While, there are other routes busting their butts, trying to make their time stops, while this routeman is cruising. Time to retire, but why should you. |

Comment: The same day we got our 60 day closing W.A.R.N. act notice IBC hired guards who are here 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The guards have been seen walking our infamous Krusty Chest to and from her car. I WONDER if the guards are protecting us from her. Did the other bakeries that closed hire guards? |

Comment: Bob, wow....I know that must have been hard with the amount of seniority you had....They did give you any severence pay of anything correct? It would seem that an 18,000 route would be almost impossible to run...that is really a big route...I am assuming that is with the COMBO type route with the Dolly products aboard as well. Sorry man...I know it must be tough...but hopefully better things await your future...I am not sure really at this point where this company is going...not up anytime soon....management just seems to have made too many mistakes. Good Luck!! |

Sorry it's taking so long to close their doors but sometimes these things do take more time than they normally would.
IBC is a very corrupt corporation which breeds incest, racial and sexual perversions beyond human understanding and boundries.
Somewhere, along the lines of decency, they chose to cross, now we need to turn them back forevermore! |

Was it determined by Seniority alone? Was any notice given to you before you were layed off?? Just curious how they are doing things.... |

I hear you about treating employees with respect, but do you think Flowers is so profitable because of that???? Come on! They don't have a huge nugget to pay with pension and healthcare costs! If IBC didn't have that, they'd be a lot more profitable and wouldn't be closing down so many bakeries. If anyone is to blame, it's Elsesser. |

At least someone else has seen the real Charlie Smith. He was a crook when he worked here along with Larry Worley. Now these two crooks are running PC's. Someone at GO is protecting these idiots or they have something very bad on someone at GO that has to protect them (maybe Bob Morgan) who is a snake in the grass as well.
But we all know nothing will happen because the good old boy network runs this company. |

Comment: When are you all going to learn that no one at the General Office cares about the field. They will do what ever it takes to make their bonuses and unfortunately yes these checks are normally higher than most of our salaries - just look at the inventive plan documents (even though it was to be stop after the bankruptcy) - Tony just changed who got what and cut alot of us out that are located in the field.
Am I mad about it YES, but can I control it - NO.
Alot of these people are working excessive hours - not all and some are just skating by and getting the big fat check.
For one is Smith - glad to see his check is held up - but will he get it - yes, because he will screw the people in the field once again. Less route sales, less production crews, less maintenance, satination. Means more money for to pay for Smith's check.
What really pisses me off about this bonus thing is that Smith actually still gets one - since he has done nothing to generate any postives within this PC - he has only decreased the attitudes of everyone who works within this PC. That is why the majority of the people have left this PC. We have lost good employees, supervisors, management personnel because of his lack of intelligence and his constent child like attitude (yelling and screaming until he gets his way). Hell I use to spank my kids when they acted like that, but hell he is the VP of the PC and people just accept it or ignore it and work around him.
Charlie Smith is one major dumb screw up. He is a crook and will steal anything he can (order it through the Company, have the Company pay for it and then take it home - i.e. Computer Equipment, Clothes, Tools).
Charlie Smith has always operated under the motto "Lie Cheat Steal to get what you want".
Tony A - if you truely read this (or your boys) - then investigate Mr. Charles Smith, VP of the SC PC, and you will see alot of money being wasted and taken out of the Company's bottom line - ultimately the Stock Holders (which I am one) are losing out. If the Courts every see the money/property he has taken they could file Fraud Charges Against him and put his ass in Jail. |

Comment: Transport Tom: Goes to show you CLEARLY that when a Company is ran with INTEGRITY, taking the time to put EMPLOYEES First, training, benefit, and payscale wise, geographical location, attention to detail, GOOD QUALITY UPPER MANAGEMENT....EQUALS a VERY SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS. There is a way to run a business..there alwasy has been...if you run a company on "secular" principles...it is built on a "faulty" foundation and will fall...FLOWERS was built on a SOLID FOUNDATION with principles that have been in force for literally thousands of years...it wouldn't be hard to find out where FLOWERS got it's principles....look in the BIBLE....for those of you whom this offends, I am sorry...but BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES ALWAYS WORK....need I say more. |

Comment: Attn. IBC big shots here is how to run a bakery, a little lengthy but worth reading. Maybe you could learn something although I would not bet on it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In September 2003, George E. Deese, president and c.e.o., Flowers Foods, Inc., Thomasville, GA, pledged to open a new baking plant every 18 months for the next three to five years, saying at the time that the added capacity will facilitate expansion of Flowers? direct-store-delivery territory. He estimated that during the next three to five years, the company would reach an additional 35 to 45 million consumers through geographic expansion. The opening of the well-designed and technically advanced Denton, TX, plant more than demonstrates the company?s promise and is the latest step in Flowers Foods? long-term Texas strategy.
"This plant takes all the technology garnered at other Flowers? facilities, and leap frogs to the next generation of automation while still maintaining a level of art that is inherent to baking quality products," said Keith Wheeler, president of Flowers Baking Co. of Denton, LLC. "It was also a true demonstration of excellence by the whole Flowers team to convert this existing structure that housed a satellite dish manufacturer into a producing bakery in only 30 weeks."
The cavernous building just ached to be a bakery, according to Mr. Wheeler. "You could almost smell the bread baking when you walked into the empty building," he said. "It offered an ideal layout with three long production bays. It was big and open with high ceilings, heavy infrastructure and widely spaced columns."
The plant is also situated in great geographic proximity to the Dallas/Ft. Worth market as well as southern Oklahoma, Mr. Wheeler said. "We needed Denton due to a combination of capacity needs plus distribution expansion into North Texas and Oklahoma."
COMPLETE ARTICLE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Texas has three large population pockets, according to Mr. Wheeler, "Houston, San Antonio, DFW, and you can add in El Paso as well. DFW has 5 million people in the metro area. We had access to products, mainly through our Tyler, TX, facility, but not a ?fresh? presence. Here, we are 30 miles from DFW versus 80 miles for the Tyler plant. The company is committed to putting pans where the people are, and this plant gives us much needed added capacity in the state of Texas."
Flowers products originally came to the Dallas area thanks to a retail customer, according to Mr. Wheeler. "We put on merchandisers to supply the customer and in 1996 added bread routes to serve other customers. We?ve grown rapidly ever since."
The city of Denton was helpful in expediting the purchase. "They helped speed start-up time," Mr. Wheeler cited. "The timing of the plant acquisition was also unique. Gary Davis, our regional vice-president, had feelers out seeking a North Texas location. We got an excited call on a Friday about a ?must see? building. Executives from Thomasville viewed it the very next Monday and made a bid within days."
Flowers worked closely with the city and county, according to Robert Benton, corporate vice-president, manufacturing. "The state, through the Texas Workforce Commission, provided us with the funds to train technicians and supervisors on the operations of a high-tech bakery, covering electronic, mechanical, food safety and other areas."
The purchase included the building situated on 90 acres, of which Flowers has sold off 30 since acquiring the site. "It is almost a campus-like setting with very attractive surroundings and building facade," Mr. Wheeler added, "which is great for visitors as well as employees. We also have plenty of room both inside and outside for expansion when needed." The plant currently uses only two of the three bays for production.
In an interview last month, Michael Beaty, senior vice-president, supply chain, Flowers Foods, noted, "The Denton facility was a perfect find for the company. It was well-designed for a bakery. To accommodate our specific needs, we not only renovated the existing structure but added on significant square footage.
Although Mr. Beaty and Mr. Benton planned on joining Baking & Snack during its visit at Denton, priorities of business and hurricane aftermath required both gentlemen to be in Houston where they were busy helping reopen a shuttered bakery Flowers purchased from Sara Lee several years ago. That plant will run a single bread line temporarily to help make up lost production capability of its New Orleans facility.
PEOPLE AND PROGRESS. The plant?s management team is headed by Mr. Wheeler, along with Rick Williams, director of operations and Lee Boyer, manufacturing manager. Management?s philosophy toward leadership runs parallel to the company?s corporate culture ? uncover the potential in people and then do everything possible to help them achieve that potential.

Payroll is generating the checks now.
For the PC Management - your checks are being held to see if you meet the deadlines on cutting routes and support staff. If you succeed, then the checks will be sent out on December 30th.
Happy New Year to those who have survived the last round of cuts by Alvarez & Marsal you have worked hard this year to make the stated goal.

Comment: To Anon in Schiller Park:
When I read that post the term "Terroristic Threats" came to mind. I don't know how you meet the criteria, but if someone says "I'm gonna kill you" or "I'm gonna poison you", that would be a criminal offense. We don't have any customers to spare. We can't have some guy......or "guys" as he claims, scaring them into taking it seriously and staying away from IBC products forever.
I enjoy making fun of some of the posters on this board and the IBC management, but this kind of stuff is just pathetic. I don't believe for a moment that this guy is capable of anything but maybe someone else does. And maybe that person puts in a few phone calls to try and ID him. Why bring that crap down on yourself when there's plenty of other crap to go around.
Here it is bedtime and now I'm all wound up! |

Comment: KANSAS CITY ? Three of professional racing?s leading women race car drivers ? Danica Patrick, Leilani Munter and Melanie Troxel ? have signed on to become Hostess "Race Divas" under a new sponsorship agreement with Interstate Bakeries Corp.
The racing sponsorship program will involve Hostess Twinkies, Cup Cakes and Donettes and feature a range of promotional activities, including special limited edition packaging and displays, which will debut next year, with photos of the three drivers.
"Interest in women in professional racing continues to grow, with Danica, Leilani and Melanie serving as excellent ambassadors for the sport," said Kevin Kaul, Hostess marketing manager. "We are pleased to sponsor these outstanding drivers as they pursue their dreams and inspire an even more diverse fan base, and, at the same time, leverage the opportunity to connect the iconic Hostess brand with the enthusiasm surrounding racing and women?s increasing prominence in the sport."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ms. Patrick said she was "thrilled" to have Hostess as a sponsor and to be part of the Hostess Race Divas program.
"It?s an exciting opportunity to bring together America?s favorite brand of snack cakes with the country?s favorite spectator sport," Ms. Patrick said.
As the 2005 I.R.L. (Indy Racing League) Indy Car Series Rookie of the Year, Ms. Patrick has emerged as an international superstar of racing, further increasing the popularity of the sport. In addition to her fourth place finish at this year?s Indianapolis 500, Ms. Patrick had five other top 10 race finishes in 2005, including a sixth place finish in the Peak Antifreeze Indy 300. She also won the pole starting position at three races during the 2005 season, tying a record for most poles won in a single season.
Ms. Munter, who has signed to race for Konica Minolta in the NASCAR Elite Division for the 2006 season, qualified fourth and finished seventh at the Texas Motor Speedway in her first super late model race in 2004. She made her debut in 2003 at the South Boston Speedway, where she placed ninth. In addition to racing in the NASCAR Elite Division, she is a race instructor at Fast Track High Performance Driving School and a special correspondent for NASCAR.com.
Ms. Troxel is a two-time National Hot Rod Association (N.H.R.A.) champion and a record holder in the Alcohol Dragster class, in which she placed second for the championship. Most recently, she was the runner up in the 2005 N.H.R.A. Finals in Pamona, Calif. She also has earned the distinction as the fastest female racer in N.H.R.A. history at over 330 miles per hour.

Comment: Thank You IBC!! Thank You for closing my Bakery and laying me off. Since leaving IBC I was hired immediatly at a salary much higher than the one I was getting. I have way less responsibilities and regular hours with weekends off. This past Thanksgiving weekend I had Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sun off. Never would have happened at IBC. After 3 Months I was given a $3,000 raise and now I'm being told to expect a large year end bonus. Why is anyone still working for this bullshit company? Get out now!! There are tons of good jobs out there for competent people. (Philly and Jamaica people, you will have to learn to read a clock BEFORE your next job hunt). |

I have had not been told that any of the route drivers between Gainesville, or Sherman would be promoted to any sales manager and or depot manager...The math to me was 4 men....3 routes....and like I have stated previously...no one has told me or informed me personally otherwise. |

Comment: To the Sherman Dolly Routeman:
No layoffs are forecasted!! Of course, It seems "scary" and the drama sometimes overcomes us when a company goes through changes. But has anyone actually told you that you are going to be laid off after the 19th? There are 5 people in the Sherman / Gainesville region. One is transferring north, and another is becoming the area manager. That leaves 3 routes - 3 routemen - 1 area manager. Do the math!! You are SAFE!! |

Comment: To Bill Eilers: I have been told many things..that I do not know what to believe. I knew Gainesville Routes had been cut...and the Sherman/Gainesville Depots' were combined...however there were only 5 ROUTE men for 3 Routes...One route man going South and is pleased about it....So since I was LOW MAN on the route....it didn't take me long to figure out what was going to happen. If I am not going to lose my job....then it would be a good idea for my SALES MANAGER B. D. to let me know what the opportunities, if any, will be...this is the first i have heard about it...therefore still consider myself out of a job when the deadline rolls around in December...like I stated...aboslutely no one has informed me of any more opportunities for employement at the SHERMAN DEPOT area...therefore..I guess, I will believe it...when I see it. |

IBC is pleased to annonce the purchase of 2000 new dump trucks for our bread and cake reps.
These trucks are a must, since the company insists on breeding new products suck as WONKA cakes.
These new company vehicles will be used only when the display product that you get plussed, goes out of date. Since you will need the dump trucks to haul all that stale back.

Comment: Wal-Mart DSD Rules:
(varies by store - depends on the clerk)
One vendor at a time.
Wait outside (rain or shine) until your name is called.
Be on time for your appointment. You will be refused if you are late, even if we are not ready for you.
Have your invoices ready, and your product ready to scan - if our telezon is wireless, we still make you bring your product to US - we will not walk to where YOU are standing.
NEVER touch or go within 15 feet of the door. The door will remain locked until we get ready to open it.....even if we decide to go to break while you are waiting for us to unlock it.
DO NOT RING THE BELL!! We know when you are outside. You must "Walk around" because you are crap. You are scum. You are our VENDOR. |

Comment: To the Dolly man in Sherman - Your route is not the only one being cut in the Sherman / Gainesville region. They are closing the Gainesville branch and moving the routes to Sherman. With it, one additional route will be eliminated. Sherman will be taking the Wal-Mart private label as well as Wonder bread in Durant, they need a Sales Manager, a vacation relief driver, and a merchandiser. The Sherman branch will be booming again like it did years ago. Stay where you are - you will not be out of a job. Just hang in there! |

Rumor has it SFFB has been sold to the same family that had it before and they are making one hell of deal by getting it for millions less than what they sold it to IBC.
____________________________
Not to great of a deal when there's only about 2% left of of what they sold to IBC. No quality left, no bakeries left, no depots left, no any etc. left.

Why did the company make this choice to ' tie this in' with the DVD release??? Didn't they learn their lesson from last summer's returns from the movie release??? They will continue to make bad choices and decisions that will drive what is left of this company into the ground. WHAT IS NEXT?????? |

The problem is all inside your head, they said to me
The answer is easy if you take it logically
I?d like to help you in your struggle to be free

Furthermore, I hope my meaning won?t be lost or misconstrued
But I?ll repeat myself at the risk of being crude
There must be fifty ways to leave your employer
Fifty ways to leave your employer
Just slip out the back, jack
Make a new plan, stan
You don?t need to be coy, roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, gus
You don?t need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, lee
And get yourself free
Just slip out the back, jack
Make a new plan, stan
You don?t need to be coy, roy
Just listen to me
Hop on the bus, gus
You don?t need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, lee
And get yourself free
P.S. It's easier than you think. |

Comment:
I like to shop at the stores that have their own bakerys inside. These products are fresh and in many times still warm from the ovens. I have been told that there are very little chemicals or mabey none at all to keep them fresh for a long time unlike the products delivered from outside sources that have alot of chemicals in them to preserve the product so it can lay on the shelfs for weeks at a time. Buy in house bakery products. They are fresh and better tasteing. Better quality too. Cost is less also. |

Comment: Oh say can you see.........
anyone in management that can show any balls.
they bitch about how sales are down.
they keep screwing with the receipes. Flavor means everything.
you wash out the chocolate instead of enhancing it. Add cinnamon.
why don't you all taste your product when you are working over the receipes? hmmmm you know blue bunny has tasters. They aren't afraid to say yuck....but here? Speak up. I don't want my kids to eat something that is just fiber with no flavor. I want to taste vanilla in my sponge cake. I want chocalate to burst out from the icing. Raspberry icing that has a tang to it. Get with it people. Quality Control quit just weighing the cakes, really look at the product.
Oh yeah, I hear you whining about cost. What does it cost to have a product that TASTE GOOD?
Quit sitting on yesterdays laurels and look around you. Cinnamon rolls should taste like cinnamon not just have the look. Add a few more ounces of tast into you product. Then bitch about sales when they go up.

Comment: Here in our neck of the woods seniority is based on time with the company. Wether you are Wonder, butternut, dolly, or hostess. Hostess is non-union, dolly and both breads are union. All new routes, doesn't matter who you were with, wonder and butternut pick their routes based on their time, and hostess and dolly pick their routes by time with the company, union status has no factor. Hostess is however, being forced to join the union. What happens when they run out of routes before they run out route guys? Hmmmm. |

Comment:
If your still an employee at IBC today and haven't come to understand that Alvarez and his clowns are cowards then you rightly deserve what's coming your way on their next wave of corporate bullshit.
Knowing the truth is one thing but failing to figure out that your being played by these creeps and kissing up to them is too much for real people to put up with and not heave their guts out
When they come around to indoctrinate you on how this company with your help, is going to get better, all you need to do is smile and nod you head in agreement. Then when they leave, forget everything they just said and go back to work knowing nothing you are ever going to do or say will ever save this company.
It's understandable that you have to stay aboard till pink slipped. But it's a sin and against your interest's to believe otherwise.
Hitler told the Jew's they were being moved to better quarters with showers and real doctors to care for them. Alvarez and his clowns are exactly like Hitler and his flunkies.
What about your labor unions, you ask! Think of them as Hitler's labor camps. The only value you have for them remains in what they can salvage after burning your body in their ovens. |

Comment: I would add to the reply to Jean that the practice of freezing any fresh product is strictly the decision of upper management. It is not done on a regular basis and should actually never be done. It's better to be out of product and lose a customer one time than to sell them inferior product and lose them forever. That's Business 101, but I'm not sure any people running the company now have a business degree. Sorry about your dinner. |

Comment: To Jean: Consumer...Your rolls were probably FROZEN...therefore the rolls would probably not cook properly. IBC International Brands Corporation is going through a BANKRUPTCY...they are cutting jobs..attention is NOT being taken to detail...IBC doesn't really care about the product anymore. They probably froze these rolls way ahead to make sure they would have enough for the Thanksgiving season...therefore your date as given for "good until"...was really not realistic...if they are frozen and then sent out...the quality is compromised..as you found out. QUALITY is not at the top of IBC's list right now...ONLY PROFITS...so sorry you as a consumer got caught in the middle of it....as IBC seems to forget that without good QUALITY products by GOOD QUALITY people...will eventually put them "OUT OF BUSINESS"...and that is exactly where they are headed. |

I recently purchased two packages of Bread du Jour Italian Rolls for Thanksgiving. When I tried to bake them I found that the tops would not brown and the inside would not cook. This looks to me like it was old, although the date for selling was 11/25. These two packages cost me $5.00. I feel that I am entitled to a refund. These uncookable rolls left my Thanksgiving dinner without rolls. Please advise what action you feel is appropriate.
Thank you,
Jean

Comment: Call corporate and ask. What have you got to lose. Make sure that they explain it in full. They WILL answer your question, not human resources. You have already stated that you are about to lose your job. Personally, I think some people in management are not sure about what the proper procedures are.Do not go down without a fight. Management already thinks you will just file for unemployment. Another option would be getting a labor lawyer. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!! |

Comment: To Razz:....Yes....you are exactly right...however I was told that I COULD NOT JOIN THE UNION...that DOLLY TEXAS ROUTE DRIVERS could not join the Union. At any rate...it all comes down to this...If you are DOLLY....and if you have no SENIORITY....then your chances of keeping your job with IBC is impossible. When I worked for this company before....having a CAKE ROUTE was the best job you could have....well..not so...having a DOLLY CAKE ROUTE was the worst thing you could have this go around, and that is what they handed me....well...now I will be filing for unemployment soon....along with many other IBC workers. |

Comment: To Beaumont and the rest of Texas:
NEWS FLASH
Union chooses first , then Hostess Non-Union, then Dolly seniority first. Although, if HostessUnion or Non Union pick a route outside of depot, they currently are located at then it is treated as seniority first . Try to figure that one out. Also, I was told by the union that Dolly drivers with a certain amount of seniority could sign up with Teamsters. It is called being "Grandfathered". Management will not tell you this.I.B.C. bought C.B.C. and an I.B.C. employee has every right to join union , if employed at that time. Also, a Texas location supposedly became a Union shop recently by adding a Hostess route. These are questions that need to be addressed immediately. Speak up now or forever hold your peace.Sometimes , this company makes me Wonder. Remember, employees are on" need to know basis only". What have you got to lose by asking questions? Your Job???? Dec. 19th is right around the corner.GOOD LUCK!!!!!! |

Comment: To Anon in Beaumont area...Thanks for the name on your Manager...I had heard my District Mananager this far North in Texas had the same area...however that is not the same name as my Sales District Manager. I had worked for Wonder Bread 3 other times...I went back to work for them in July...my Manager told me all about the boost in sales that would occur because of the COMBO routes...I was carrying only DOLLY at that time and considered a DOLLY ROUTE MAN....they gave me an impossible route to run...all door stops before 12...and scattered all over North Dallas which was 55 miles away from my depot. I did it though...and was promised so much when I was hired. Yes..I was LOW MAN...and the other guys in the depot were UNION...and had many years of seniority..the point is...the Manager knew I would be out the door within 6 months and never said a word..I had given up a good pension job to take this one with all the benefits that this Manager said I would be getting...I now know since they didn't even allow me to go to orientation that they had no plans to keep me...but to use me so the depot manager wouldn't have to run my route. The problem is now...it is right here at Christmas...it was hard to tell my family after I had endorsed this job before we decided to take it...only for me to be out the door within 6 months..I have a 10 year old son...wondering where Christmas money will come from...no severence...etc....apparently they are giving severence to some people per news articles...but they are not giving it to the route drivers. Good Luck to you in Beaumont..guess we should look at this all as somewhat of a blessing...as who wants to move forward with a Company that treats it's employees like this...no integrity at all. God Bless..... |

Comment: Kenny Paul is the Division Manager down here in Beaumont/HOuston TX. There is no union at our branch but it did not matter. Seniority means more than anything. Kenny promised me that I would have a job- turns out it was a lie. I posted some serious increases on my route. The first year on my route I had a sales increase of $45,000.00 and a 2.2 % stale average for the year. All of that meant nothing. I was also well liked by my branch manager. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE THE LOW MAN WHEN IT COMES TO SENIORITY YOU BETTER START LOOKING FOR EMPLOYMENT ELSEWHERE NOW. YOUR NUMBERS WILL NOT SAVE YOU. THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IS HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEEN WITH THE COMPANY. WE ARE NON-UNION IN BEAUMONT BUT SENIORITY IS ALL THAT MATTERS. |

Interstate Bakeries to cut 450 more jobs
GARANCE BURKE
Associated Press
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Interstate Bakeries Corp. said Tuesday it is laying off 450 workers as it consolidates operations in three regions across the country.
The bankrupt baker of Wonder Bread and Hostess Twinkies said the closure will eliminate the positions of store clerks, salespeople and delivery people in nine states by the end of the year.
The news marks the latest cost-cutting measure by Kansas City, Mo.-based Interstate Bakeries, which has shut seven bakeries and eliminated more than 4,000 jobs since it filed for bankruptcy in September 2004.
Given falling demand for bread products, Interstate Bakeries' new management turnaround firm has sought to reduce low-performing operations by consolidating the company's bakeries and distribution hubs across the country. The company is making simultaneous efforts to rejuvenate flagship brand Hostess Twinkies and to woo customers to a line of new products.
Last month, the company - the nation's largest wholesale bread and cake distributor - reported monthly sales in September were the second-lowest since it filed for Chapter 11 protection.
Interstate spokeswoman Maya Pogoda said the company will complete consolidations in the next four months, after analyzing operations in the upper Midwest.
The company said laying off the 450 workers would result in $3 million in charges, including $1 million in severance pay. Interstate Bakeries will spend an additional $3 million to implement the consolidation. The U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Kansas City must still approve the changes and will hear the motion in mid-December.

We have been purchasing Grandma's Emilie's Multigrain Bread from Fred Meyer & Safeway for several years. Now, neither one of the local stores stock this brand. Can you tell me where we can purchase this product in the Seattle area? |

I have been purchasing and enjoying Chocolate Hostess Cup Cakes for over 45 years and I have had a few which had the package open and the cakes were dry and I?ve had a few with no cream filling but this current box of Chocolate Hostess Cup Cakes had cream filling in only one of the cakes and the rest were very dry. I know that you value your consistent quality and your great reputation for the finest snack cakes and I just wanted to notify you of this slip-up. I have enclosed the numbers off of the box for your use in making sure this problem is a once in 45 year mistake.
Thanks for your consistent quality and great tasting smacks.

Hello, I recently purchased a Hostess White Coconut Layer Cake from a grocery store in Moulton Al. When I got ready to use this cake as a dessert I was very surprised and shocked to find it dry and crumbly. The date on the package is for Nov 26, so it should have still been moist. The code on the package is NOV2652B31107:56$299. UPC is 45000 60012 |

It doesn't matter how good you do your job. Even the company has no say so in that . It's a union senority. At least that's how it was here. |

Comment: Wednesday, Nov. 23, I was informed that my job would be eliminated December 19. For those of you who are in the same situation, I must tell you that you will NOT get severance pay. Also- do not expect to keep your job because you perform your job at a high level. The cuts are being done based on seniority only. I have been with the company for almost 2 years. When I started, my route was one of the worst performing pulling out of Beaumont. Now it is the top one down there. I really don't understand why they would choose to let me go!! One last thing... DO NOT TRUST WHAT ANYONE TELLS YOU. MY SALES MANAGER OUT OF HOUSTON ASSURED ME THAT I WOULD HAVE A JOB NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENED.. IT TURNED OUT TO BE A LIE!!! LOOK OUT FOR YOURSELF-- NO ONE ELSE WILL. |

No doubt about it, folks! Alvarez is turning to sex in order to meet his bottom line. Besides the Bra Busting, Tire Burning Diva's of Hot Wheels in America what's next you ask. Well it could be a new line of IBC bake goods shaped like chocolate dipped dildos, or cupcakes shaped like women's bust lines.
When you don't have the talent it takes to run IBC, your last resort is to play the sex card. Now it will be Sir Pimp Tony and his Clowns running IBC into despair and human deprevation or bust!
IBC, is the place where only the most perverted can expect to be promoted or just bent over for good! |

WalMart is seen changing their spots today by adding Hot Tubs to their ever longer list of items for sale.
Sometimes WalMart fails to make sense. How can poor people (their reported bulk spenders) spend their money on Hot Tubs or Computers when they can't even afford the utility bills to drive them or a real home to keep them in.
According to most Labor Unions, WalMart employee's should be wearing prison uniforms and performing Voodooism for their No Care Health Care.
Personally, I think the Unions are pissed off because Walmart won't invite them to dine on their employee's paychecks for union membership, monthly dues monies or whatever creative fines and other fees, Unions come up with from time to time.
WalMart is turning the corner on serving the needs of middle class American's. Now if the Free Trade Agreements with other nations don't financially kill them off first, the middle class will start to enjoy ever lower prices and have the opportunity to save a little something each month besides. |

Comment: TO ALL IBC ROUTE DRIVERS,PRODUCTION, DISTRIBUTION,
HAPPY THANKSGIVING,
ROUTE DRIVERS:
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR EXTRA LONG HOURS THAT UPPER MANAGEMENT HAS PUT ON YOU.
THE NEVER-ENDING CHANGES YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH.
HATS OFF TO THE ROUTE SALES THAT ARE STILL HANGING IN THERE.
PRODUCTION, DISTRIBUTION:
The never ending changing hours for you, the games played, jokers not working 4 hours a day and getting away with it ,the crap they are forced to send out.
WHAT IS THE
MEANING OF QUALITY TO IBC....
IT IS QUANTITY.
OFFICE:
Some people really do work in the offices, others no. Who is really caring about wasting hours away on the phone , excessive laziness ,and what time you have to leave to get your nails done?
UPPER MANAGEMENT :
Again I state, they are killing the company, needs housecleaning.
I am so ready to go postal and rid this company of the crooks and idiots that sit in their office and make decisions that make the actual heart of IBC, the common worker, miserable.
EVERY PERSON THAT MAKES OVER 50,000 A YEAR SHOULD RIDE A ROUTE FOR 2 WEEKS, OR WORK IN DISTRIBUTION OR PRODUCTION.
Your fancy computer and spreadsheets are killing us, along with the power trip you are really making another deadly mistake..
you've been making for years.
HELLO WHO GOT US IN THIS MESS UPPER MANAGEMENT ?
I don't believe it was routemen, or the others listed.
HOW DO THEY KEEP THEIR JOBS?
I BELIEVE THE GOOD OLD BOYS ARE STILL IN CONTROL.
CLEAN THEM OUT
CLEAN THEM OUT.
Maybe this is just one person's opinion, but I have backup with the same opinion.
Get Rid of Some more Upper Management!
Idioits that do major changes around the holidays.
Thanksgiving Week,
The worst Holiday yet. No product, late trucks, ordering screwed up, need I go on?
Just knowing about routes being cut by DEC 19th makes me sick!
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE DATE FOR CUTS UPSTAIRS AND HOW ABOUT THE BONUS RUMOR FOR CUTTING ROUTES BY A CERTAIN DATE.?
I HOPE YOU CHOKE ON THE CHECK .
THAT'S ALL FOR NOW |

I was Wondering when someone was going to mention this . I thought that advertising dollars were being cut along with our wages ? Although, I would be willing to take a fifty dollar a week paycut, instead of 38 dollars, if we could have more racey advertising like this . I would like to thank the Hostess rsr's . Without their generosity this would not be possible. Look what your paycuts are paying for.............. I think Dolly Parton is next on the list. |

Working for IBC this past year or more has been like working for the criminally insane. Almost everyone in management and a few workers in production sound more like manic depressives with an axe to grind.
I just wonder when their first in-house suicide will take place or some manager gets laid out for good.
It's never a pretty sight to see these things take place in our society because we tend to hide them from public view. We don't want our neighbors to know how nuts we really are, do we? |

Comment: To Mike Kafoure
Never easy my tail end.
I have listened to your confrence calls and we all know you sit in your plush office or Board Room with a catered lunch and tell the PC's to eliminate Jobs - you do not care about the employees. And we know that the PC VP and the rest of the fools in PC Management are just like you they sit in the Confrence Room with a catered lunch and free snacks/ sodas taken from the retail store or employee lunch room.
Yeah Charlie Smith were are talking about you - the only difference is most of your Directors/Managers have QUIT the Company because of YOUR Stupidity and LACK OF MANAGEMENT SKILLS - (so kiss Tony and Mike's A$$ again).
Back to Kafoure:
You act as the jobs do not affect real people - You are wrong you dumbsh** these are people that you are affecting with real families. Not everyone has it so nice alot of these people live paycheck to paycheck, (no fault of their own), and depended on IBC to help them provide the basic necessaties of life.
Not everyone has a Company Car (you dont even pay for the damm gas), and other Company Paid Benefits. A monthly income that is more than some people make in a full year.
It must be nice to be able to screw up peoples futures during the hours of 9-5 with a 1 or 2 hr lunch break, then go home and kick up your feet and sit back and watch your money grow.
Well alot of us are working 12-14 hours days and we are just watching our money decrease with the higher utilities, fuel, food, clothes and other basic needs. All comes down to higher cost of living and NO increase in income (NO DAMM PAYRAISE FOR YEAR AND HALF).
And you say you as management care about those affected by the actions caused by the BK. Stop feeding us the crap Mike (& Tony) we all know better - ACTIONS ARE LOUDER THAN WORDS.
GO F**K YOURSELF YOU MISERABLE PIECE OF SH**.

Comment: Letter from Mike Kafoure to all Employees - He is so ful of Sh** it is not funny.
November 22, 2005
Dear IBC Employee:
I wanted to share with you updated information regarding the Company?s ongoing reorganization and consolidation efforts. We have now completed a review of nine of ten PCs. We have previously closed six bakeries and have announced the closing of the Lakewood, WA bakery as well as consolidating some retail, sales and routes in these areas.
While it is never easy to close a bakery or eliminate jobs, I want to assure you that management has worked hard to limit the number of layoffs, and have even reduced them in some cases. Negotiations with the IBT and BCT locals continue, and with the ratification of modifications and extensions by several locals (and more expected), we have been able to effect cost savings and efficiencies without implementing as many layoffs as had been originally anticipated.
Nonetheless, consolidations will be implemented in the North Central, South Central and Southeast Profit Centers and completed in the Northern California, Southern California and Northwest Profit Centers over the next six weeks or so. We also expect to complete the last of our PC consolidations, affecting the Upper Midwest PC in the first quarter of calendar 2006.
While it is impossible to predict precisely what locations and routes will be impacted at this time, we expect approximately 1,250 jobs to be impacted across the six PCs noted above. We intend to notify those employees affected by these consolidations as soon as possible and to do all that we can to make a smooth transition.
Thank you for your patience. We will provide you with more information as it develops. Your continued cooperation and loyalty are appreciated.
Sincerely,
Michael D. Kafoure
President and Chief Operating Officer

Comment: What ever happened to the SEC Investigation that named Charles Sullivan, Mike Kafoure, Frank Coffey, Bob Morgan, Paul Yarick, Brian Stephenson for stock fraud.
I still see at least two of these crooks are still employed.
Additionnally the $40 million that Sullivan/Yarick hide that related to the Workers Compensation Reserves - that has not been brought up for a while in the press either.
I really am hopeing that the SEC/Gov does something to these Crooks - It killed my investment in this Company and they walk away rich and untiouched while the employees are devisated.

This stock has an anchor tied to it and it is headed for the ocean floor - thanks to that dumb Foreigner - Tony "dumbshit" Alvarez.

They are killing IBC and they do not care, they are still getting their fat paychecks and bonus checks while we all suffer and lose our jobs.

What's the matter, Alvarez? Are you spellbound or speachless? Don't look now but your stock is in the toilet...again!
You better speak up and start talking to the publc and your employee's alike. Otherwise, the best of each will be gone before you can say Jack Daniels, if you please! |

Comment: THIS INFORMATION FROM A GOOD SOURCE: Routes will be up for SALE after the first of the year. This is a practice that many of the larger companies such as SARA LEE, MRS. BAIRDS/BIMBO, and other have implemented to save on fuel costs. So with that...we have to say that anything can happen...be aware of it...and if you don't have the money to buy a route...it would be a good time to "bail out"....make the best of it...and move forward with your life. |

IBC is looking more like a beached Whale each passing day. Where is their so called "Exhalted Leader, Alvarez" ? He might as well be fishing in Oregon for all the good he does this company.
There is soon going to be an uprising among their route drivers over the impossible numer of stops verses you can't get it all on one truck!
Mark my words, people! |

Comment: I agree with Pete.....If they product can not seem to make the "limelight" on it's own..it is going to have to have advertising through another "media" ......lots of people watch the races. However, my thoughts are this company has LONG ago done itself in integrity wise...it will take a miracle for it to ever be what it once was in the "old" days...too many people have had their hands on what GOOD PEOPLE took many years to build up...and for the sake of "money" and "profit"..and extremely "poor management"...it has really underminded the people who with the American Dream in mind...established excellent products...excellent service...that really does not seem to exists anymore. Again...one reaps, what it sows. |

Comment: Here's a good one for ya! IBC can't/wont pay their bills, route reps are giving back $38 a week, , nationwide route cuts and plant closings, equipment is falling apart and yet the bankruptcy judge allows IBC management to sponser the "Hostess Divas" race car drivers?
What a freakin' slap in the face to all the IBC employees! Check out the story in the Kansas City Star. |

I love the bar-b-que bread, but I can only find it in the south around
Tennessee--why? Is there any stores around the continental area that carry
it? Wal-mart in Lawerenceburg, Tennessee does, but not in Ottawa,
Ohio. Why is it not sold around here? Can you make an effort to sell it
here? My family loves this bread also and it is so fresh and moist could you
please try to sell it in the area? If you cannot help me would you please
give me the address of who to reach in my area?

I grew up on Merita Bread, I can remember your company mailing Lone Ranger Badges and Silver Bullets as a young boy, This small token and creed helped shape my boyhood and made me a better person." boy that was a long time ago". Along with all your other products, I especially enjoyed the Merita Butter Bread, but I fear something has changed in the recipe of this bread, When it was first introduced, it texture was soft and enjoyable to eat, you could wrap it around a link of pork sausage and be on your way. But now the bread is hard at purchase and crumbles very easily, "it does not get better with time, if there is a release agent". Has something change? If so please make for the better, I have heard several friends and families members say, it is not the bread it use to be and they would switch to another brand.

Comment: Well, I may be going too. I've been here for 17 years. I'm tired of this. We have always had combo routes here. They were going to give us some relief with some cake routes, and all we would have is the bread. But as usual they took that idea off the table. The thing that sucks, is if I resign. that means no severance pay. |

Get real, you have it easy. Were working a minimum of 14 hours a day. Most days are closer to 16. Plus the fact, we don't have that perfect Ventura county weather. ( I use to live there) Try doing it in 95 plus degree heat with 100% humidity.
You have it easy man. Want to see if we can trade routes? |

Comment: Yes...I heard the routes were going to get really bad...I got the leftovers that no one wanted before the BIG LAY OFF News hit and the new COMBO routes to include DOLLY Cakes after they eliminated all the DOLLY routes, I was hired as a DOLLY ROUTE MAN ONLY...I had no idea what was going on....so the Guy that hired me now says he didn't know about the lay offs to come either....One really wonders now.. I left at 3:30 in the morning...and it was and hour and half just to get to my first stop...I had all door stops in which all of them had to be made by noon...some didn't open until 7 a.m....and then you had to hope that the back door person would let you in early so that you wouldn't have to and hour just to get in to service your SLOWLY DWINDLING DOWN SHELF SPACE as "news" was already being leaked that Dolly was going. This was the CITY I serviced....upper North Dallas in the middle of rush hour trying to get all these door stops...it was almost impossible...but screams and yells were coming constantly from my superiors..it was absolutely impossible some days to make them....I still work a 14 hour day....but with all the stale...as no one seems to want Dolly Madison anymore....makes for a much smaller commission check. Promises, Promises they made me when I was hired...what a complete nighmare this has been for me and my family....My truck has broken down about 4 times in the last 2 months....I guess they don't really much care anymore as my truck is 23 years old with no heat and nearly 400,000 miles on it. I am sure the routes will get longer and longer...IBC thinks they will realy save money that way...but quality will fall I am sure because the men will be tired from so many hours and less pay. Due to seniority, and being of Non Union status...I will not be around to probably see the worst of what this company has done to it's employees....I wish all my fellow Routes Drivers all the best.... |

Comment: Take a look at the new bread route set up for The S.E. Oxnard down in to Malibu route. Your on drugs if you think anyone is going to be able to take care of this route. You got guy?s like Bobby, Chuck and Tom
Out there now and they all can move . Chuck and Tom barley make that Ralph?s now. So you double the bread add a bunch off Chains , Put both Navy base?s on the one route. I say again You are on drugs!
Take a look at Chuck?s truck some Saturday then tell me where your going to put the wonder bread?
Is your plan to loose the Navy Bases? That?s fine just tell them your done and don?t put them on the routes . Easy NO guarantee paid easy. Lets see Boby has chains the don?t receive until 7.00 Tom And
Chuck Have a 8:30 Ralph?s. Tom?s School?s You can will have to serve early But Bobby?s Base will close early. But then the P.X don?t open until later you can come back after you hit Chuck?s Malibu Ralph?s that?s a hour one way in drive time. Then You can hit all the beach stops on the way back to Oxnard to make Kmart and the am pm. And the??????? Better you than me. Give me my severance packet please and I?ll be on my way. I tell you this Fuck heads. I am not working 14 hours a day . |

You have no idea of the circumstances for what you saw. It is a common thing to see a customer that we no longer serve (because their account isn't big enough) to buy product directly from the route man.
So, before you get all pissy, why don't you find out the facts. |

Comment: It's funny (or sad really) to look at the names on the phone list. Since the bankruptcy announcement nearly 15 months ago, there are no new names on this list - just the same group of people who led us down this path in the first place. That list speaks louder than words.
If you take an ugly girl out to a bar for drinks, she doesn't get any prettier in the morning.
Same with this company, until most, if not all the names on this list change, nothing will get better and Bimbo, Flowers, and Sara Lee will grab what they can at bargain basement prices realy soon. |

Comment: The ACLU is our nation's guardian of liberty. We work daily in courts, legislatures and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States. Our job is to conserve America's original civic values - the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
The American system of government is founded on two counterbalancing principles: that the majority of the people governs, through democratically elected representatives; and that the power even of a democratic majority must be limited, to ensure individual rights.
Majority power is limited by the Constitution's Bill of Rights, which consists of the original ten amendments ratified in 1791, plus the three post-Civil War amendments (the Thirteenth, Fourteenth and Fifteenth) and the Nineteenth Amendment (women's suffrage), adopted in 1920.
The mission of the ACLU is to preserve all of these protections and guarantees:
? Your First Amendment rights-freedom of speech, association and assembly. Freedom of the press, and freedom of religion supported by the strict separation of church and state.

We'll have get the Safety Committee to sit in the conference room for a few hours to discuss this potential hazard. |

Comment: The Poster known as "Concerned" in Kansas City, was fired this morning for posting the top management's phone numbers on this website. They stated that he violated some Company policy by giving out these phone numbers and the 800 numbers.
Sounds like they are running scared. Told him if he ever posts again they will sue him for breech.
If you really want to help this guy call those people on his list and really start to fill their voicemails - they wont answer there calls now. Maybe changing phone numbers to protect them from angry employees. What a bunch of pansies, they all got their panties in a wad.
Sorry to see you go - Concerned - you try to do the right thing and they fire your tail. |

Comment: Now we have people acting like they are the webmaster, stating that they do not sell or trace anuthing.
That sounds like Management trying to convice you that they are your friend.
My advice you all better watch out, someone is watching. Overheard Legal talking about going after someone who was caught posting on this site. They lose their job later today and may face possible lawsuit.
All I know it sounds all fishy to me. |

IBC is found sitting in Death Row today because they failed to improvise and to plan beyond their noses. Their leaders thought is was more beneficial to look good rather than taste good.
And most Boggers here are correct when they say IBC is an unwelcome burden to bear in a buy-out with their only hope of survival is mass down-sizing ASAP.
Half a cake is better than no cake! |

Comment: I agree with you, Prozac. This message board is meant for us to speak up, because we know that there are others out there going through the same BS and understand us! No matter who is at fault for the trouble this company is in it's nice to have a place to blow off some steam. I I do believe that it is not the employees' fault what is going on with this place. It's the people that we rely on to sign our hopefully non-bouncing paychecks! We have been here busting our arses doing what we're supposed to do and more, and the thanks we get is, "We are closing shop. "Merry Freaking Christmas." If anyone is offended by the content they see here or feels they are above all of it then don't bother to read or post. That's just my opinion. |

I?m sorry that you feel that I am making a personal attack against Krusty, but I, like others at Lakewood, feel that she has made personal attack on us. I?m also sorry that management has made a whole line of bad decisions. That is not my fault, nor is that the fault of MOST of the employees at Lakewood. The personal attacks that you are talking about are earned - they are not just popping out of thin air. It is NO WONDER that Lakewood is closing. We sat idle, saying nothing, allowing our company to be run into the ground. The personal attack you are talking about comes from where? Well, I say it comes from upstairs and our regional office. They gave no contract, no raise and now, no job. You have a lot of nerve to blame this mess on me. By the way, what the hell is Krusty?s husband doing posting on this web site? I guess that is the benefit of the site. We have a forum to vent and voice our opinions. I am glad that you voiced yours, and I am sure you are glad that I did the same.

About the 4 sale rumors. Who would want to buy this company in the state it is in? Nobody i think. All the plants are outdated and run down and the people in charge incompetent.. The only worth is in the land. The working people are good people and care but nobody in the management end ever wants to listen to them. That is why i think this company will not survive. |

Comment: Wow
We finally found a krusty fan. I can only come to three conclusions of why you would defend the fat bitch. 1) You have the hots for her. You must like the way her ankles flow over the top of her shoes and the way her ass wiggles like two pigs under a blanket. 2) Your in upper management, all the department mangers in the place can?t stand her she does not support them either. She seems to have her own agenda maybe Tony can tell us what the hell it is. God knows that she has the personality of a dung beetle. 3) You are the fat bitch herself, in the case go to hell.
Yes I am a little nuts but the doctor said that I was not a danger the public and I have the paperwork to prove it do you? Last but not least of all, yes I have a face that only a mother could love, I take that back no one could love.

What can be said about this fine company that hasn't been mentioned before? Their top brass don't know how to tie their shoes much less add two and two correctly!
The best lesson they could all learn from is where they are required to handle explosives at work. After their first mistake and a few missing fingers on each hand, they would either quit or get it right the first time.
On second thought, maybe their employees and customers are better off if IBC Corporate don't handle explosives at work. They would find themselves missing more than just their job. |

Comment: NO RUMORS.....
Just an observation.
If this Company has this many disgruntle employees in it's mist,
something is definately wrong and if change doesn't occur, the ship will sink to bottom of the ocean, with no rescue required. Believe me, IBC has Titantic written all over it.
I did 20+ yrs. at IBC and believe me, there is life afterwards. Take care of yourselves and don't worry about the future. Take the future in your own hands. Life has never been better. |

Comment: My post got deleted, so here is an edited version:
Ms Piggy went to the doctor for her annual physical.
Doctor: Well Ms Piggy we are just about done here. Do you have any health concerns?
Ms Piggy: Yes doctor, is it OK that my husband likes to have a**l sex with me?
Doctor: doesn?t that hurt?
Ms Piggy: No and I kind of like it.
Doctor: Well, it?s OK only if he uses a condom.
Ms Piggy: If it?s only a**l why must he use a condom?
Doctor: Were do you think IBC managers come from.
Ms Piggy: Maybe I should just do oral.
Doctor: Oral is OK but never swallow.
Ms Piggy: Why not?
Doctor: After the s*men goes through your system and passed into the toilet within your stool there is a 27.6% chance a baby Alvarez or Marsal will come slithering out of that toilet nine months later.

Comment: As I read all of your comments.....it is clear that there are a lot of people who will not have a job by the end of this year..due to poor IBC management, and apparent lack of integrity to it's employees. My thoughts...and my prayers go out to all of you and your families who are going through this....It is definetly not a good time of the year for a company to be doing this to it's loyal employees. I pray all of you get through this. I have found that there are always reasons to be thankful...look around you...losing your job is not the worst things that happen...so I make it a habit to count my blessings daily....God Bless you all!!! |

Comment: I.B.C. song of the day:
I don't know where I'm goin
but I sure know where I've been
hanging on the promises in songs of yesterday.
An' I've made up my mind, I ain't wasting no more time
but here I go again, here I go again.
Tho' I keep searching for an answer
I never seem to find what I'm looking for.
Oh Lord, I pray you give me strength to carry on
'cos I know what it means to walk along the lonely street of dreams.
Here I go again on my own
goin' down the only road I've ever known.
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone.
An' I've made up my mind, I ain't wasting no more time to find another job.
Just another life in need of rescue
waiting on I.B.C.'s sweet charity
an' I'm gonna hold on for the rest of my days
'cos I know what it means to walk along the lonely street of
unemployment line.
Here I go again on my own
goin' down the only road
An' I've made up my mind, I ain't wasting no more time, because here I.B.C. goes again.

It is so wonderful to go to a supermarket that has a in store bakery. You get fresh and warm products like breads and cakes. Not stuff days or weeks old with chemicals that preserve the so called freshness of a product. But that is how america is and most of its people will eat anything. |

we will keep you and yours in our prayers. too bad about what this company has become. we think it all boils down to upper management trying desperately to save thier free ride. if the company goes under, so do their company cars, free lunches, bonuses, etc. keep the faith, always look ahead and remember, there is life after this dump... |

I guess the best way to illustrate what's happening at IBC is to point to War! It's a War built on misfits and incompetence at all levels of their management forces, past and present.
Now they choose to bark and to bicker among themselves at all levels to the detriment of their customer-base and workforce alike.
They have allowed themselves to become a number of side-shows in a rather large Circus of what not to do in American Business and have turned themselves into scorced earth in the process. |

Comment: To: b.h.b.b.c. ...It is very tough waiting I know...I am from North Texas..a Route Driver, and a DOLLY MADISON Route Driver at that. If you are a DOLLY ROUTE DRIVER...you are out of luck period...as all DOLLY MADISON ROUTES are eliminated and unless you have many years of seniority, or are UNION..you basically are out the door. I am unsure about Bakery workers, and how this will affect them...but I do no cutbacks are expected everywhere. I am told that there is additionally other changes to take place after the 19th in which supposedly Dolly COMBOS into Hostess and the other Bread/Cake products. Lots of route drivers laid off in this area. It will become a kind of "cuthroat" type situation between the drivers as everyone has to bid on routes...and you can bump off anyone...anywhere if you have enough seniority. I am also told that there is a possibility that the Company will implement another program after the first of the year which might be of a 'BUYOUT' nature...meaning a new company will come in, and the DRIVERS will actually have the opportunity to buy their routes outright...this is the way that MRS. BAIRDS/BIMBO has their routes set up now...it actually becomes your own individual business..but unless you have some money...perhaps 50-75,000 to buy the route.....well..then I guess you are out the door. It's all a very sad situation for all IBC employees...unless you are management it would seem, I know of know cut backs, layoffs in that area. I sympathize with all IBC employees....I am one that was told last week that I would be leaving December the 19th. I wish all IBC employees the best....and feel that in the long run...everyone will be better off moving forward with a more responsible...reliable company, as this company has only proven to be totally incompentent...and definetly didn't have their employee's interest at heart at all. BEST OF LUCK TO ALL. |

Comment: Dear Krusy Chest,
I wanted to thank you for the fine job that you have done for this company, you have stood out from the rest, and you have changed the way the company has done business. Through your leadership this company is going strait to the top.
Thank you for trying to fire me for no reason, thank you for lying in a grievance hearing. Thank you for fabricating information in a grievance hearing and then trying to discipline based upon these lies that you dreamed up. If you can?t do the job just quit, like I said before, I do not know of anyone person at this plant that likes you or even thinks you doing a good job. DO US ALL FAVOR GO BURRY YOUR BIG ASS HEAD IN A BUCKET OF ICE CREAM. I love how your ankles hang over the side of your shoes and from the back side it looks like to pigs fighting under a blanket.
LOVE YOUR BIGGEST FAN

What is so sad is that, they are so smug, thinking that everyone is buying this line of Sh_t. And at the center of all the lies is someone like Krusty Chest. If there is a GOD lets hope she rots in hell. I hope she uses me as a reference on her next job interview. Anyone that that hires that dumb bi_ch should be shot on that spot for being a poor excuse to the human race. |

Comment: To Kansas City....I think it is self explanatory what type of character you are by your language, and your being totally in the dark about what this company is doing to good people like the Dolly Route Drivers. Good people are losing their jobs...good people that never missed a day of work...that gave 100% to the Company...but it was the Company that let them down. If you have a job, that's good...but have a little compassion for the one's who did lose their jobs and have families to support...there was no severance offered to my husband...only verbal confirmation from my husband District Manager that his job would be eliminated...and 5 days before Christmas will be his last day. We have children that will not have Christmas because of this. |

We are still in the dark here no one is talking about anything.
We are little nervous to say the least. Sales guys are woalking around in a funk like they can be cut loose at anytime. Production guys are trying to get a read on the new Director of Production, Graul. They say he cut a bunch of jobs before he came.

Personnel Manager was on patrol throughout the offices to ensure no one was hanging around. All we do know is the call was later than it was schedule. Angst, Ashton and Synder were all pissed off they kept getting pushed back. I really wish we new who they called prior to the North Central, might indicate why the calls were lasting longer than expected. |

Comment: You don't know what you are talking about....he was laid off because he had no seniority...seniority ruled at the depot he was working out...and DOLLY DRIVERS are not Union here in Texas..if you will read the Company comments you will find that Mr. Smith elected to keep UNION drivers..and eliminate the NON UNION Dolly Drivers. It had nothing to do with him not doing his job....so really you need to get your facts straight, and quit demeaning Route Drivers..they are the backbone of IBC. And I am a good and decent lady with some integrity.....and not a "chickie" as you call it. The way you are so eager to demean and degrade people....shows everyone on this message board, exactly the type of "true charater" that you have. |

Comment: The Ax Man is coming to your area next - just listened (overheard) to a confrence call between the Alvarez group and PC Management.
More layoffs and job eliminations throughout PC, (and rest of Company)
We are dead people - It does not matter that we made money for this company - they are cutting us to the bare minimums - National sales is losing customers left and right. Smith just rolled over and told them exactly what they wanted to hear - we will cut routes again boss - "I know we can keep the same sales we just do not need all of delivery drivers" and "No problem cutting heads in other areas as well - will start in the shop and look where else we can start to cut heads"
It will not be a happy holiday season for the south central.
If they make these new numbers they get their bonus check before the close of the next quarter or closeof fiscal year. |

Comment: We can train monkeys to do what a rouetman does on a daily basis.
Typical route drivers day:
Drink Coffee
Complain load not delivered/loaded properly.
Drink Coffee
Start route
1st Customer
leave out of code product on shelf
put out new product
crush new so that you can complain later about poor quality.
Take Piss
Drink more coffee
Take 1st break
drive 10mph to next stop.
repeat same steps as 1st stop, but complain more.
drive to 3rd stop,
bitch to delivery dock personnel about how you are treated, tell sex jokes.
forget to count carryover
pull one loaf of return and key as 25
put out new forget to properly face product.
Get first six pack of Miller for the day
Drink 4 on break
take piss on side of truck and laugh.
Drive to 4th stop and repeat for the rest of the next 5 stops.
Drink at least one more six pack of Miller
Go to behind walmart and nap for at least an 2 hours.
Wack up and run settlement and up returns and damaged product to hide the fact that you just stole $250 for the day.
Go to depot and complain working to hard.
Turn in settlement, never signed that way they cant hold you responsible for the package.
Take piss and leave for the day.
Start time 6:00am
Leave Depot 12:00pm
Tell wife you need to be at the depot at 2:00am get home at 7:00pm (what you do during those missing hours is your business dont worry she will never figure out about the chick on the side or is it the casino this week).
Oh the poor misunderstood route driver. |

Comment: word has it three routes are leaving the chicago northside depot and one more being taken off the street. the one being taken off the street is one of the better ones we hear. too bad. ironic how one of the routes being sent away is run by the division manager's "boy", who should be low man on the pole. but because the remaining routes will be redone after the three routes are gone, he can't be bumped. hmmm. sounds fishy to me. if you are reading this, C.J., you better call the union CUZ we believe that route will be back at northside after oh, say, two or three months? |

Comment: To Lilli: I too am a wife of a Route Sales Driver...or should I say will be until December 19th as he will be laid off. I know how are my husband works..and Lilli you are absolutely right, it takes a special type of person to run the routes, maintain their shelves correctly...and keep the customer's happy...which in return keeps IBC happy. I have checked this site to find out information too...sometimes it is the only way to find out any information as upper management and superiors has kept Route Drivers in the dark about these upcoming changes for months. PLEASE...I think it unfair of anyone to comment about any woman that checks this website on behalf of her husband...the route drivers are so busy doing their job..they do not have time to check it. GOOD LUCK LILLI to you and hour hard working husband.... |

What we are all worried about is our familys well being, and it is human nature to get angry when that is threatened to be taken away.Venting this way is healthy and relitively harmless,If there is no place to let out company frustration there may be a new term called going " bakery" in the near future.

Makes you wonder based on some of the comments lately, that maybe IBC or someone on their behave paid the fees and now they are running it. If so then they can use any information that they obtain how ever they deem necessary. |

Threats of getting IP addresses is illegal . What people are doing here is protected by the Constitution under freedom of speech. Threats of taking peoples jobs by getting information by hacking could not only cost YOU your job, but also end you up in jail. |

Comment: So you all finally admit you have been stealing from IBC what a shock. Thanks. Now you have given more reason to get rid of the worthless route drivers - which we all knew were a bunch of damm crooks.
Now I will be sending the Audit and Security teams to your areas for a full review and anyone even missing a dime will be fired on the spot. Go ahead and file the grievance papers now, but no help coming from the Union, we have them over a barrel - its called the COURTS. Marching orders for the audit/securty boys search and destroy, the more you fire the better you will look.

Comment: All routes to be eliminated - They are going to Self Owned Distributorships. IBC will sell you the Truck and allow you to rent space in the Depots, but you pay for the product upfront and no returns allowed.
This is BS - in other words - YOUR SCREWED. |

Comment: The way it worked here in North Texas...If you had seniority whether you were Union or not..you had a better chance on getting a route. Dolly routes in North Texas were all eliminated, and Dolly carries NO Union status here in North Texas. I will be laid of 12-19 I was told yesterday. |

Comment: For those like myself who wait on pins and needles for the next idiotic move that will push I.B.C
Closer to the brink of total self destruction , today was a good day.
I herd rumors That Willie St. P. and Andreas {little Willie} were to do the route cuts and restructuring in the 63 -186 area. Should I dare to hope?
Today when The route bids came down I about soiled my self. Oh my gosh , I am not sure who did these but In true I.B.C style and consistency it was done with the consideration and foresight of someone who?s goals and concerns have nothing to do with selling product. I applaud you I.B.C and I dare to say I am sure this is the beginning of the biggest cluster fuck in corporate history. And that is saying something.
Thanks again For the enjoyment and I?m sure there will be more to come.

Comment: Yes the company sucks. I understand that. But as long as I draw a paycheck from these bastards I will give them 100% effort. Remember - work to please yourself. When it's all done you'll be able to hold your head high knowing you weren't the problem. And no I won't "give it up". I put in too many hard years to quit on this shit now. |

Comment: To answer you question about Dolly routes in St.Louis. All Dolly cake will be going on Hostess trucks. All bidding of routes has been done. Dolly was dovetailed into Hostess seinority list for the rebid. We ended up cutting about 14 Dolly routes. So that means 14 people are to be layed off. Some Hostess some Dolly it just depends how much seinority you have. All these changes will take effect in the next few weeks. |

Comment: To K.C. :
Just when the route restructure begins, or shortly thereafter the Hostess rsr's in Texas will take a $38. a week paycut. Yes, that was BASE PAY cut. You do not think that the contract "modification" , did not come at a steep price. Enjoy your rts. , as you go into your own personal bankruptcy.Remember , this has been planned for a long time. Isn't life Wonderful. |

Comment: Just got informed they are now going to eliminate Transport Drivers again.
The only way we can make these runs now is not report everything on the DOT Logs - we are not running legal as is, it will only get worse. If you get caught by the Troopers or DOT then the Company says we never told him to run that or he did not tell us he was over his hours, he must have picked up another guy's run. Dont worry we will reprimand him and it wont happen again. YOU ALL ARE FULL OF BS. |

Comment: Just so you all know what the mood is like in the main office of the Profit Center. (We are just up the hall from the PLUSH OFFICES of PC Management). Well two of the offices are empty, (people who quit, Production & Analyst), Sales is hardly ever occupied (we do not know if he quit or just refuses to come here to work - maybe staying on the road). The other two hide in their offices all day (HR and Supply Chain) and then we have the Mouth that Roared, Mr Charles Smith. We can hear him throughout the offices, even when he closes his door. He tells everyone he is always working - we can also hear him tell everyone when he is going to check the market.
We all bet that he is going to the local strip joints or to see a hooker.
We have determined that his work consist of pissing off at at least one Plant Manager or Department Head at each plant each day of the week. He also tries to piss off at least one Sales Manager or lower sales manager each day of the week. (This is how this guy gets his jollies).
The PC HR Manager, (Dan) is scared of him or why else could he get away with this crap. The Supply Chain (Jack) is just sticking around until he retires. And Yust, OCM just hides in Emporia or on the road, so that he does not have to face Charlie everyday.
That is the daily life of working in the Lenexa Office. Welcome to our hell on earth. |
