asked not to leave), Wiley Gordon (quit, asked no to leave). Rumor has it several others are in the process of leaving?
All these people who are listed above are salaried/company people! If nothing else you can see the amount of supervisor turn over. There is a pattern here. It is disturbing to see all this waste leaving the plant and that all the people who care are being silenced! It bemuses me that this has not been caught. There is an enormous amount of waste being written off as scaling or just plain covered up!
3: It is common practice for supervisors and more common Mike Campbell to have extreme temper tantrums on the production floor. Cursing at employees and other supervisors making any number of lude and degrading remarks, the likes of which I don?t care to repeat.
4: They do things that intentionally work on a person?s mental state. Working them 16hour+ days, giving them 10-12 hours off and calling that their off day, changing days off 6-7 times in one week. There are numerous instances of these kinds of actions.
5: As I mentioned before, never in all my years of service have I ever seen morale this low. Not only is our company going through difficult times, we see things like: all these cripples swept under the rug, the numerous schedule changes, being threatened with our jobs and lively hoods. All these things are coming to a head! I really believe there will be some kind of extreme explosion of some type if things don?t change. An example of this is when Kenny Redmond quit he threw his keys and hard hat across the production floor and stomped out!
I remember when corporate HR came to our plant and asked us about Mike Campbell. It seems things got better for a while, but are now worse than they were to start with! We have very little trust, pride, or ownership left. And NOW is the time we need it most! There are rumors of season tickets for LSU, big screen TV?s, large bar tabs at O |

Comment: Amen brother, the magnitude of stupidity is staggering from Godwin. Mr. Alvarez you need to lose our past before we can find the future. I to have seen 20+ and realize until Bob Morgan is reduced in stature, nothing will change because the intelligent managers can't move forward until the chain of Dolly Dumbass' in charge is broken. I hear from alot of old Dolly and other regional brand reps how we didn't get in this shape until Wonder / Hostess took over. Well excuse me, cause now i'm confused. I wasn't aware that Bob Morgan, Mike kafoure, Tim Cranor and the countless other college brats that have come and gone were ever products of the old CBC. No i believe they all mostly moved up together through the ranks of IBC, mostly on the Dolly side and now they don't know how to think outside their little boxes, which represented their little regional areas of cake and not bread, and manage national brands competitively under one roof, let alone one IBC. Yep, you get rid of Morgan and Tony the rest will take care of itself. |

Now this saturday they finally started shipping the ones from Memphis, only problem is Booneville produced them also. Now we got double and whats better, the ones from Memphis are coded Nov. 29th and they're already showing signs of molding. I figure they'll only toss around 20,000 or so. Nice job dumbass'. Lets keep creating reasons why we should close the doors. |

Did any one stop and consider that once the stores close that more loaders, production workers, shipping workers will not be needed anymore. And besides the transportation drivers will be cut. Then you so called route sales men will have to learn how to order your own bread because you will have to own your route, and no stores around to steal thier bread from to make your stale look good. |

"Why haven't the thrift stores all closed? It seems to me that closing all of them would be top priority, even if they make a profit after paying expenses. Why/ It is not rocket science. Thrift stores had there purpose in the past, but not anymore."
Sure, low income people go to thrift stores to buy cheap bread, so closing the Thrift Stores will only be hurting those customers.
As for the "tight asses" that have money, they will only look for something cheaper in the stores; therefore, your sales in your stores will not go up.
Tight asses are not going to buy your products because the Thrift Stores are closed...They will only switch to a different brand that is cheaper. After all, for "tight asses" with money, it all comes down to the bottom line.
I am a tight ass with money, however I never bought my products from Thrift Stores...I shop buy price/quality.
I have to say, IBC products are waaaaaay over-priced. If the quality of your products matched the price, I would be more than willing to buy your products.

No wonder vendors do not want to extend credit. Time to start cleaning house Mr. Alvarez - All these vice presidents to the vice president...to supply demand planners What a joke. Not sure about other bakeries - but MRP doesn't cut it - And how about that cosolidation of jobs...Hows it going Emporia (haha) |

RE: Why is Rocky always licking Hectors' ass? I believe that The Teamsters are in your workplace because they have been hired by your employer to make sure that you (the employee) do not have a chance in hell to protect yourself (or other employee's) legally against unlawfull treatment from them and/or your employer acting in concert and against your best interests. As an employee, you need to always remember that the
Teamsters Union are brought into your workplace and paid for by Employers seeking to control the actions of their employees and to protect themselves against class action and other types of employment-based lawsuits filed by employee-plaintiffs. Hence the need for Rocky to always be present with Hector in your workplace (To bear witness together [like lie] and against your interests should their need arize!). |

Whatever happens at IBC, we all need to keep the story real. IBC corporate is the leading cause for their struggles today. Their day to day operations and their labor force were doing everything they were directed to do. Corporations are not run from the bottom job descriptions up to the top. IBC leadership was just not there when it should have been and is still presently lacking in many respects. When IBC starts to accept and to publish their lists of past sins, only then will they hope to recover from the plague they have created and cast upon their organization. |

Comment: You speak of K mart comming out so well. The problem with your post is the old K mart stock, KM, turned out to be worthless through their BK. The new K mart stock is KMRT. The old shareholders of KM, got $.00 for their shares, and the new shareholders of KMRT are the ones doing well. When IBCIQ emerges from BK, the shares of IBCIQ will probably have no value either. The shareholders are screwed just like the creditors. |

Comment: Mr. Cooper, a few comments and suggestions. Being that the seniority lists have merged and when the dust settles next month whoever is left will be a combination of Millbrook and Wonder people. We will rally behind our company and you need to politely tell the Wonder District managers to drop the attitude that they are superior to the Millbrook people!! It serves no purpose other than to piss people off and breed bad attitudes. The loads have been much better and you can tell the men at the plants we see a definite improvement..keep up the good work! Need better communication on promos as we are ordering for displays at certain prices and it doesn't come through leaving us hanging for extra stale. Lastly, how about a Bakers Inn blitz...Lets commit to a 4 week promo 2 for 5 dollars and kick Oroweats ass!!!!!! |

Comment: I see the only thing thats happened so far is we had a big meeting. We gathered everyone together and came up with this neat new pretty blue newsletter thats called "On the Rise"
Unless Mr. Alvarez acts fast, It looks as if things are going to stay the SAME with the SAME old management we had before. Looks like SAME old shit. We are clueless again. Even Kmart cleaned house when they went bankrupt and look at them now. |

Comment: Route builder, what a joke if you go out of town and its less than a 100 miles no motel. Lets see 2hrs drive
12 hrs run route 2hrs back 1hr to eat
1hr to bath 1hr with family 5hrs sleep
next day same thing.Keep a record of all your hours tell wife to see a lawer if you are in a accident. If we all keep a record and call osha or state safety agency we can put a stop to this very unsafe practice. Even truck drivers are only allowed to drive so many hours safly.

I am taking a moment to write you because I just could not let this go unaddressed.
Tonight I was eating my Hostess Cherry Pie proof of purchase #450280 along with my sister and we both commented on the fact that the pie filling was only about 1/4 of the pie. I worked for 17 years in Customer Service and every day for about 3 years I ate one of these Hostess pies for breakfast and was completely satisfied. I recently started buying them again and have notices this. If your going to make a product at least try for 1/2 filled but 1/4 that's unacceptable.
Thank you again for reading this I am sure I will not get a response and if I do I am sure your excuse will be one that I can share with my sister and friends that we will all get a laugh out of. |

I have been a regular customer at your Wonderbread / Hostess outlet store located at 2550 100th street Urbandale Iowa for several years.... I have noticed over the years there has always been some smell of cigarette smoke when entering the store... Recently this smell of cigarette smoke is much more noticeable to the point of being very repugnant. I have never seen an employee smoking in the front area of the store but the reek of cigarette smoke is very strong. Today when I stopped after work at the store, I was distressed to notice that my clothing smelled strongly of cigarette odor after I left. I like the store and it is very convenient for my family, but I will not continue shopping there if I smell like an ashtray when I leave. I hope this problem can be resolved. Thank you |

I purchased a box of Hostess brand donuts from a local convenience store
this morning and after eating several donuts, I took a bite into a terrible
tasting donut. After almost throwing up and spitting it out, I inspected the
donut and was shocked to see under the chocolate coating there was this
black, hard and disgusting filling that has a fire smelling burning coffee
taste. I had an upset stomach and at this point and am wondering what is
this? I feel the need to have this donut inspected by a health expert at my
local city hall as I am not sure if eating this could cause sickness |

I was thrilled several months ago when Safeway Stores in my area started
carrying Wonder Light Hamburger and Hot Dog Buns. I was introduced to them in Southern California. I
love them. Much to my dismay, last week I went to purchase both types in my
Safeway Store and found that they have been discontinued. I don't think
there is much I can to to get Safeway to buy these for me. I was wondering
if there is any other store in the Pacifica, California, area that might
carry them. I am lost without them!!!

I recently purchased an Economy Pack (24 count) of your "Drake's Ring Dings" for my family and found several discrepances in the quality of this product. I listed them below:
1) Several (8 all totaled) of the individual 2 packs were flattened and the cakes appeared malformed
(as compared tothe other packages in the box).
2) Upon opening these packages - we noted the Frosted Creme was totally absent from them.
3) But the insertion holes, where the creme should have been pumped through and into the cake(s), were visibly there.
My family and I are usually quite satisfied with you snack products and have rarely seen any quality issues in any of them.
I do not know if this was just a "one time" problem or if it occurs frequently, but we felt you should be made aware.
As per the direction on the packages - we have sent you (under separate cover) 2 empty packages, the UPC label and a date stamp from the box. Hopefully this will assist you to resolve the problem.

Please pass on to your research department the following opinion.
Millbrook Home Style white bread is packaged in red, white and blue cellophane. The blue allows just enough light through that upon inspection the bread looks moldy. Seriously, I do not know how many loaves I've tossed in the garbage and sworn I'd never buy that brand name again.
Ford Motor Company manufactured automobiles in Michigan and they would rust pre-maturely. My nephew told me that prior to the paint they were sprayed with just the opposite of an anit-corrosion chemical called by the factory workers as "rust starter". For quite a while I believed that the Millbrook Home Style white bread must have had "mold starter". The bread would appear to mold within just a few days of being left on the kitchen counter. It was shameful! The only reason I continued buying it was because my wife enjoyed it. One day recently I opened the plastic around the loaf and noticed that when the light passed through the blue, it appeared to be mold on the bread. I realized then that I threw away a lot of loaves of bread pre-maturely. Not to say that the bread doesn't mold because it does. My suggestion is to change the color of the wrapper and you'll probably increase and retain market share. |

Comment: In order for the company to become profitable I believe the following needs to happen.
1. Stop producing private label bread.
I constantly here that we do not make money on these products. Although this product allows us to gain shelf space it also decreases the profit margin. With out private label bread more bakeries could reduce work hours or even close, resulting in saved money.
2. Stop giving away products to institutions. (Schools, Jails, etc)
Bidding $.65 on a loaf of bread in order to gain business is nothing short of Suicide. In fact i belive we are in chapter 11 because of stupidity like this.
I believe if we start a trend of not giving product away other companys will follow.
3. Stop plusing product so some management person can win a bonus.
If you cant sell it you shouldnt have to put it out! (Stuffing, Cookies, & Stuffing)
4. Concentrate on a quality product.
Although our mission statement suggests we do this, WE DO NOT!!
Our product is stale most of the time before it hits the market. This is unacceptable.
Quality product !!
Just a few of my thoughts
Have a Holsum Day!! |

Reply to "Tom"
It is all IBC bullshit, smoke and mirrors. Two top IBC officers took office recently based upon their bankruptcy credentials! What does this tell you? Think of an auto mechanic attempting to perform brain surgery in a non-medical facility (like your kitchen sink)! When the $200 million is gone, these two guys will be gone too! They are here for the money! IBC will sell off quick or close their doors (employees cannot work for nothing) IBC creditors (vendors for the most part) will not continue to furnish IBC with raw materials on a credit basis. It has to be C.O.D. or nothing. |

Why are guys sitting here whining instead of looking for a new job?
If you all fear that the end is near for this company, WHY NOT LEAVE NOW????
There is more to life than IBC!
I am sure some of you can find a better job and a company that cares for their employees unlike IBC!!!!
If you are THAT concerned about the direction of this company, do not give them ANY MORE of your time.
Good Luck!!! :D :D |

Comment: Do the non-union employees remember that we already sacificed back in the 1980 when IBC raided our pension fund and took 40 mil? Now they are hitting us again in our pension fund and medical. How many times do we have to sacifice? Make sure Tony Alvarez knows that we already gave at the office. |

IBc is reported to now have a new company newsletter entitled, On the Rise. Employee reports concerning this publication view it as a means of company-issued propaganda. One employee commented it should be renamed, The IBC Dildo! With a feature section named, Learn How to Bend Over! Hitler attempted to convice the world that he was going to save it by eliminating jews. IBC is now attempting to convice the world that they are going to save it by lining their pockets with our money and reducing America to slave labor. |

The only American companies in greater financial turmoil today than IBC, appears to be in our Airlines. Ninety per-cent of them are absolutely living-in-bankruptcy! How do you make a business career based upon federal bankruptcy laws? Well, we can look to IBC's current officer, Chief Executioner Tony Alvarez, for guidance on this subject! He and his company are the noted experts in this field of surigical expertise. The business plan he was hired to develop and execute is where all the corporate levels of past greed, graft and corruption is administratively hidden, then disposed of in a clandestine manner, never to return again. The corporate purpose served here is to keep the perpetrators out of the public eye and thereby also out of jail. Next served is the level of IBC's current debt load. Bankruptcy allows one to eliminate their outstanding debts. Next served is their current load of labor costs. Bankruptcy allows one to eliminate their employee pension plans, health and welfare plans, and reduction of all wage earners levels of income. Following all of this, we see Alvarez and his band of merry guys and gals riding off into the sunset and to their next free meal bought and paid for by you and me! |

Comment: This is really an interesting example of how humans behave when threatened with possible change due to the potential failure of their beloved employer. I was fortunate enough to have another trade to return to and improve my life and income tremendously. I think that working for the bakery in these times of uncertainty would result in the same effect....I would leave for a more secure and less stressful environment. I think working at the bakery right now would really SUCK.....I can't tell the future....but I hope the 1.8 Million salary for Alverez and the 1.2 Million for Suckow comes from the FARMERS FEED FUND not gonna happen |

Comment: Lawyers for bankrupt Interstate Bakeries Corp. want the public barred from a court hearing that may reveal whether the company is "hopelessly insolvent."
It's a question that could determine whether a group of outside stockholders becomes recognized as an official committee in Interstate's Chapter 11 proceedings in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Kansas City.
In filings seeking the stockholders' official recognition, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the stockholders argued that the debtor company not only is solvent, but apparently had more than $300 million in equity value in May that an official committee could try to protect during the bankruptcy.
But Interstate recently has taken the position that "due to stale financial information, it is not known whether there is in fact equity in the company," SEC lawyer Sonia Chae argued in a brief filed Tuesday.
"If that is the case, then shareholders are entitled to an explanation of what, if anything, has happened to over $300 million in value during the last 16 months and, moreover, are entitled to an official committee who can make that determination on behalf of shareholders," Chae's brief said.
Outside shareholders typically are excluded from bankruptcy proceedings, which are designed to allow creditors to recoup some percentage of money or property owed them. But bankruptcy law allows judges to permit outside shareholders into a case, particularly when the debtor appears to have equity holdings rivaling the size of its debts.
Uncertainty remains about Interstate's financial condition because the company has failed to file audited financial statements with the SEC since the May 30 end of its fiscal year. Interstate has blamed new computers and software it recently installed to more quickly collect financial data from its far-flung enterprise of bakeries, stores and truck fleets.
Judge Jerry Venters has scheduled a hearing for Nov. 23 to review undisclosed financial data from the company to determine whether the bankruptcy case meets legal standards for the appointment of an official committee of shareholders.
On Monday, he'll hear arguments on whether to close the Nov. 23 hearing to the public.
In a motion seeking closure of the hearing and a court seal on financial documents used in the hearing, Interstate attorney Eric Ivester of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP wrote that the company's competitors could access sensitive internal information from the hearing or the documents.
He also argued that disclosure of the company's financial standing in court could put many smaller shareholders at a disadvantage because the shareholders seeking to intervene could quickly make buy-and-sell decisions on their Interstate holdings before other shareholders learn details of Interstate's financial condition.
The stockholders' committee consists of nine institutions that reportedly hold about 50 percent of Interstate's common stock.
"The debtors expect substantial confusion to result if incomplete, preliminary information is selectively disclosed to the public in the context of this contested matter," Ivester argued. "The debtors believe that selective disclosure of such information is unfair to the general investing public and, indeed, may be misleading, especially in light of what is hopefully the imminent disclosure of complete information similar to that which the investing public typically expects."
Interstate could begin releasing monthly financial reports on Nov. 30, Ivester said in his motion, though he added that "the debtors currently are unable to predict with certainty when they will be able to provide their detailed historical financial results for various reasons."
As of Thursday, the SEC hadn't filed arguments on whether it supports opening Monday's court hearing to the public.

Have you seen the latest BK news report to break on IBC? It seems their latest assault upon their poor shareholders, employees and consumers is for a license to steal even more from them in hiding corporate assests and a protective shield to hide them from the public. It seems that, since May-2004 IBC has been lying about their level of debt. IBC blames this shortcoming on their "new computers and software." They are foretelling that these new accounting systems are not able to add 2+2=5! They are asserting that 2+2=2! Stay informed and stay tuned. We all need to know what the BK judge in this matter (Judge Jerry Venters) will do and decree. Let's see if he went to the same schools and took the same math courses we did or if he went to school with IBC attorneys who are corporate whores! |

I recently had a problem with your HOSTESS FRUIT PIES. I gave one to my son, he was very much looking forward to it, and when he bit into it, it was EMPTY. Imagine, and EMPTY crust shell, with no FILLING! I do feel this shines a bright light on the standards of quality control there. I truly mean this shell was EMPTY .. not a drop, drip, or spot of blueberry filling was present.
I have emailed your company, and sent pictures along, if that doesn't get someone's attention, then I DO have the empty pie shell still as proof that this indeed happened.
I once had faith in the Hostess name as well as Dolly Madison and Wonder as well as your other company names. |

You being negative is not going to help the company. Do you stay because you realise that with your second grade education you will not be making what you are making now. Shape up or ship out.
We don't need pussys working for our company. If its so bad, leave! But with that attitude you won't last anywhere, and with no education you'll have to go to Walmart. |

Chicago, if you will remember, is the city where politicians and policemen were exposed as corrupt and born killers. It is also a place where "dead people" voted in each and every tightly run race for office. Hoffa fits in just fine in Chicago. All he has to worry about is the federal run International Review Board in Washington and what they will do and say. |

Comment: The comment from louisiana was partly a lie.
Steve Cooper would never allow any salesman to set up his barbaque pit. Duties of this difficulty requre management leadership.
Your second lies is saying that the big screen tv was bought to tailgate at LSU and Saints games. Thats totaly absurd....................why would 1 loser want to go and watch another loser? (Saints)
Saints tailgating never happened.
O yea the tv was bought and many thousands of dollars were wasted at the companys expense. Salesman did get paid pull ups to hold the tailgating spots, Management was directed to setup the bbq pit, ice the beer, and all the other pre tailgating duties.
These offenses are only the tip of the iceberg for Mr. Cooper.Thank goodness he is profitable so he can hide his indescrections.
Mr. Cooper needs to own stock in Outbacks since he filters so many of our companys funds to them.
Shall we mention the hookers?

What has happened to your product, Wonderbread,I have been eating this bread
for years and have always found it wholesome and fresh and of the best
taste,of any bread bar none. I now find the bread very coarse and does not
stay as fresh,as before, I find the bread distributed by Snyder bread, and
find it tastes the same as Snyders and retains its freshness as long about
two days.
Has this product changed its formula , I will miss this
bread, because I can buy the other bread anyplace else and have the same
taste and freshness, but nothing replaces WONDERBREAD! |

I recently purchased a loaf of Wonder Light Italian bread. I generally use this bread because of the amount of fiber in each serving.
I opened the most recent loaf today for my lunch, only to find that virtually every slice had a long, grey streak through it. I don't know what this would be from unless the bread dough fell onto the floor prior to baking! It may be nothing at all, but is very unappetizing, to say the least.
I just wanted to report the "flaw". I ended up throwing the entire loaf in the garbage since I wasn't sure what the streaks were.
Thank you for listening. |

I purchased two boxes of donettes this morning to bring to work, one powdered and one crumb. The expiration dates
are Nov.18 and Nov.19 . The crumb donettes taste alright,
but are a little dry and the donettes nearest the edge of the box are lighter colored than the rest. The box of powdered
taste kind of stale.
I have never had anything from hostess like this before. We
have Mrs.Freshleys in our vending machines here, but we
don't like them. I thought this was unusual and felt you
should be made aware of it.

I was very disappointed this time with my Ring Dings. Two days in a row I purchased some out of the vending machine at work and found there was no cream in the middle. They were just the cake with the chocolate frosting on them. Have you changed the way you are making them?

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A PACKAGE OF RING DINGS AND TO MY SURPRISE THERE WAS NO CREAM INSIDE EITHER CAKE. I HAVE THE PACKAGE, AND WAS COMPELLED TO CONTACT YOU. I HAVE BEEN AN AVID FAN OF DRAKE'S CAKES MY WHOLE LIFE AND WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. THE PACKAGE WAS PURCHASED FROM A "COFFEE TRUCK" DURING MY BREAK AT WORK, OBVIOUSLY THERE WAS NO RECOURSE THERE. |

Have you noticed the way IBC does business in America? IBC first fills our dumpsters with their stale--half-baked goods, fills our courts dockets with employee-stock holder lawsuits, fills their pockets with our money, fills their ledger sheets with outstanding amounts of credit, then files for bankruptcy and leaves what's left for their stock holders and employees to bear? And let us not forget to list their alleged co-conspirators. Namely, their banking--lending institutions and labor unions! |

Comment:
Sometimes one has to take the Bull by the horns and deliver the absolute truth regarding whatever to their fellow human beings. In this case, I believe the truth is IBC has gone broke! Corporate Greed! In practice, Corruption! The smell of death is on IBC due to their losses in several insider trading scandals, several class action lawsuits based upon unlawful race and sex discrimination, and nobody at the helm. With a reported 80% of their workforce unionized (28000), it is difficult to understand how some of these lawsuits ever made it to court. The only knowledge which provides this is most if not all unions are corrupt, as well. I feel certain most if not all unionized employees who sued IBC, first made these unlawful acts known to their unions. Unions therefore protect Employers, hence the need for employee and stockholder lawsuits! Get your understanding of the world around you correct. Continue to save your time and resources by getting it right, every time! I believe that IBC is corrupt and every labor union therein is also corrupt. As an IBC employee how then can I continue to live and perform my work with these facts? Welcome to America my friends! Just say no where you can and live your life to the greatest extent possible, without needing to believe in all the bullshit! |

Routes will be eliminated. The only routes that will be left are mom and pop stores.

I highly doubt union employees will be treated the same, since they have their union contracts to save them.
More than likely, changes will happen once their union contracts run out.
On the other hand, who knows, they all will probably scream strike if bad changes are made to their precious contracts.

Comment: I will do what is needed to maintain my job but I do wonder why there is 30% more management than when I started 26 yrs ago. They were supposed to eliminate 4 supervisors here but they just shuffled them and created new titles for them. We have so much management, they have a hard time finding things to do. We used to have one sales manager in the detroit market, now we have two and they dont speak to each other, makes for a real nasty work enviroment. Ive been here 26 yrs and run more dollars very year, I dont need 3 people looking over my shoulder if I am doing the job as they want it done. |

They cut 69 routes and now without the whiners and complainers, they are all making good money and it is one of the most profitable bakeries we have. You people need to be aware that if you complain instead of sell, you will be the next on the chopping block. Billings is TOAST! Pomona is in great danger with lower than needed route av erages and union problems. Wake-Up people and just do your jobs. |

Comment: To the person who claims they were hired to Push and Instruct the help because as you stated we are idiots and lazy etc. Make the best of it because you are not going to get qualified people to work in a hostile work place like you management has created. You yourself could never get another job as a supervisor because you have no education yourself and was hired for one of 2 reasons. One you were related to someone or two no one else would take the job so management hires anyone to fill the position. Thats a fact. So stick this bit of information up were the sun never shines. |

Tell me how the company can just stop paying are health insurance? They give NO notice or alternatives in Health Care. What is the Company doing? It's Pretty SAD the way this Company is being run. Again Produce Product that sells NOT the Product that sit to fill the shelf. To the Company(INTERSTATE BRANDS) Try listening to your Route Drivers. First instead of spending Thousands of dollars on Consultants. The Drivers spend the time on the market and talking to the consumers. They listen to what the consumer wants. |

Comment: first of all I want to say, to all you people bitching about your union. It sounds like the wrong people are representing you, teamsters local 264, you rock! now if you're really interested in the biggest waste, lets look at the bakery outlets. how can you sell a loaf of giant bread for 70 cents, pay a lead clerk $12 an hour and still make a profit. That doesn't include transporting it to the outlet or the rent and utilities. then there is our wonderful shipping department. They are constantly overshipping. Then they wonder "where did it go", or the classic answer when we get shorted product, "well we shipped it". do you people think we have nothing better to do at 4am than to call and harrass you. get a life, learn how to read and count. 10 = all the digits on both hands. |

Comment: here in the northeast management has taken a 5%reduction in pay and some have lost their company vehicles. our union has beeen in constant contact with our workforce and no changes are coming to our contract. plant closings, management reductions, all the way down to route changes are being implimented to make the company profitable again. whining in this message board appears to be from lack of education or insight or reality. just think of where we would be without union representation. guess some feel better off with management running routes, or working inside plants while we would be collecting. get involved, use the union to provide answers, and if they are not to your liking make them give you the reasons. good luck all ,we are in this together for the long haul |

I live in York Haven, Pennsylvania and I love your orange cupcakes, but they are not available in my area, not even Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I have found them in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Is there anyway that I can order boxes directly from someplace and have them delivered to my home or is there a store close to me that I can purchase them? |

Could you please let me know where I can find Wonder Bread in the Louisville area. Kroger carried it several months ago but has since discontinued. I then found it again at Kroger for about 1 week and it has now been discontinued again. This is the freshest bread going. My daughter and I cannot handle dry bread. |
