Heres the plan fellers. Pick a number of Plants in different areas, make them look real pretty by planting flowers and slapping a little paint on the walls and make a place for everything , and everything in its place. This is suppose to make everyone fell better about thier job and coming to work. They want a reduction in work force or other savings for this improvement to work nothing comes free. Here's the plan. Organizing Your Workplace With The "Five S" Process. 1. Sort: Remove all items from the work area that are not immediately needed for the job at hand. This includes tools, documents, containers and equipment. 2. Set in Order: Everything left in the work area should have a designated place. 3. Shine: Clean up the area to consistently make it look good. 4. Standardize: Develop procedures that will keep things like new. 5. Sustain: Follow the procedures developed for maintaining an orderly workplace. This requires discipline not to cut corners. If the procedures are not followed, old habits will resurface, and the benefits that come from an orderly workplace will be lost. There you have it, the Five S's. This will be another loser program like SOAR, SAP. Think of it like whenever the Government wants to do something it usually gets screwed up?

Letters with paychecks explaining that they still don't have a clue on how to get out of Bankruptcy. But there is still money that can be squeezed out of this orange. Look at it as we are all getting off one roller coaster and we are about to get on another roller coaster. Those that already have a sick stomach should get off now.

It is not healthy to have so much rage against any company. You don\'t need to be so miserable. You all will be much happier and healthier if you leave. Too bad so many people seem to think that a company owes them a job. We all live in a free society, we are all free to find another job. Good luck

Keeping score cards on all personell. One supervisor over how many people? Did the score card instructions come with a instruction booklet with BIG LETTERS & crayons so the managers could get the best usage out of it? Did the instructions say select one employee out of many and when they come in to work follow them around relentlessly. Did it say walk behind them so close if they stop, you would run over them? Did it say stalk them to their work station and then act puzzled because they are actually working and not running off to the breakroom like management does. Did it say stand there like an idiot and pretend to be drinking water for several minutes? Did it say to follow them outside of work?

NO GOD DAMN RAISES AGAIN! Go IBC. But my boss tol dme to make sure my stale is under 7%. Thats not a problem. I get cut enough stuff to keep it under 7% anyway.

I see a lot of quality (or lack of) complaints on here. drivers have complained about these for the last 2-3 years. The problems are well known by everyone and NO ONE in IBC upper management will do ANYTHING to correct these problems because: (1 ) They have no clue and don't know how. ( 2) The management has already ran the company bankrupt and they have no money to make improvements cause the they couldn't get their raises and bonuses for running the company into the ground. (3) They really don't give a damn about the customer So if you want to the same stale, moldy, dried out , burnt product, just keep buying IBC product. I would highly reccommend it so the big bosses can keep getting them bonuses !!!! Or you could buy the same products from other companies and get better quality, better tasting, fresher product at usually lower prices. YOUR CHOICE . For those customers who have written, you can call IBC at their Kansas City office and complain. They will apologize and falsely tell you they will fix the problem and send you a free coupon for more IBC stale, dry, burnt product. Who would want it though ??

Get rid of the MANAGER that is allowing this to happen and save this company some money. Maybe put one of these foremen in as the lead manager, atleast they know what to do.............

I'm a non-union manager. Please IBC let the union handle our health and welfare package. The union has better benefits then I now have as a company manager. My union worker are retiring and at least they continue to have medical benefits while I have to stay here and die a slow death. If I only could go back and do it over again, but it too late now.

Ah yes they told us the benefit for the company to have all us hourlies to pay part of our insurance at $75 a month and step up to bat and pay $30 co-pay; that would save IBC $7 million a month alone. hmmmmmm has anyone looked at the cash flow report lately.....oh that's right IBC still has to get current with it's reports...... SAP was supposed to do that so everyone would have up to the minute real time information......the cost of converting to SAP hid a lot of missing information......and all Paul got was a lousy $50 thousand dollar fine that IBC paid of course. Where the hell is JUSTICE?

The company sure could show a profit if they cut the payroll on the leadership. Everyone on the top has an assistant and down the line of leadership all the way to the stupervisor. He has the assistants also and their called lead men. Union people that make a dime more os so. Everyone likes to have alot of assistants because thats less work they have to do. Here its like politics. Not what you know but who you know. Theres not much anyone can do as thats the way of the world. Just like the city worker that has to dig a hole and make street repairs. 6 people come to the job and only 1 is working. Same here. Plenty of waste to be found.

IBC !! GREAT NEWS!!! Net (Loss) $(3,751,364) for this period !!! You know they are hi-fivin each other saying what a good job they are doing. Someone needs to start trimming the herd down. If I was in charge, I'd be eliminating enough off our bloated payroll to show a profit. For a start I'd say goodbye to Lonnie and his group, Rowdy and his group, Sanitation would be bye bye, and why do we need so many Field Safety Managers and Human Resource Managers? If you need more suggestions just let me know. After we trim the herd back we can have a Bar-B-Q.

IBC !! GREAT NEWS!!! Net (Loss) $(3,751,364) for this period !!! ONLY $771,229 is attributed to Restructuring & Reorganization Charges which means IBC just had their VERY BEST 4 week sales period of more than $234 million dollars in months and STILL managed to lose $3,000,000.00 or almost a million per week from operations. That is after subtracting all the Restructuring & Reorganization Charges. What are these idiots doing ?? They don't have a clue!! There is good news though !! We have a manager in Kentucky who is doing his best to improve company profits. I heard he gets paid pretty well by IBC for practicing nude modeling for a female employee while at work. Makes you think twice about them Twinkies, HUH ??? Net Income (Loss) $ (3,751,364)

Re: Anonymous Date: 2007-06-18 This company has taken advantage of enough people. They only give out a pay raise when someone threatens to leave, is this really fair to the ones that have been sticking around trying to do our share to pull this company out of BK? Sometimes enough is enough, Most of us are just waitng for a class action lawsuit to come along so that we can teach this company another lesson on how to treat people right. Some how this company just doesn't get it. They will take care of the "Good Ole Boys" but for some reason don't like to pass it along. Take a good hard look and see who we have hired or promoted? A lot of these individuals don't have the slightest idea what they are doing. We have hired more people to do the same shite we use to do with less, its no wonder why we continue to lose money month after month. This Company filed for Bankruptcy yet we operate like we are making all kinds of money. there is no faith in the leadership that is running this company. We are doing what ever is asked and being lead by the mindless. No one asks questions anymore just do as you are told. People have suggestions but no one will listen. Sucessful companies don't ignore these simple business rules.

Hey Kiss Ass in Henderson, you must be one naive & stupid SOB if you don't understand why some of these people are so pissed at IBC. You sound like a new supervisor or manager? You probably got hired in at a much higher salary than some of these guys that have many years of blood, sweat and tears invested into this company. You are probably highly motivated by the excellent salary IBC is paying you and of course by the prospect of a promotion and of the higher salary if you keep jumping through the hoops. What motivation do you think these old timers have? By the virtue that they have not received a raise since the company went bankrupt and the ever increasing cost of living, they, in reality have taken a substantial pay cut. The company expects them to do the same work (actually, more work because not only do they have all this paperwork, but they also have to train you new sorry assholes to replace them) that you are so happily performing, for far less money than you. I think they feel a sense of betrayal. So, go ahead you f*ck*ng asshole, feel free to criticize all you want without knowing what the f*ck you are talking about.

Dear Anonymous Henderson Nevada. It's quite alarming that you take pride in wanting to help drive this company out of business. You refrence daily scorecards, & other reports. Most employees are unaware that the Managers in Operations are required to perform these reports. I find it repulsive that you as a Manager want to be counted in to put thousands of your co-workers out of work. Our responsibilties should include doing whatever it takes to help keep our employee's working. So I for one will continue the daily scorecards and any and all reports necessary to keep my fellow workers employed. With Managers like you, only concerned for themselves it's no wonder that some of the Bakeries are failing. When you can truly look your employees in the eye and they can see that you truly care about them then you will find success. Because it really doesn't matter what company you are working for, with your attidude your bound to fail.

Family Guy in Springfield...The writing is on the wall !! Your first clue should have been Jim Hutton leaving to run Tulsa...Yhis got him familar with the Tulsa Plant and its Operations, next when they took out your equipment to run sandwich bread and left you to depend on other plants to run your product while you were told to run the failed brown bag $3.00 a loaf product which flopped badly, you should know by now YOU ARE BEING PHASED OUT !!! Sorry to give you the bad news always stinks !1 But you have time to still find another job before they give you a 60 days notice, or you could wait and draw your severance pay and unemployment !! As long as you know its coming soon, SORRY !! But that's why they sent Jim Hutton to Tulsa, they wanted him in place when they shut the doors on Springfield.

To KL: Good for you , in finding new employment. I did over a year ago , and I work normal hours off weekends and same benefits. I was only with IBC for 10 years , but it seemed like 20. I enjoyed most of my time with the company because of the benefits . I saved over $100,000 in my 401 K. It got to be so negative , working at IBC that I had to get a new job. The new company I work for is family oriented and is positive in every aspect at all times. They go the extra distance in making their employees very happy. It was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make. People do not realize how great it is to work in a positve environment. People tell me what a changed person I have become, because of the job change. All I can say is think outside the "Twinkie". These people think that this is the only job out there. That is just a cop out, pretty soon they will be forced to find new work. Guess what??? They may struggle at first , but they will be "Smilin' in the End"....

Both these guys Joe Saldana and Robert Mosqueda got fired from Orowheat bakery for fighting and threatening employees and they got hired by IBC and they are doing the same over here. Rick Shownberg, I don't know why IBC didn't think of this a long time ago, your a genuis. The Company guys ask for a raise and you tell them 'NO" and if you don't like it here maybe you should look for other employment. But you will leave positions that have not been filled with a Union person and pay him all the overtime he can work, in fact he's making more than if the position was filled with a nonunion company person. Rick you are so smart, the company workers get more pissed off with your stupid answer if you are not happy here maybe you should leave. These kind of remarks can only help lead this company to fail.

I left IBC about a year ago after twenty years with the company. It was a very scary decision, but I am SO glad that I made the move. I now work regular daytime hours, and the work conditions are much better. I am treated professionally and with respect. I still have to work on Saturday, but I make over $17/hour. I usually work about 45-50 hours a week, so with overtime, I make about the same as I did with IBC, only I work about 20 hours less per week. For the first time in years, I feel like a normal person again, rested and not stressed out. Why couldn't I have figured this out twenty years ago?

The only reason Chris was hired was that Rondina and Grosvenor gave him a break because Don Dennison would not make Chris an assistant chief. Chris was all about me,me, me. He was a GLORY HOG and took credit for work that other people had done, suggestions and ideas presented to the plant manager, you name it , he took credit for it. The biggest mistake he made was, you don't stab you boss in the back no matter how big an asshole he is. if you want to get rid of your boss you have to do it right and that takes patience, which Chris didn't have. So don't cry for the big bullshitter, he will land on his feet and start telling everyone how good he was for Glendale.

Pomona: How many people lost their job for stealing time, was it 11?........Thats what happens when they put camera's up and watch you punch out for break and punch back in . then go back and take more break...........Watch out Sac an awful lot of you are guilty of this practice. That goes for the break room and shipping office.

Your right Pascal its time get the hell out of this unfixable plant !! Eclund knew his time was up, and If Greer can get Rumple fired he will, hell he got Rick Moor fired, Lisa Mackinsen and if he could get rid of Jim Huttin he would. sense Jim he took the job Greer wanted!! He should have quit when Huttin got that job like he wanted to when he gave his 2 week notice!! He just don't have anywhere to go, so he sticks around getting other employees fired by being a snitch to Huttin and to the HR dept or to gene murpy. Noboby on the lines have any respect for the snitch anymore Mike anyway!! I'm glad you got out, even that lazy bum friend of Greer's had the smarts to get out, you no who, that fella who played on the internet in the engineering shop all day and got paid for it, Danny Brown!! Funny Greer never snitched him out!! Enjoy life Mike we are just tryin to retire, find new jobs and leave before this place falls down on us here in Tulsa !! You no whats going on here and it aint pretty. Take care and enjoy your new (real) job!!

That's why they haven't made a Chief Engineer in Tulsa because they know they are closing Springflield and Dennis Miller is going to Tulsa. Dennis is the only Chief Engineer in IBC that is halfway worth a dam sense all the others got tired of the B.S. and left. The only thing about Tulsa is Rumple has it so fucked up now that Dennis might not be able to fix it now, I really think he can but he's got his work cut out for him. If I would have known he was going to end up there I might not have quit. (not)

Are there any "Old Timers" as my dad calls himself and others of his era that worked for Langendorf Cakes & Cookies with my dad out of the 62nd Street Depot in Los Angeles or the Depot in North Hollywood on Atoll (off of Sherman Way) during the 1980's? I remember names like Ernie Sleet, Sandy Rhoads, Grover Ware, Raul Vigil, Ted Allen, Joseph Mensashe, (sp?), even the Barbara Ann Bread supervisor named Art. My dad started with Langendorf in 79-80 (I think) he hounded John Wackeen for a job and finally landed one. Anyway, he started with Langendorf / Barbara Ann wnen it was American Bakeries, then sold to Good Stuff, then to IBC (Dolly) then CBC (Hostess/Dolly) then IBC (Hostess/Dolly) again. My parent's are nearing 40 years together and we were thinking of throwing them a party and I wanted to see if I could find some old faces to show up (if we go through with this) My dad's name is Ramon Meneses, I remember him running the route in the South Bay (Carson, San Pedro, Torrance, and Palos Verdes) as vacation relief for Sandy Rhodes then "inherited" the "Hollywood" route which he ran out of 62nd/Western, then North Hollywood Depots and ending up at 62nd/Western before the Dolly merger. Thanks guys! Ramon Jr.

A Reminder to all the bakers, production, and transportation people. Mon. color code is blue, Tues.-green, Thurs.-red, Fri.-white Sat.-yellow. Come on, Lets get it right I know you can do it! Do you realize you're costing the company millions of dollars in overtime. The route sales people spend all there time rotating old product that you send several days in advance, Example Mon. we will receive green and red tag product, so Tues. we will have two sets of green tags etc. Some will get missed and the poor customer will receive product that is 8 to 10 days old. yum, yum! resulting is lost sales and no repeat purchases. ESL( extended shelf life isn't worth a F**k) So you wonder why the company is in a downward spiral? Come lets get it together, do your f***in part.

To Stock Viewer: You ask Why? The reasons are many if you are in the lower Management positions just a few examples are pay is not equal, if you work at a poor preforming plant you are making more money then if at a good preforming plant and raises in the past worked the same way. Benefits are less then if you worked in the union, You would say then join the union. The issue is our benefits have been reduced over the years and our union counterparts have maintained or even gotten better. Company is not contibuting to our 401-K like they use to. And it looks like another year of no raises this year. The same people who put IBC in Bankruptcy are still in their positions, and you can't teach an old dog new tricks, they will pee on the carpet everytime. There has been a lot of injustices in IBC and if they ever do come out of Bankruptcy a lot will have to change. Do me and the rest of us a favor and pick another stock because this ones a non preformer and always has been. The healing has not even begun yet. Our new CEO is not the answer, he has yet done any thing that might suggest this company is headed in the right direction, another carpetbagger to fill his pockets like the rest of them.

In other words I am moving on to the rest of my life. For the rest of those at IBC who are truely trying to make a difference and survive I wish you luck and look forward to your future success as a continuing operation. I just hope the small (both in size and mentality) group that is posting on this site do not destroy a once powerfull organization nor affect the larger majority who are trying to revitalize your organization. Good Luck.

Comment: Someone told me about this website and how bad employees speak of each other and their employer. And after reading some of the posts over the last few days I have to wonder the following. Why in the world would employees wish to see their stock drop. As a long time stock holder, who feels that the stock will rebound as soon as they come out of BK, I can not phathom why some one would like to see it tank. The stock is your future and you should be doing everything possible to help it rebound and stay employed. If you do not want to work there then QUIT and go work somewhere else. Based on your hourly wages, you will have a very hard time finding a job that pays you the same along with the benefits that you all get. Granted I no longer own the large amount of stock that I once held, I am not an idiot, I only hold a small amount for sentimental reasons until the stock starts going back up in value.

Comment: I have no affiliation with IBC other thanbeing a consumer of their products. I am curious as to how an obvious attempt to gather more information, about a company you have already sued, to open a door for another suit could benefit anyone. My sife got 27,000.00 from a car accident. She can not work anymore, I think that the money she recieved was fair, you have won a $260,000,000 suit. Let the company learn from their alleged mistakes, andmove on. How many people do you want to put out of a job, because you want to prove a point? I will now not only continue buying their products, but will probably go out of my way to buy them, let it go!

Who's the bright one that came up with this scorecard? This is a bunch of useless information that does not tell anybody anything about the way an operation is running. Why don't you look up your own information in SAP instead of wasting my time getting this for you, Use SAP in the way it was intended. Now I have to give the Engineering department the same information because Rowdy and his engineering boys can't get their own numbers out of SAP. Way to go and spend all this money on a program that was to be used by all but only a few individuals know how to use it. Too bad Jung doesn't know what a bunch of useless idiots we have. SAP was suppose to free up people in different department from running around in circles getting number for everyone. What a waste of money

SAP is accounting system IBC purchased for Million of dollars. All Managers were trained to use this complicated system, Training consisted of going back to Kansas City on a couple of occasions to learn the capabilities of this program. In a nut shell it will give you real time cost of a loaf of bread. But only problem with this program is a lot of managers have quit who had the training to operate SAP. So we have spent millions on a program that does not get used to its fullest potential. And I suspect more individuals will quit this year due to no pay increases again, of course unless you can qualify for an award thats only eligible to the chosen ones.

Econ 101 some of you must have slept through. You watched that movie "if you build it they will come." If you bake it they will buy. Only if it has TASTE. Only if it's a craving for it's flavor. Supply versus Demand. Why would you put in pluses for a product if the demand wasn't there? Why waste the money and time and effort? Had anyone heard of market saturation? Price of elasticity? Used to have folks come up and talk about their craving for a raspberry zinger or a snowball. If it has no taste, taste like paste...no one wants it. Come on now you should have seen this coming.

YOu ran this company just like you did CBC and have now achieved the same result - Failure. We are being broken up into small regional labels again, only difference they are now with different owners. Stock is gone - under the reorganization and remaining business (1/10th of orginal) will be issuing new stock. Thanks, Sullivan, Ellsser, Yarick, Robb for stealing us blind and only getting a slap on the wrist by the SEC. As of today, many good people are now un-employed thanks to the above idioits and with now severance or benefits. Some only days/months away from retirement.

Tulsa Bakery is a piece of shit and a hellhole. Every department is managed by people that have severe problems from drug addiction to alcoholic problems and even severe gambling and book making operations ran by managers. Product is at the worst I've ever seen in 20 years and everyone could careless as long as their checks don't bouce. Every smart middle manager has left and what we have left is those losers so up to their ass in debt that all they can do is hold on and steal the bakery blind !! All the new hires don't have a clue what their in for, it's SCARED STRAIGHT all over again. The managers arer either letting you fail and screw yourself or in the case of Steve Yaws he's just trying to put his Bi-Polar dick in your ass or cunt to get a nut. Don't cum to Tulsa it's a big FUCKFEST here. Be thankful you guys who left in the last couple years, cause its really, really bad now !!

This could be the best reality TV ever. Donald Trump should buy IBC and turn it into a series. He could rebuild the brands and regain lost brand name recognition while having competent (and incompetent) people compete for Executive and Managerial positions. The first season could include the existing management competing against different people such as new college grads, the homeless, route sales reps, and experienced business managers for the best new business model. The winners get to go onto a second season where they would compete by region for the best business results. For example, we could have the Northeast compete with California. Even though the markets are completely different, we could see who could apply the exact same marketing plan to these two different regions and blame the managers and the sales reps for the one that makes the least amount of money. The consumers would want their region to win so they would go out and buy tons of IBC products!!! Imagine if the entire television audience of the Northeast and California decided to compete and make their favorites IBC managers win!!! The money would roll in!!! The loser gets sold to Weston, or Bimbo or becomes ID’s. (these are actually the winners, but they won’t know it until later…it’s a surprise ending) The competition would be a weekly hour long commercial loaded with entertainment for all!!! Just picture The Donald out on the Market saying “YOU’RE FIRED” to the sales people with the highest returns…regardless of whether they were plussed tons of product or if the just didn’t order well!!! Watch them try to explain that to the Trumpster!!! Now that’s entertainment. That’s what sells television… and maybe some bread and cake. The weekly union grievance meetings could become the surprise spin-off series; unfortunately few would believe that they were not scripted because they are actually stranger than fiction. If IBC would just look at the silver lining in all of this and look outside of the pan, they could be back on top in no time. Good Luck my friends…I hope you pull it off….but keep your eye’s and ears open and don’t be afraid of life without IBC…..it’s pretty damn good.

On June 5, 2007, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri (the "Bankruptcy Court") entered an order approving an employment agreement (the "Agreement") for Kent B. Magill, the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Interstate Bakeries Corporation (the "Company"), and a named executive officer of the Company. The Company had previously submitted the Agreement to the Bankruptcy Court for approval on May 31, 2007. Subsequently, the Company and Mr. Magill entered into the Agreement. However, per the terms of the Agreement, it did not become effective until entry of a Bankruptcy Court order approving the Agreement, which occurred on June 5, 2007 (the "Effective Date"). The Agreement has retroactive effect as if it were entered into on April 25, 2007. The material terms of the Agreement are set forth below. Position, Duties and Location. Mr. Magill will serve as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the Company. Mr. Magill will report solely and directly to the board and the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Mr. Magill will have all authorities, duties and responsibilities customarily exercised by an individual serving as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in a corporation of the size and nature of the Company and its subsidiaries. Term. The term of Mr. Magill's employment will be for a period commencing on the Effective Date and ending on the third anniversary of the Effective Date; provided, however, that the Term shall thereafter be automatically extended for additional one-year periods unless either the Company or Mr. Magill gives the other written notice at least 120 days prior to the then-scheduled date of expiration of the Term that such Party is electing not to so extend the Term (it being understood that Mr. Magill will continue to serve through the then-scheduled date of expiration of the Term in the event that such a notice is given). Salary. Mr. Magill will receive an initial annual base salary of $375,000. During the Term, Mr. Magill's base salary will be reviewed at least annually by the compensation committee of the Company's board of directors on or before May 1 of each year (beginning with May 1, 2008, for the Fiscal Year ending in 2009) and may be increased (but not decreased) from time to time as shall be determined by the compensation committee. Bonuses. During the Term, in addition to any bonus to which Mr. Magill is entitled to pursuant to the Company's existing Fiscal Year 2007 Management Incentive Plan, beginning with the Company's fiscal year ending in 2008, Mr. Magill will be eligible to receive an annual performance-based cash bonus award pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Company's annual performance bonus plan, if any. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Upon the Company's emergence from Chapter 11 proceedings or in certain other circumstances, Mr. Magill will be entitled to receive a special cash award (the "Enhanced Enterprise Value Award") equal to 0.125% of Total Enterprise Value (as defined in the Agreement) in excess of $750 million. In addition to the Enhanced Enterprise Value Award, Mr. Magill shall be entitled to another special cash award (the "Total Enterprise Value Over Claims Award"; and together with the Enhanced Enterprise Value Award, the "Special Awards") equal to 0.125% of Total Enterprise Value in excess of an amount equal to the sum of: (i) $750 million, plus (ii) 95% of the Triggered Contingent Claims Amount (as defined in the Agreement). Notwithstanding the foregoing formulas, each of the Enhanced Enterprise Value Award and the Total Enterprise Value Over Claims Award shall separately be limited to $375,000 (for a total award of $750,000 if both limits are reached). Equity. Mr. Magill will be granted an equity interest in the Company at the same time as all other Persons who, or which, are to be equity holders of the Company in accordance with any confirmed plan of reorganization or liquidation for the Company, receive their equity in the Company, in accordance with any management stock incentive plan adopted in conjunction with any such plan. Employee Benefits and Perquisites. During the Term, Mr. Magill and, to the extent permissible under the applicable plans and programs, his eligible dependents shall be eligible to participate in all employee benefit and welfare plans and programs applicable to senior executives of the Company and its subsidiaries generally, including medical/dental and hospitalization plans, life insurance, short- and long-term disability programs, accidental death and dismemberment protection, travel accident insurance, and pension (including any 401(k) plan), savings, profit-sharing and deferred compensation plans, in each case at a level and on terms and conditions consistent with his po

Merita news is not a rumor, Drakes will be next and the labels will continue to be sold. Wonder/Hostess will be on one truck nationwide and routes will be sold. Unions have no control over this as long as the feds ok it. Remember as long as we are in bankruptcy the feds have the last word. If you don't want to own a route you better start looking, of course I don't see why anyone would want to buy into this company with its track history. Regional meetings on Weds. RSR meetings to follow, Depending on the area you are in,3-9 months. If you don't agree prove me wrong.

Re...Old Dog in Oakland: So you say shutup and do your job. You are correct, we do get a paycheck and benefits. But theres a reason we are UNION. Its for benefits, pay and FAIRNESS. That is the key word "fairness". .......This place does not operate on fairness or qualifactions, it operates on politics, whos friends with who and we (the foremen) don't want just anyone in certain positions. If the shipping Managers had a NUTSACK they would take the control away from the foremen and do the job themselves. I think 2 of the 3 managers would like to see things done properly, but their hands are tied because of #1. .......There is a reason foremen are not managers. Its because you don't fit the criteria or have the qualifications. So, take your own advice and do the job you were hired for and leave the managing to the managers. You are not MANAGERS IN TRAINING, you are WORKING FOREMEN and they don't manage. Now, before you get pissed off, just think about what I said. Don't take it personal. You created this monster and only you can fix it. .....If these games were not being played, this website would not exist......

Are they stooting a video down there and going to call it "Bakers Gone Wild" You all need to make sure you are all wearing your personal safety equipment on everyday, Bump Cap, Hearing Protection, Hair Net or Breard Bags and a Muzzle over your mouth so that no bad words come out. What about the one thats offended by all this shop talk, give him an extra heavy duty pair of Hearing Protection so that he does not hear all the stuff thats getting everyone in trouble, or send him back to Henderson?

Anonymous in Decatuar? Comment: this company could save alot of money if we did away with the production manager in Decatuar. Listen up you little BCTW maggot, if the Proiduction Manager or Assistant has to come down and show you what to do, you don't know your job and should be fired immediately. We are not babysitters. Why is it the BCTW needs to have someone standing over there shoulder telling you how to do your job every single day. Are you mentally retarded that you have to be retrained everyday to do a job you do everyday. how many other jobs outside the bakery do you see a manager standing over their employee to make sure they change your oil or check you out at the grocery store or any other occupation? except the bakery worker? why is it the bakery worker has to have someone holding their hand and tell them how to do a good job? The Production Managers job has been eliminated, this position is only a clerk now. His job has changed to gather number and turn them in because his Boss does not know has to use SAP. You BCTW piss-ants make me sick.

To Anon in Sacramento: You get what you were hired for; a paycheck, benefits, healthcare, pension and an optional company contributed 401k. What the hell else do you want. Grant it, distribution managment isn't worth one shit, but if you could do the job, wouldn't you be in that spot if you had any nut sack? Shut up you dumb shits and just do your jobs you were hired to do. You make a good living, in fact you earn more than you should for the jobs performed. Hell, look at the ones in that bakery who hold degrees. If it was such a shitty living, the degree holders wouldn't stay there. Don't worry about upper managers, they'll get what's coming to them in time. Just do your job and do it with a smile on your face, dammit!!!!

To Billy with Flowers: No rumors just the cold hard facts. Warehouses distributing Dolly Madison products to stores. That is just the tip of the iceberg. Tony Alvarez AKA "The turn around artist CEO " laid the ground work for mainstreaming non- Wonder/Hostess products . Instead of selling off the labels" no interest" he decided to let warehouses distirbute all other labels , as far as the cake lines go. Brilliant move on his part , because this was the ongoing process of consolidation of routes. In the end it will be Wonder/Hostess and they will have distribution routes. The new CEO "Mr. Jung" is taking them into the next phase. I was always impressed with Flowers in Texas . You're mgt. team and employees were not only knowledgeable but hard workers that knew the business as well. I rose through the ranks fairly quick and in the end realized it was all about certain individuals making out . They do not work as a team and to succeed at the next level of regaining their role as "leader in the baking industry" , they will have to purge their mgt. level employees and hire qualified individuals as your company has. If that means raiding other companies to do so, then so be it. If this does not happen , then they might as well sell off what is left. It has been a piece by piece dismantling. The union/non union employees just do not want to admit it. Also, Thrift stores have been shuttered across the nation as well. This was a long time in coming. This is just someone looking in from the outside.

Three BBQ's buitl in special projects by engineering. How many more were built and just drove away we will never know. What was the reason for special projects anyway? Who was the supervising engineer over special projects? Does every plant have a special projects department? How did making BBQers fit in with company needs anyway? Does every plant have large BBQers? Reward to the working guys to serve them a BBQ meal every now and then? What happend to the BBQers anyway? Rieber was having Bobby D's cater all the time instead. If sold, did IBC get the proceeds? Are they rented out to management for their BBQs? Does Pat Buck have one in his back yard or at one of his kid's house.

To the guy in Springfield, I want to say sorry for calling Springfield a rat hole the way I did. To single it out as a rat hole buy itself was unfair, right now most of the bakerys are rat holes. I have been gone from the company for a while and the people I talk to don't really know anything. The rumor is that at least one bakery in every P.C. will be closed and the rumor for a while was Staint Louis now it's Springfield but the whole last year I was there it was Denver. The truth is nobody will know until the dicks at Kansas City make the offical announcement. Up until then anything can change, we already know they don't have enough brains to make smart decisions, if they did they wouldn't have the most fucked up company in America. Thats one reason I left. But really even a layman knows you can't stay in bankruptsy forever and you can't come out of it losing anywhere from 5 mil to 10 mil every 4 WEEKS. Really people there are other jobs out there if you don't want to get screwed LEAVE now!!!! When this ship goes down there won't be any money for anyone - especially employees.

Comment: Dear Flowers or Bimbo; Back a few years ago you offered to buy IBC. Proud IBC wanted more monies than you were willing to shell out. A word of advice if you see a bargain here for IBC. DO NOT OFFER A CONTRACT FOR IBC MGMT longer then six months. That\'s how Ralston Purina got rid of their fat ass do nothing managers when IBC bought Hostess. Their contracts were open for duration and those Hostess took down IBC because they were not expected to show any improvements in their performance. Your contracts should be based on performance and they only get six months to prove themselves. If at the end of six months no improvements, DEEP SIX them. Also pull their personel files if they started out as Ralston Purina don\'t offer them anything and save yourself the agravation. Just a thought. I kinda like the idea of wearing a name tag with Flowers or Bimbo on it anymore.

He was great to work for , until the tables turned and he backstabbed every single mgr. that he could . Then as the saying goes I took the money and ran.I rarely post on here anymore , because most of the posts are from absoulute idiots. They used to say my posts were negative, but this site is now ridiculous.

How do you figure having distributorships is going to save the company ?? The promotions will still be wrong and you'll order product that isn't on sale but then it will be YOUR product to lose money on, not the company's. The quality will still suck or get even worse. The missing product or wrong codes will affect the distributors income. IBC management either doesn't give a damn or is too stupid to fix these problems when it is costing IBC. Why do you think they will miraculously change when it is costing the distributor ???? Who is stupid enough to buy a route with absolutely no guarantee these major problems won't continue and knowing IBC's lack of concern for us now, they won't give a f--- about us if we are eating the cost of the stale. Hell, they will probably intentionally tell us about phony sales so they can keep up their bakeries tonnage. You better think about buying a distributorship from those liars and thieves.

Independent distributors....sounds good on paper except when they learn how to cheat you. Making claims of being short each week. Even when the distribution manager followed the truck from the plant and knew there were no shortages. Not turning in stale claims on various stores becuz that cuts into the shipping distributors revenue. Yes it's a great idea. When the stores pay the charges with the returns deducted and some folks just pd the damn differences instead of charging the stale credit back against the distributors.....How is it again IBC is making money with this method again?

Ed Rumple is the reason all the good engineers -some with over 20 years in left for other jobs, he belittles people shoves them, talks down to them, yells and screams then blames them for his fuck ups and there are plenty of them. Just another reason this company is about to go away, they promote people who they know are bi-polar and they know he is because they have sent him to anger-management and he has been on probation so many times you can't count all of them. If Jim Hutton makes Rumple Chief Engineer it will prove what I always said about him being a dumb ass. If Hutton was smart he would bring Dennis Miller down from Springfield to be cheif engineer because there are getting ready to shut that rat hole down anyway.
