Its the last day of the month. Rack counts are way low, stock has fallen to an all time low. Some employees are still getting mega overtime. There are to many green hats up stairs with large salaries that really don't do shit (almost as many greenhats as shipping foreman that don't do squat). Also, shipping foremen are going to get 2 days off in a row on a rotating basis, whats with that? Some of us have worked here for almost 30 years and don't get the oppertunity. To all who read this, Tomorrow, Friday the 29th, will be my last day as a swing driver at Hostess Cake. I have held the position for the last 10 yrs. not because I had to, but because I wanted to. Okay so you are closing the thriftstores. Where is the stale going to? Hogfeed? Does hogfeed pay better then the thriftstore sales? My wife went to Sam's club and bought some Colonial buns this weekend. Being a former IBC employee and having only purchased Wonder products before hand I see now why they are a turd in the toilet waiting to get flushed. Making Baker Inn's smaller makes alot of sense and IBC is way behind on this trend. They should of done it alot earlier when everyone else reduced their scaling sizes. The object isn't make the bread smaller so people buy more. The largest growing buyer in the market is the single mother, old maids, and forever bachelors. Making a product smaller allows the consumer to actually finish the product before it go stale. Would you buy a product you family can't consume before it expires?

Closing more thrift stores makes sense for the company. The object is to sell excess product and returns at a thrift store, not have the rediculous base orders they have now which competes with the regular stores in the area for sales. Thrift stores are a way to make more money off of unused product than they get from selling it to the hog farms. You shouldn't be making a profit at a thrift store you should be cutting your loses.
