Just trying again, posted yesterday, but it didn't show up, is this site monitored????? HR in Henderson got it's second hit Tuesday. Shame she was a friend it was soooo retailitory. Other HR just couldn't handle the incompetence and hostile work environment. Other issues. Those guys are working their butts off, it's management that needs to learn they're not training dogs.

A comment to the response below: Hey you're right about that. The guy strolls in late, leaves early, takes a long lunch and spends all of his time on AOL, but he delegates well. He certainly deserves to be promoted. What a joke! Same old story, it's not what you know it's who you know. That's O.K. They're getting ready to lose all of their hard-working top performers because of it. One is gone Friday and soon many to follow. "I'm a former IBC employee, but now I am an Accenture employee. I thought things would get better. Nope, same old "boys club" type atmosphere. There's this Eddie guy, comes in late, plays around on the interenet all day, basically has minimal responsibilities and I'm pretty sure his boss is going to promote him. I tink they have some kind of history. Really makes his boss look bad and lose repsect from all other employees because everyone else knows what's been going how and how worthless he is. You know what they say, when the "Fox" is away everyone will play. Get it."

To: rsr in Oakland, It's actually illegal for the personal infomation that is printed on a paycheck to be seen by anyone other than the employee after the check has been processed. But as most know IBC doesn't give a shit about your personal infomation being seen by anyone. My thought is that they do it to either A. Save money on envelopes or B. Create problems between employees by allowing them to see what a person makes each week or C. They want to encourage Identiy theft by sharing Social Security numbers. Think about the risk IBC puts you in by allowing your checks to be seen by everyone. Your check has your name, your address, your ytd wages and the ever so important Social Security number.

/quote/ To all of you out there You need to get a life this is NOT a IBC web page so none of your comments get read by anyone but all the lossers that put them on here./quote/ And yet, YOU read this and You posted. And it is LOSERS not LOSSERS. Thanks, your post made me chuckle almost as much as the venerable Mr Clarckson. On another note, posting that if people do not like their wages, working conditions they should quit is just childish, this nationwide corporation which has a long track record of the grand stategy of "WHAT ARE TODAY'S NUMBERS?!! WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW IF THERE IS A TOMORROW THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!!!" again showed its failure to think long term by not registering the domain names this site operates under. Thus employees are free to post without fear of punitive action being taken upon them by management, and some of us excercise that right, while others (such as myself) check here every few days and get a laugh out of stupid, (or in your case) flagrant hipocracy in a post.

In my own words. The baking industry isn't what it used to be 10-20 years ago.We can complain about poor quality products, bad management,no overtime, too much overtime, days off, salesmen and route drivers. The fact is the baking industry is going down REAL HARD no matter what anyone says.So if you have 5 years or less to retire then stick it out.I see alot of bakeries closing in years to come, don't be stupid and think your job will be there for the next 20 years. IT WON'T but if your lucky it will but for a few dollars more then minimum wage. Example: you and your fellow empolyees just got a 30 day notice that your plant is going to close. What are YOU going to do?????

Hey Hostess in cailf, Did you notice Svenhards is back to work today? The deal was set up that svenhards was going to be drop shipment. Until the union stepped in. They are under a Collective Bargaining Agreement for 2 more years, Anyone who buys them has to honor that agreement. Therefore the deal is a no go.

You knew and accepted the wage when you agreed to show up for work. Granted the Company is now paying the price because of the high turnover at the Henderson plant. The Quality is terrible day in and day out! We try and sell this crap in So Cal and our sales are reflecting it!

Comment: I purchase Merita Lite Hot Dog Buns on a regular basis. I love the product. However, today I went to Wal-Mart to purchase them and they were out of them. I even asked the merchandiser that was working your products if they were any in the stock room. He replied "no, but we will have some later this week for sure". Unfortunately, that does not feed my family tonight. So I decided to try going to Publix, no luck there either. I also tried Bi-Lo and they didnt have any either. So 3 stores and still no buns, I went to Piggly Wiggly and finally was able to purchase them. When I arrived home I noticed the package was dated for June 26, 2004. I realize today (June 27.2004) is only 1 day later however, the freshness is not that great. Being that I was a Store Manager for a local grocery store for several years, I know that this product should have been pulled. I sincerely hope that this will not be a continuing problem in the Goose Creek, SC area. I hope that this letter is passed down the necessary chain of command in order to solve this problem.

Comment: June 25,2004: I too have both expired products recently, I purchased several boxes of "Ding Dongs" for my husband's lunch. After his complaining of them falling apart, I saw the box was dated "LA JUN 03 701312 $3.70." It seems that IBC is selling products which it should not be selling thus giving your products a bad reputation. I will no longer purchase these items. I also think that your company should share the responsibility for allowing expired products to be sold.

Well my SS number and 85 cents can get you a cup of coffe at the local McDonalds. Although I'd rather see you spend it at the local Hostess thrift store. While you're in there get a muffin or a donut to help out the carb business. Plant 51 like many other of the IBC clan is not without problems. Davenport Iowa, Cincy, Miami, who knows who will be next. After the strike hit a year ago and we all got the pay increases/medical benefits deserved to all union members Elsessor announced changes would have to be made. Heard this week the Bagel operation in Wisconsin was shut down. Has anyone else heard this??? Steve in Columbus

During our stary we needed to buy some bread and the only brand that we thought we would like in that store was the Blue Seal brand. We were not wrong. That is great bread. We normally use Wonder Bread whenever we can get it and this Blue Seal is every bit as good as Wonder Bread. I was wondering if it was made at a Wonder Bread plant with the Blue Seal wrapper put on it. Any way it is great bread and it is already 8 days old and is still as fresh as the day we bought it. Just thought you should know.

Comment: Last night while I stopped for gas ans I bought two packages of Hostess cup cakes. I always check the dates and they were dated JUN29. I must tell you the cup cakes were stale and the icing was hard as a rock. I have purchased fresher products at the Hostess store. There they sell products that will be out of date in a few days. I think IBC needs to check the products in the stores for freshness. I can't believe I paid .69 a package and got something that was too stale to eat. I must tell you I will never buy their products again. I just want you to know the quality or the Hostess cup cakes I bought was of very poor quality. I don't know where they come up with their "HOSTESS QUALITY PLEDGE".

Comment: I must inform you that upon arriving at work on 6/23/04 at around 8:00 a.m. and going into the lunch room and obtaining a packet of Hostess Crumb Donettes that I always eat, I was amazed to find after eating the first donette and grabbing the second one that running down the center of donette was what appeared to be a towelet that was green, light green and white. It absolutely sickens me that I may have consumed a piece of a dirty towelet while eating this product. I am at a lost at what to do. How does something like this get into a package that comes from one of their plants? I grew up on the Hostess brand and have eaten a number of their products without incident. Where was the Quality Control and how does a piece of a towelette in up in a package of donettes? I am asking for a response from someone who can answer this question. There were a number of my coworkers who were also standing around when I opened the package and have seen the towelet that was embedded in the donette. I wonder if they will or if their kids will ever eat IBC products again.

Comment: I purchased a box of coffee cakes from a local store. The expiration date is 6/30. however, the texture is like they have been expired for a while. I think the problem is that they are extremely browned on the bottom of the cake. It has made them very dry.

Like I said before the teamsters union local 190 is under VERY WEAK LEADERSHIP it appears that there will not be another union contract with Interstate Brands. The local knows this the Billings plant will be sold or closed .The teamsters union is weak from the top down they only care that the members pay their dues and keep thier mouth shut. Ray and his croines are only worried about them selves and cashing their big bloated paychecks and eating expensive meals at the expense of the rank and file .When was the last time a union officer came around to the job site and took an intrest in what the rank and file had to say.We pay their wages with our due money. They work for us we donot work for them they forgot who the rank and file are .Teamsters local 190 is worthless they do nothing for the rank and file it appears they are more intrested in have a cozy realtionship wiith the EMPLOYER then the members of the rank and file .Next time you have the union dues taken out of your check ask yourself if you are really getting any thing for your money.

Greetings From Plant 51 Columbus, Indiana Looks like I must have missed out on some fun... My phone is not ringing and the individuals that slander still don't have the nerve/balls to state their name are still writing in. Cowards turn and run, (or post false information) those willing to go forward always will. I've got better things to do than chat with the imature. There are many hard working IBC employees that care about their job and the product they produce. From the fork lift driver in receiving, to the mixer operator, or the wrapping person, a shipping order puller, sanitation, maintenance, drivers that deliver to the clerk in the thrift store. If you hate your job the product you produce go elsewhere. Otherwise stand up for change. Stand accountable for your remarks. I understand some people in Billings not wanting to state their name for fear of retribution. But to say everything we produce is junk and refusing to state your name is offensive. That is an insult to all the IBC union workers. Steve in Columbus

If Bimbo CA is union that doesn't mean the pay rate stays the same does it ? Look at Henderson NV $13.25 an hour SORRY that's if you have bakery experience $9.25 an hour. Why cause that's all our union could fight for. Wow!!! I heard people are kicking down the doors of Henderson. So if Bimbo buys out IBC what do you think will happen? Our union contract ends after the sale of the company and our pay rate will eventually change. Go BCTGM !! Joe M. What Up!!

Comment: You sound like a real bleeding heart company shill. I see you only partially read my post as I said ,read all the complaints from comsumers on the site and multiply it by a thousend for the one's that don't. If you would have read my post correctly,I said, it's the companys policy of ESL Extended Shelf Life for the people who don't know what ESL means. I never said anything about Union Workers. The Union Workers can only do what they are told to do,and only use the ingredients the company provides . So if the company wants the bread and rolls to stay on the market shelf for 7 days and the cake to stay 14 days or longer this is not the Union Workers fault. If your stupid enough to put your name on this site that's your problem. While your at it why don't you tell everyone your address and phone number. How about savings account and checking account numbers. I will tell you this, I have 35 years experience, you have none. Now go play with your wrench and leave the baked goods part of the business to the people who know what their talking about

Well, Watcher at least you can partly read. As I've stated, yes there are quality problems. You come on here basically saying that everything going out is crap. That to me is an insult against the union workers that produce, package and ship our product. This product is what makes our paycheck. You come on here telling a consumer we have nothing worth buying. We have over 400 employees in our plant. Some have the attitude of screw it they're only donuts. But the vast majority of union workers care about their job and what they do. It at times is not glorious, but it is better than pumping gas or stuffing shells at Taco Bell and we have decent health insurance. If you have gripes & complaints with managers put them out here. I'd like to hear it. To attack the union workers that produce the product makes you nothing better than scab labor. Drop the mast if you dare Watcher. State your name & plant. Stand up for your comments or stand down and retreat. That's all I have to say to a coward. Steve Clarkson IBC plant 51

I have been an employee of IBC for four years now. I have only one complaint, but is is a big one. PAYROLL!! I work hard for this company so that when I go on vacation I can relax and enjoy myself. At least three times in the last four years I have had to leave for vacation without my vacation check. This week I was not able to do what I had been planning be cause my vacation check was not issued. So I am sitting at home with nothing to do but complain to this website. Two years ago I worked Christmas and Newyears days as a favour due to a shortage of personel. It took 3 grievences and 7 weeks to finally get paid for my overtime. About 30% of my paychecks have a mistake on them, so I don't get the money I worked so hard for until 2-3 weeks have passed. When I think of our Payroll department I picture an overworked feebleminded old person with an abacus.

I want you to count how many times consumers come on this site and complain about IBC products and multiply that a thousend times over for the consumers that don't , and tell me again how this company is going in the right direction ,because if you get too many complaints you will run out of customers. Where do you come off that it takes stones to come on here and respond to you, who the hell are you little man. I work for IBC and I'm complaining about the product and ESL ,consumers come on here and they complain about the product. So by calling me an idiot for doing so ,you're also calling IBC customers idiots. So that makes you the biggest IDIOT of them all. LACKY

Well what do you know, IBC Watcher finally got the nerve to answer back. Well, to that the individual deserves some form of credit. But the credit is taken back due to the lack of respect to IBC workers everywhere. To tell the general public on a bulletin board of this nature that IBC is out to screw you is a farce. They might be out to screw us the union workers, but if too many customers get screwed you're out business. Not once have I ever stated that every loaf of bread, box of donuts of bag of mini-crullers going out the door is perfect. Problems abound with the new ESL program. If you only had a brain.... You would be able to rationally understand supply/demand. Not to mention the fact that more people complain than praise. You probably never finished high school. Why I'd be willing to bet you still like being bounced on your uncle's knee. Gee what kind of lolly pop do you suck on??? As it is I'd say you know little about the inside of a union bakery. Sanitation cleans toilets. Go flush yourself. Steve plant 51 IBC Watcher still has not stated if he/she is a present or past employee of IBC. In any case the individual sure doesn't posess the mental capacity to do anything but make idle threats and snied remarks.

Comment: I bought a loaf of Home Pride White Bread at my market and when I opened it it had black spots on the bottom of the loaf. The black spots came off easily; the bread was not old (dated 6/25) so I kept looking and midloaf four pieces had a corner of wheat bread inserted (baked in, not pieced in) and then the black spots continued down the extent of the loaf. I just thought it was interesting. Except for those "insert" pieces (the wheat bread part of pretty hard), I'm sure the rest is OK. I could send those 4 pieces to you but by the time it was opened I'm sure the bread would be moldy.

question for the experts--when the millbrook routes get cut and a routeman with 10 years gets bumped to vacation relief, will he be able to cross union lines to bump a junior route driver with only 3 years with the company,if not this is a major law suit,in this case union lines should not be used...

Hello to ALL IBC Employees We need everyone to write in what is going on at your plant. Not necessary to state your name. Let everyone in the company know if your contract is about up. Rumors can scare more than help. What is really going on??? Billings so I understand is about to have it's contract come up, is that so? Lot's of questions from transport people in California. I've seen notes from individuals in Cincy and Iowa concerned for their jobs... Here in Columbus, Indiana we also question the future. No one knows for sure where Program SOAR's axe will fall. I wrote before asking what was going on in Denver. Food Eng'r magazine said IBC had a new facility expansion going on in Spring 2003 Now is the time for all of us to send in FACTUAL info. White Bear BIMBO or who ever you are can go pimp yourself. bimbo corp is in financial trouble. Saralee just shut down some of their offshore womens apparel shops. Per CBS money watch it will give them a major cash flow in 45 days... Think about that. Flowers is saying they will start on a new facility every 18 months for the next 5 years. We all need to know what is going on where. Steve in Columbus, Indiana

I have been with IBC a year now. There are good points to it and bad points. Yes Deb and Randy can be difficult at times, but as I am watched by them , so are they by someone over them. I make a decent wage for whats asked of me. Do I want more , of course I do. Do I think the company is falling apart, in alot of areas , yes I do. What as drivers can we do , only our jobs. I will be the first to say I dont think Randy is right for this job. Not many of us drivers like him or even have respect for him. If the company does go out of buisness , I am guaranteed work across the U.S. . How many other people that work for IBC, aside from transportation , can drive down the street and go to work for another company. In the same field of work they performed for IBC. I have been with major companies that have went out of buisness. We are seeing the first steps of it now for our plant. Lack of confidence and people not showing up for work will cripple us. Things to think about.

Well we are finally getting people to put names up . It's about time. By requsting someone to post a photo is saying that you fear an individual may not be using their real name. If I were slamming people and product as many on here are doing it would be great challenge in such a way. OK, fine in some cases we've had some bad management. Happens in every company. But to get an IDIOT like good ol' "IBC WATCHER" make a stupid remark about our product which if you do not remember makes out paycheck . No one has heard me stand up for any particular white hat. At our plant we've got some that waste perfectly good breathable air. You will not see me giving cheers to the board of directors. We all know what has happened there. Makes Martha Stewart look like a kid in a candy store putting jelly beans in her pocket. I've seen you post your name on here before Tom, good to see someone else not afraid to post a real name. Why would suggest that I am a liar by asking me to post a photo. Besides I'm not sure it could be done on here or you yourself would already have posted your own photo. Am I right???   Comment: I purchased a loaf of Wonder Italian Seeded Bread , 20 oz, barcode 45000 11660 at my local Waldbaums the other day. I finished my last loaf yesterday. When I opened the package and pulled out a few slices to make lunch for my kids I noticed that there was a brown marbling or swirl in the bread that I expect to be white. In the zillion loafs I have bought in my lifetime of any wonder bread this has never happened. Waldbaums does not care.and refused to exchange it.

Greetings to Anonymous in the mighty KC and IB Free in Billings Big Sky I'm not sitting here standing up for the people with their names on our checks. Like I said some of them have the anal/cranal inversion thing going. What I have a problem with is an IDIOT like "IBC WATCHER" writing in and slamming our product and then not having the balls to sign their real name to it. To Billings, no I do not know what it is like to deal with your management. May be very much different than what we have here. To the might KC you sure don't know much about me. I've done my share of pissing off the managers. There you have it . Oh, I guess you two are afraid to list your real names like so many others. Steve in Indiana plant 51

I admire you Steve for having guts to put it back to the whiners and complainers who probably don't do the job they accept the pay for each week. I'm not sure what goes on in Billings, but they all still have jobs that pay quite a b it more than they could earn elsewhere or they would have bailed out a long time ago. Just a bunch of sissy's that don't have a life....I have noticed they don't rank on Deb or Randy anymore?

In response to "IBC Watcher" What makes you an expert on IBC products or the company itself??? IBC thrift store are stacked on top of each other just like our bake shops. When IBC bought/merged with CBG They did not close anything down. Now everyhere you've got a Walmart cutting prices on everthing. The whole concept of a Thrift store is to save money. (hence the name thrift) You can now buy you toilet paper shoes, bread and gas all in the same place. People no longer go to grocery store, then a gas station, followed by a pharmacy. Thrift store are almost a thing of the past. Yes, there have been problems at hand in the whole extended shelf life deal. Then again Edison's light bulb work perfect at first? Bell's phone? What about the the Model T. You sound like on of the typical lazy shop workers that will not get off your duff to save your own job. Probably the only thing that has kept you as a IBC employee (if you are one) is the union. Crack pots like you seldom keep a job in real life. Typical of people to complain about any product. Seldom do people write accolades about a thing in life as simple as a loaf of bread or a twinkie. Do you compliment the girl /guy at the bank or gas station? Should you be an IBC worker start doing *YOUR* job as we ALL should be doing and our company is better off. If you are not an IBC employee you do not know what it is like to stand for 8-12 hours a day in heat and humidity in a REAL bakery. Sweat running down your back. Working over the top of a 375 degree fryer bigger than your car or crawling inside of a 400 degree oven to put a rack back on that's jammed. Shoving racks of product around trying to get the right trays of product for your quota. Trying to wash down a conveyor and clean up in less time than usual because production is coming in 3 hours early. Stacking cake product in front of you coming faster that you can possibly count. All the while trying to watch for a pie or cookie that doesn't look quite right? Can you look at a Hostess pie and tell if it has filling inside with out breaking it open? When they come at you at the rate of 100 per minute? No, IBC is not perfect. Yes it does seem at times our management has cranal/anal inversion. Then again there has only been one perfect Person to walk on earth. He died for us in a most horrible way. I appreciate His work. If you are an IBC employee, start doing your job. If not grow up. Steve Clarkson maintence mechanic Plant 51 Columbus Indiana If you dare put your reaking name out so we can all know who you are!

Comment: To all you consumers out there. Welcome to the world of IBC screw the consumer hot line. If you are getting stale and moldy product it's because of the system IBC has in place. It's called E.S.L. "extended shelf life" If you purchased a loaf of bread or rolls they could be at least a week old, if it is a cake item it could be at least 2 weeks old. That's why they are closing thrift stores, any product that is picked up past it's pull date cannot be sold in the thrift store, it is way to old.

Comment: I recently purchased 4 seperate loaves of bread. I put my bread in the refrigerator in hot weather by the way. After eating a few sandwiches or making toast someone has found MOLD in these packages of bread. 2 were butternut wheat 2 have been home style wheat. I am going to go back to purchasing Sara Lee bread as I have not had a problem with their bread in the past. I normally purchase the butternut honey wheat bread and the split top wheat bread but think it is pretty strange how 3 different styles of bread can all have mold. In my mind that can not be a bad batch.

The Last Sale Date shows the following information: 5A07 155 July 02 The only other stamp is MP 4-04 that shows up directly under the barcode. Can you please tell me if this is a mistake that a product with such an old "Last Sale Date" would be available for sale, or is there by some chance that it is marked wrong. I've been on the west coast now for about 22 year's and have been without my Devil Dog's for too long now. Every time I make a trip out the east coast, I stock up on my favorite goodies and place them in the freezer as soon as I get home. Just curious, is there any prospects of getting Drake's in Seattle?

kafoure sent out e-mails to all pc's, put the original orders of bakers inn back on. i knew he was not well adjusted but this surely takes the cake. bake it, take it out, bring it back and toss it out. we need joe signore back, these ibc misfits have been in the midwest to long. so you wasted 4 million dollars for packaging equipment to put the crappy loaf of bread in a paper bag, that is almost worse that changing the drake formula in a market of 75 million people. the packaging that bill mackin purchased for that dilly is still sitting in wayne. now remember this is the guy that is putting those grease layden donut holes in boxes and introducing them as a new product. bob you have a great crew, fisher who is 100% useless and mackin who is clueless? i know your excuse is your from dolly!!!

Billings Management---We are in trouble because of employees like you have that are not sales people, but complainers. You people ned to get a life and start selling. When the jobs became available all the complainers raised their hands. Put your hands down Billings and go away. Your attitudes will sink this company. The good thing would be to get away from IBC and Wonder and Hostess would be profitable again.

To Solve IBC's problems are very simple. #1 TAKE OUT WHAT SELLS #2 STOP THE PLUSES #3 GET RID OF USELESS MANAGEMENT (50% at least) #4 GET RID OF ALL BONUS CHECKS FOR TOP LEVEL SALES MANAGERS #5 LET THE BAKERS BAKE, AND THE SALES REPS SELL. LETS US DO OUR JOB, AND STOP TRYING TO DO IT FOR US WITH STALE!!!!!!!!!!!

In answer to many questions about how many routes that will be cut---Every Division Mgr. will have at least 10 routes--Each route will average at least $6,500 per week. This will be the standard that will have to be met period. If you don't run $6,500 LOOK OUT, HERE IT COMES!!!!

Comment: Today, after two years of business Meritas' Sales Division Manager come into my restaurant and says I have to pay for my bread everyday or find some other company to buy from. After asking why and getting from the manager no responce I'm with two restaurants with no bread supplier. I called the office in B'ham, Al to be told that i'm still set up on pay each Saturday. The only problem that i've had with Merita is the route driver for my location came by twice smelling of alchol and I told him not to jepadize my business with his carefreeness. I guess being a black man talking to a white man he goes back to his boss with less than the truth and his boss makes the decision to cancel my business weekly credit line. With these actions i seriously feel that Merita is trying to cripple my businesses not giving thought that this is the way i feed my family. If theres any help out their please help me and don't let this bunch at Merita {Gadsden location} set us back 100 years with this Jim Crowe act. Merita has a driver that drinks on the job and he's not going to fall in my business and have my family and myself homeless.

[what a liability]

Comment: I just had a terrible experience while eating the second donut gem out of a 6 count pack and got this awful glob of hair in my mouth!!!!!!!!!! It was several strands of hair clumped together and covered in the white covering as is the donut. Needless to say I threw the remainder in the trash. This may not bother some people but I happen to have a very weak stomach and did not appreciate the experience. It would appear that someone was not wearing the proper hair netting or whatever your company requires! I enjoy the donuts but will pass them by the next time I am shopping because of this incident. I will opt for the higher priced version (if I even get nerve to try them). Thanks for listening.

My son has been eating them for a snack every other night, and on Mondy night He had one where the Icing on the top was a dark dark brown and it had mold on it. I had him throw it away and spit out what he had put into his mouth. My question is what is the shelf life of these bakery items. I have never had these have mold on them. My son is now afraid to eat them now because he's afraid he might get sick.

Hey guys,I've been a routeman 20+ years and the writing is on the wall. All SOAR is going to do is slow the bleeding not stop it. Eventually this Co. will be sold in pieces or it will just go out of business. No company can continue to lose this kind of money and stay in business. Why do you think nobody has stepped up to buy this Co. The current people running IBC have no future plans for the Co. Look around your work place, old trucks, old equipment. Does this look like a Company that is looking towards it's future? This is a pretty sad state of affairs but it's the truth.

Of the 240 hot dog buns, 73--a little more than 30%--were not cut. This manufacturing flaw slowed down food service to the families and swimmers and created inefficiency during a feeding frenzy.

Well I just want to say that I am an employee, have been a reader of this site, and have to this point resisted making a post. While many of the posts are negative and have merit, I believe most are from people who care. I can attest that IBC has a lot of top notch employees from the bottom to the top and have witnessed people of all levels applying their skills to the best of their ability. This would include production, executive, sales, soar, office staffs, accenture, and anyone else I did not include. Any large entity, be it a country, business, team, organization....etc must balance the concerns coming from the smallest componets (micro), to the whole (macro). Information and direction should be conveyed both upward and downward. The choices that the organization makes should consider all of these variables. The problem is that there are a lot of variables that cannot be predicted and many are beyond our control. If there is any advice I can give, I would just try to tell everyone to do their best and what is right. There is nothing wrong with that.

to redeem your IBC dough cut and paste this into your browser: www.ibcdough.com You will see a picture of a woman giving a cheer, at the program box type the word unlock. From their you will need to register a new account and then you can go on and redeem your dough, I recieved my third period bonus bucks 2 weeks ago and picked my gift cards out of my mailbox last Saturday, thus the turn around rate is approx 5 to 10 days.

I had one and there was a little white spot, I guess you can call it creme, inside the ding dong. Stop being cheap on the creme or lower the price or maybe you should take off all the creme on the picture on the box and put a small white dot.

The term Seniority rises out of a collective bargaining agreement between an employer and a labor organization. It is a job benefit applied equally to all employees who work under it. Each Agreement can cover several different and distinct groups of employers, unions and employees, each located at different work locations. Each location can have a different seniority list. There are many layers to seniority. You can have a different date of seniorty for vacations, department, division, transfer, promotion, and lay-off purposes. This depends entirely on how seniority comes to be and is defined and applied and what particular door (new hire or transfer) you used to enter your workplace. When seniority is correctly applied it is eventually accepted and helps establish order. When it is not applied correctly, it can be a fatal error for the employer and the union and all the employees. It then becomes a perpetual bone-of- contention and serves to destroy profits. Think of seniority as a form of religion. You better get it right the first time if you seek world-wide peace!

Follow up on the comment made by BIddford, the cover up has just begun. For years ,they have saving up future expenses in various accounts as accruals.and then use them to cover up unathorized and non company related expenses like Buddy fishing trips and balls games.Don't you think the company auditors would have caught them . OH no, when if the lead auditor is one of the members of the "Buddy Gang".whom we know now headed the company 's soar program. We all know Sales improvement is needed in order for the company to succeed. Why then they spent millions on Soars which basically has little to do with sales. All those money spent on SAP (a german owned company) would have better serve our economy by investing on US base company like Microsoft. Outsourcing does not help the company profit outlook unless you can improve your sales on all varieties. The hiring and interviewing process was a joke. After so many months of careful selection, they still end up with the same management buddies leading the PC centers. Where can we go from here????NO Way but down. Wake up,IBC employees and share holders . Together we can raise our voices on the next stock holgers meeting and let them know how you feel about the company leadership.

the worst is yet to come: the bakery managers have been hiding profits and loses for years, but this year the books come clean. it's been in hide in accurals, age trail balances or just charged to various accounts. vp's let this happen and in fact they were a large part of it. the reason ibc is having this bad year is because the money that was hiden has to come forward now. the bakery managers who are the biggest crooks all got jobs. if the scc every just took at look at the sales levels vs the profit for the last 2 years the jails would be full. now that bakers inn is a failure what next will the brain trust come up with. the bread is burned, crushed, small and comes torn on racks. it come short coded or overcode. and in a brown paper bag... thrift outlets are losing more money than ever and now we have a mixture of either stale or fresh. the incumbents don't have to bid and all are rewared with retro raises from feb 04. the shareholders have not a clue, but s.oa.r. is a total failure and things are worse now that ever. who in their right mind ever put sales last for a project that needed immediate results. bob the dolly guy along with mike clueless in kansas is backed up with big jimmy the ralston bean counter who spearheaded the cbc/ibc deal. mackenzie didn't work, l.i.f.t. didn't work and s.o.a.r. is curtainly the worst of the 3. i hope the 50 million was really well spent because after all is said and done ibc is in worse shape than ever.

Article 13 seniority Section2 B. When brands are transferred from one plant management to another and a sales rep is scheduled to be laid off as a result of such transfer, that rep shall displace the junior rep in his plant mngement. If an opening does not exist within his plant mngemnt, and there is an employee junior in seniority within the jurisdiction of the plant mngemnt which receives the transferred brands, then he may displace the junior employee at that location and his seniority shall be merged into the seniority list at the new location. This is from the Union contact page 7 sounds like they can bump wonder or hostess drivers to me...what do you think??

The Facts About The Millbrook Route Cuts: Company wants to dovetail all Hostess, Wonder, Millbrook drivers. Then when ANY route is cut, common seniority would prevail between all 3 bakeries. The UNION will not allow this. It is the UNION stopping this from happening. Talk to your UNION, this time, the Company is trying to do the right thing and the UNION will not allow the dovetailing. The people at Millbrook will be getting the short end of the stick, but it is the UNION'S fault !

It would at least cause some havoc for those people that are causing the rank and file grief. You think?

Comment: the customer service at the 168 Street "Jamaica" store is horrible. Your company does not train their employees to be respectful to customers. Haven't been an on going customer for over 10 years, I expect much more from your company. For instance, do not put the money on the counter. It is considered to be very rude and offensive. Also, all items should be doubled bagged. I shouldn't have to tell you every time to do this simple percedure. This will save time and will prevent confortation.

TO THE SOUTHERN CAL MILLBROOK DRIVERS: Here is how merger of Wonder and Bunny bread routes here; IBC mgmt. SAID they wanted to dovetail. Teamsters said to dovetail the number of drivers to how much business Bunny routes brought to Wonder. Bunny had $15000 of weekly business so 3 drivers were dovetailed. The problem with this was Wonder had run Bunny business down the drain AND was taking Bunny business and putting it on Wonder trucks for over 3 years. In the end 4 Bunny drivers were 'displaced' ,3 were dovetailed and NO Wonder drivers were affected. AN AMAZING COINCIDENCE!!! SO BEWARE!!!

PS- when was the last time you saw your union rep.? I havn't seen one since 1992!!!!!!!

Comment: I purchased a box today of Drakes Apple Fruit Pies from our local Walmart Store. The box stated that there was 8 pies in it. When I opened the box there was only 3 packages of 2 pies. I was missing a package. I know that the box states to send complaints through the mail but I do not feel that it is right that I have to pay for postage too. I generally like their products, but it is a disappointment to not be able to get what you pay for. How will I know if this will happen again?

Have they quit making them? If not, what's the problem in this area? I'm on a lowfat diet and these cupcakes are my only source for chocolate cravings!

Don't you know by know that Lang gets Debbie dollars for the way can he can make somebody's life miserable. They don't care if he breaks any labor laws just as long as he goes by Deb's law. Which is more important to keep his job. HR Deb doesn't care about anybody but herself. Some day she will get her medicine back.

I myself have been with the union 25 years and have worked for Kroger, Holsum, Metz, Sara Lee and Earthgrains. I was offered a transfer from the west coast to the Sara Lee in Fort Payne, Alabama and I accepted. After relocating here and buying a home in the country the plant started closing down. For the first time I am working a non-union job and believe me.. you guys should all get down on your hands and knees and thank God for your union. Sure, theres a lot wrong with the BCT&GM but you wouldn't want to see it gone.

Since we are ONE company with Columbo as of June 1,2004 I see more route cuts upcoming. Why have two routes in the same area when you can combine bread and cake in one truck to save on fuel, labor and overall cost. Longer hours are just around the corner. The company would rather pay an employee overtime then to hire someone and pay their benifits. Fuel, health and welfare and workmans comp are well out of hand and the company will do just about anything to survive.

I tink they have some kind of history. Really makes his boss look bad and lose repsect from all other employees because everyone else knows what's been going how and how worthless he is. You know what they say, when the "Fox" is away everyone will play. Get it.

SOAR,cavalier by: ibt734 06/03/04 07:43 pm Msg: 16167 of 16173 Good post. Let's talk about what has happened to this company that I started working for in 1983. There was a time when this company sent their production managers to AIB [American Institute of Baking] in order ot learn how bread is made at this level. That went away many years ago. Now they'll take anyone they can find to work for them and put up with the incompetency of their immediate superiors. The overtime that is spent in dealing with the many breakdowns we experience is off the charts at times. But to hear the labor bashers tell it, it's OUR [labors] fault that the costs of things like this are too high. God FORBID that maintainence actually FIXES THE EQUIPMENT THAT LEADS TO THE OVERTIME TO GET THE PRODUCT OUT! While we're talking management malfeasance, how about the cost of Sullivan's golden parachute [our golden shower] as a factor in lost $$$$$$$ for re-investment or R&D? How about the money spent on atiquated automation that may have cost us millions that was proved to be inoperable and eventually cost prohibitive? How about the racist attitude of this company that has cost us millions in lawsuits? Now pardon me while I go and puke.

Employees shall exercise honesty, objectivity and diligence and act ethically in the performance of their duties and responsibilities ..Employees shall be ever mindful of their obligation to maintain high standards of competence, morality and dignity.instead here are some words to describe Billings management Arrogant, Critical, Egotistical,Insensitive, Mean, Unfair, Power hungry, Dictator, Double Standard in handing out discipline and the strongest possible discipline for even minor mistakes. Favoritism, Manipluative. Little encouragement or recongnition. No clear direction on what they want done."Do as I say not as I do". 'Keep your eyes closed and your mouth shut on what goes on around here" "To get along go along" Deb in HR you have let this monster get out of hand you had a chance to correct this but chose to look the other way you have also stood by and let Lang run wild over the employees with his out of control behavior and anger .

If a customer buys a bad quality loaf ( check out Webers round top some time) the'll be back. If it happens again you lose them. If it dosent improve we will fail. But then again maybe thats what they want. so they can file bankruptcy. we shall see in the up coming weeks. It starts from the top. If you dont take care of your people, you're people wont take care of you. And you fail. The sad part is....its nation wide. question.......how many times has IBC been sued for discrimination.
