It is so SAD that the employees have to work on such a holy day or any holiday. You will not see one of the corporate good old boys working on any holiday. No one is standing and waiting in line to purchase IBCs so called fresh cake or bread products. There is no valid reason for employees to work holidays anymore. Management does nothing for the employees out of kindness. That is why many people are not dedicated to the company anymore and only do the minimal amount of work needed to sustain their job. This is why the company is and will fail.

For you employees that are complaining, for one, you guys get paid too much money to whine, a third of you are old enough to be on social security and lazy as zips ass, try getting the amount of money you make at ibc while your on social secruity, another third of you can't even speak the language and dont even know what your doing, try going to school to learn our language before you apply for jobs here, or better yet try making the amount of money you make at ibc in your own countries, im guessing what you make in one week at ibc you cant make in a lifetime in your own country, and the last one third of you are just plain lazy and just dont want to work, but hey why work when the company is willing to pay you to play cards in the canteen, works for me.. and that one percent thats left over needs to start working and stop screwing the supervisors that are married. amen

If y0u have a problem what ever it is with any I.B.C. complaining on this site will do you no good at all. If you want to return the product take back where you bought it. atach a note to it explaining your problem. The store will with no questions asked refund your money or replace the product. Any problem with any product willl them be resolved by the route manor area company rep. IBC stands behind all of its products If you purchased something in a vending machine there is probably a phone number on the machine that you can call and report the problem and the maching owner will take care of it some how. Again sorry but you will get nowhere posting your problem here. I am just an employee of this company but it concerns me that you were not satisfied. Hope this helps

Think about it, IBC is paying out 40 millon in bonuses to people who are running the business into the ground, call me crazy but if i were a multimillion dollar company owner i wouldnt want the same people running my company that just put me into bankruptcy, hey but thats just me thinking out loud.

A national union contract will never happen.Why? 1.keeping contracts local helps the locals keep track of there own pension and health and welfare funds which means they have more access to our money and thus makes it easier for the union to misuse the money with little oversight. 2.A national contract would mean more leverage for the employee and less for the company, the company dosent want this and as long as our union's are working for the companies best interests and not ours it wont happen. 3.The company can get away with paying some people less money for doing the same job in a different city. bottom line is the only one who would benefit from a national contract is the employee and we all know the company and the unions dont care about us.

What union is in Henderson there, the bakers union? Is it union for sure? Can't be with no pension.

IBC does pay the lowest in Henderson, we know from Payroll and from what the employees that have visited here indicated. Thats not fair but why it happened is anyone's guess. Just get a copy of the contract and you can see, but what can the employees do now? I feel sorry for them. They don't get pension either, why would IBC do that to employees that they value? Guess the quality of the product produced there is very well known to be not even good enough to feed to the birds.

This goes to the person who posted anon.I.B.C.is far from perfect,but they were doing fine before they purchased Wonder/Hostess. I worked in a location with Wonder and Dolly, you would be surprised which routes worked longer hours. Dolly did and ran much higher rt. avg. I.B. C. underestimated how BIG a effect the union would have on being able to consolidate the company. Wonder has lived off their white bread line for years, even before I.B.C. bought them .This is the 21st century and change happens everyday. Wonder did not change regardless of who owned them.When the contract is up we will all be through. When the contract is up we will all be through. When Flowers takes over, you will see changes.

Here's the problem in a nut shell and nobody wants to face up to it. Most of the good, hardworking, dedicated driver/ salesman have retired and all you have is lazy (how fast can I run the route, no back callings guys) on the routes now. Yes, there are a few really good drivers at the 05 plant, older guys still hanging on, but for the most part, the younger guys don't like the hours, don't like the work, but they want the big paychecks, the benefits, that go with the job. The union is not like they used to be. Companies today, have them in their hip-ass pocket. I'm a Union man, been one all my life, come from a long line of Union men in my family, but gone are the days when a company feared the Union. Just like now, the company has the upper hand. You want a job, you give back what we before you worked so hard to obtain. Health & Welfare, good pay, good retirement and on and on. With the company in BK and contracts expiring all over this year, Good Luck if you keep your health insurance "free" ! Ain't gonna happen. To all you old guys still hangin on.. A tip of my hat to you for staying with a company that no longer cares where you end up. To you young guys that are always in a hurry, and yes, I see you in the stores, you don't ask me to try your product, you don't even see me standing there looking for a particular line of bread , I don't see the displays that sell product. What I see is 3-4 color codes on the self, nothing rotated, a rack that looks like it was serviced two days ago. Worse of all, I see a guy that has on dirty clothes, shoes not shined, shirts that have more wrinkles than my grandmother. and hair so long, I have to see the front of you to tell if you are male or female. Talk to the old guys and listen to them and let them tell you what it takes to be a breadman.

Interesting note in the latest Teamster magazine. 12,000 teamsters at IBC. At some point IBC(in some form) will return to the negotiating table. With so many expired and extended cotracts, would it not give us tremendous leverage at that time to negotiate a national contract along the lines of UPS? What would be the reason to keep negotiating local contracts?

Just think if Deb fired you for writing in this site, she would have to bring you back with full back pay. Look how many employees in the past she has fired and they came back with back pay. This should tell you something. But like you said even the white hats are scared to death of Deb.

ibc is the problem. Wonder was too big for them to manage. Next solution is to have everyone do their jobs and be held accountable! Too many times upper management sits it their offices while their branch managers have to run around with their tails between their legs because they can't do their jobs, they are too busy doing their bosses jobs, and running salemen's routes because they do not have enough people. Do they get paid extra, or a part of the commission for the route they had to run, nope. How long has it been since branch mgrs and supervisors got a raise? It is so sad that route salemen make more than branch mgrs. IBC needs to get the top dog and assign responsibility to all and hold these people accountable, when someone has do do over and above their jobs they should get compensated for their work. Why hasn't the problem with the bakeries been handled yet? Bread is either late or shorted. The bakery does not get in trouble it is the branches new problem to fix. Why is butternut and wonder operating under two different pay plans, pensions, 401k, etc. when they are all expected to be a team? Get things in order and get organized, simple solution. Assign, deligate, and hold responsible. Pay people what they are worth with some kind of compensation.

Flowers take over expected sometime in mid June.Interested in Hostess Cake only-----at least thats the rumor here.

To any customers who are writing with complaints about products you have purchased. I am sorry that you are dissatisfied with our product. However posting your complaint here will do you no good at all. No one who can do anything about it often reads anything here. This is not an official site of I.B.C. I would like to advise you to return the product to the store you bought it from. Atach a note to it with your complaint. The store should refund your money or replace the product. I.B.C. stands behind thier products 100% and the store will get credit for any returned product whatever the reason is.

IBC Pride, Thou doth protest too much. If you are indeed in the "respected" management position as you claim then it will be easy to pick you out. So very few are respected for their actions speak louder than words. I would love to believe you as it would give me great hope but alas, Santa and the Easter bunny are as real as Biddeford and the IBC North East being around next year at this time. BTW, I am one of the few hourly employees that show up, do as I am asked, and withold my opinion within the bakery. There is enoygh neagtivity there as it is.

I just called the dsm's office in my area to report a consumer complaint about our products. He was not available to talk , but I asked the thritstore Mgr. about how her day was going ? She responded by saying that long time customers have been complaining about the fresh bread falling apart. I told her that was the reason I was calling. I had to give credit to three different accounts on stale tasting products. These were all items ,I had just put in the stores two days prior. I was so intrigued by this, that I sampled a "fresh" Cherry roll . The cherry filling was bittersweet, just as the consumer complained about.Also, Pies are half filled, which would be o.k. if it tasted good , but they do not. When E.S.L. started,I thought it was a good Idea . They have done something different to all the products. I think Tony Alvarez and his cronies should all sit down and taste test our products at a staff meeting. I think it might just open their eyes.Do you think Touchdown Tony told the Levi employees to leave out a couple of stitches. I should say NOT! Maybe somebody at one of our bakeries can enlighten us all. I would like an explanation.

2nd Friday this month no work on bread line 1 or rolls. Seems we had more work at this time last year. There are no more ingredient deliveries by rail. 40 trucks of flour per week going to come in. as if the traffic isn't bad enough.

One IBC? Don't make me laugh! The boys at wonder won't be happy until all the Millbrook people are gone. Most of the branch managers that I have met a are lazy and arrogant. Wonder management is just plain mean spirited, openly showing their distain for anything Millbrook. Without their cash cow Homepride, they would be nothing, just look in one of their trucks and all you'll see is Homepride. Why cant the bakery in schiller pk keep their maint eng? In the last few years a few were terminated and others quit. Could it be the fault of that little shrimp with the short legs? Give Mr short legs the job as he runs the dept anyway no matter who is in charge. He will make a great dictator.
