About the AC and radios; a few years ago the transports in, at least Oakland and San Francisco, had to sign another one of those IBC safty things after reading it over. Two of the safty things were the AC and radio and went something like this: 1) If you start to feel sleepy, turn on the radio. 2) If it's too hot, turn on the AC. Tony G. couldn't get them to fix his radio and he used the safty paper he signed and got it fixed. :)

And since the stock market is not performing as well this year as in past years, means more cash contributions will be required to meet the Government requirement of 5.77% rate of return for the current term of investments. What does this mean to all of us, simply put you will see more firms filing for Bankruptcy protection and we as the employees are the losers again, we will be lucky to see ? of the expected benefit if you meet the stated years of service. If you are younger or just starting with a firm, then you will see nothing and the funds will be used to pay the ? due to the longer term employees. Some of these defined benefits plans are protected by the government, they will be the ones getting something (pennies on the dollar), and those who are not under this protection will get even less or nothing at all. The Government should be passing this legislation in the near future to help big business to get out of debt so they can become more competitive in the Global Market. Which really only helps those who own stock in these same companies. Personal Comment: This is why Alvarez and his bunch of thieves are sticking around to get the cash and use it to get IBC out of debt, which then will put them in a better position to sell the company as a whole.

Two longtime supporters of the University of Toledo are giving the school $5 million to renovate its basketball arena,....Chuck Sullivan, a retired chairman of Interstate Bakeries Corp, announced the gift to the school Monday. He and his wife, Jackie, also are giving $1 million to start new scholarship programs.......The Sullivans in 2003 donated $1.2 million to the athletic department for renovations of the track, tennis courts and soccer fields.
