Isn't Rick the one who initiated that program a couple years ago to get a day ahead so there wouldn't be any late deliveries? That really worked out well. Another decision by IBC that backfired and cost the company millions. Yeah, Rick's the one to guide the ship. IBC is a loser company with incompetant losers in charge and they just keep going in a circle. They really need to close about 50% of their bakeries and start over. They should keep the main labels, focus on quality, and sell the shit out of their lines at bargain prices. There is way too much dead weight, especially on the Left Coast.

Well the cutting is starting here at the Glendale bakery with the perfect storm of an excuse. Yep they pulled the ace from their sleeve and used the Oven as the scape goat. Whats up with Glendale distribution with 3 assistants with only 2 shift of production. One of them is just coming in to pick up a check . Ray Bendoza ran this department with only 2 assistants. IBC just saved $65,000.00. Ray Nicole look at all the employees working on the outside purchase product. Do you need all these employees to put up Outside purchase product. The foreman and one other employee from this shift sit in the distribution office and bullshit all day and act busy when you walk in the office. Another $140,000.00+ including benifits IBC pays, you can save for the company. Mr. Jung you just saved over $200,000.00. let save some more money for the company get rid of the HR manager at Plnt .27. To Sacramento Re: Quality, they just don't get it. Every minute a line is stopped because of equipment downtime quality starts to deterioate. Then you reach a certain point that you are trying to save the product while some mechanic tells you to write up a work order or it cannot be fixed until a down day. This type of answer does not help you at all yet we try to do what ever it takes to save the product. The mechanics do need to be held accountable, if they can't fix it I think they should be sent home. If it was the line worker not able to do his or her job they would receive a poor job performance or sent home. Until the focus is put on the mechanics product quality will suffer. The old veteran Chief Engineers knew how important it was to keep up on equipment PM's and getting equipment that was offline fixed and online ASAP and not wait for a downday to fix something? But all those people have left the company and all we are left with is Plant management who think making a loaf of bread is like making a Cement Brick, pour it in a mold and then knock it out.

We have a cardboard cut out of the chief engineer, we just stand it up near the oven when it breaks down. The cardboard cutout is giving us better results then the real thing. Cardboard is cheap and recyclable. Once we find a tall enough piece we will make a Dick Willson cutout hoping for the same results.

All budgets were reviewed by PC all the way down tp the individual bakeries. The plants that will be closed will be dismanteled and equipment/parts will be shipped to where they are needed most. Both Coasts are going to be hit in the first round. I think I know which ones, but will not say since I am only speculating at this point but will let you all know as soon as I can (want to cross check) My goal is not to ruin someone's life with bad info. Well the budget reviews are done and now the carnge will begin. Expect more bakery closings in the very near future, expect route averages to be increased again, which means less routes on the streets. Time to start pruning the product line as well and shifting of production to meet the new higher (Co Established) demands. For all remaing employees - no raise again this year and higher medical premiums and no Company contribution to your 401k of any kind. For those of us who travel, better get real acquainted with your own car (no flying unless over 6 hours away), and Days Inn (or like) will be your new choice of sleeping quarters.
