TO ALL TEAMSTERS RSR,we're all going to have to take this huge cut and there's nothing we can do about it,you see, teamsters made the hourly people's contract with 2.5% wage increases yearly, their also get a bonus at the end of the yr. as well, the reason why it will pass is because there are more hourly folks then rsr,we have no say so in the matter,i say we ask for seperate contracts from their''s,the last concessions we took was because of this same situation, more hourly people, why wouldn't they vote it in,their getting all the increases while we take it up the as again,i'm pissed aren't you?this week when you have your meeting, talk to your BA about it,i know i am.

Tom in Buffalo; you are correct, they can't get on without us no matter what type of distribution they want. It's about time we stood up for ourselves and voted 'No'. I have six years myself to get the 'Golden 85' but I can't take cuts like they're asking. I'd lose over $30,000 (at least) by the time I hit the 85. And I still have two to go in college. Can't do it. Vote NO.

I'm sure most of the Union has received their letters regarding an IBC proposal that we have to vote yea or nay. Let me tell you what will happen: you will work longer, harder hours for $115 to $215 per week less; jobs will be streamlined; after Jung pronounces we are solvent again and you're taking a pay cut--all the supervisors get a hefty raise. What to do? If we vote it down and the company disbands, do you really believe that Wonder and Hostess products will die? Don't think so. Someone (who needs workers in ALL areas) will buy the brand names. Yes, we might have to go on unemployment for a while. But it won't be for long and we will survive. Otherwise, all of you who made $50,000+ last year, get ready to make $40,000 next year and less the year after. Now if you have three years or left for full retirement, this is a bitter pill to swallow and I don't expect you to agree with me. But anyone with more than three years, vote it down. Believe me, we'd be getting screwed. Good luck in your decision.

I'm sure most of you have received your letter from Union outlining IBC proposals in order to 'survive'. Can we all get together here, stop with the cursing, ranting and raving and just think as a Union? If we vote yes to this request, we will lose from $115 to $215 per week. If you're making $100,000 a year that doesn't hurt. But if you're like most of the drivers, you're in the $50-60,000 range and that will hurt. You will work longer, harder hours for less money. And no matter how anyone masks it, IBC will have gone around the contract because we gave them permission. I'm not a hard liner but we have to all come together and vote this down. Do you really believe that Wonder bread and Hostess products will just die? No. We can either deliver them independantly, or IBC will suddenly come up with a new plan. Now, if you have three years or less for full retirement this would be a bitter pill to swallow. Anything more than that you're just hurting youself. Do you have children? Are you at all educated on the cost of college? Gas will be $4 a gallon which means other prices will also rise. Even if we all need to go on unemployment for a while (which we're entitled to) we will win out. What can management do without a company. Is a General really a General if he has no troops? Let's do some thinking on this one and vote it down. Thank you and good luck.

Jung didn't get a 28 page contract for nothing, folks. Like I said before, the man will make out, and he stands to get MORE if the Company is sold. You see, his net gain is cemented in TWO ways...pulling the company out of bankruptcy, OR seeng it sold off. FROM PAGE ONE of the illustrious Mr. Volpe's letter titled "Highlights of the Proposed Modification Agreement To Local Agreements Between Interstate Brands Corporation and Local Union Affiliates of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters" (first paragraph, line 7) "When our many and exhaustive attempts in mid-2007 to reach further agreements with new IBC management failed, largely due to its steadfast demand for total authority to implement any and all delivery schemes that would destroy long-standing Teamster jobs, the Conference sought other interested parties to aid our efforts to assist IBC emerge from bankruptcy. Over the past two months, we have met with a group of bakery professionals who have a history of dealing with Teamsters. After more than a dozen meetings and countless conferences, we have reached tentative agreement for a cokprehensive IBC-IBT Modification Agreement that provides the best possibility for the survival of Interstate Brands and more than 9000 Teamsters jobs." FLY< and ALL the rest of you, can you please point out to me where ANY of this was negotiated WITH IBC? I see that Mr. Volpe is still running around the OOUTSIDE, tryiing to strike his OWN deals, with whomever will listen...that is, everyone BUT IBC. Nowhere in this document does it state that ANY of this was negotiated WITRH IBC. This is ANOTHER example of Volpe mistakenly thinking the TEAMSTERS run the Company. Volpe's contracts are with IBC...not whomever he chooses to negotiate with. His "group of bakery professionals" do not represent IBC.

True Roy, but so has every other CEO this company has EVER had, that is clearly the definition of CEO - one who pads his retirement while asking others to work at the bottom of their pay bracket - so why pick on him. He was the CEO of several very successful companies. i don't need to be able to play baseball, or even ever have played the game, to know how to play it and coach a winning team. End of the day success makes him more rich and with profit sharing lines the rest of our pockets as well.

No Tulsa he isn't going to tell Jennifer, but he is going to tell you -right?! Now that makes sense. Volpe is not in charge of anything, Jung is. Why again, when they are the ones making all the money, would the board and Jung agree to something that causes harm to them. They can just as easily liquidate and walk away rich and move on to another company who has employees who are smart enough to want their butts saved.

By the way the person they are negotiating with is Craig - he can just liquidate - why would he negotiate himself out of a job? And why would any intelligent investment firm - like Ripplewood - want to get into bed with a company where the EMPOYEES can arbitrarily get rid of managements and ask for new ones? Being that the agreement IBT sent IBC takes more out of your pockets than IBC asked for but still allows the every thing Jung has asked for - what exactly is the supposed problem with him - you proposed back what he asked for and cut yourselves more?!!???! Plus boonie would not be in such a fun flip mood if the ax was headed towards upper management.

They decided to put the pressure on Volpe to get a deal done before the next date on behalf of IBC. Silverwood is part of the very group that asked for Jung. Further more, all of you Jung hating morons, He has only been with us a year. Once again let me remind you he is not the one who put us here but the one who is having to do the dirty work and pull us out. And by dirty work I mean ask for cuts from ALL employees. Many, MANY management have lost their jobs and no one in management has received a raise in the last couple of years. Yeah there a are a few people making a buttload of money but the majority of manager don't make very much more, and sometimes less, than teamsters. No one likes it but don't shoot the messanger.

It says terminated without cause and he has not started getting payed yet and what a lowly 900,00. Do you really think that is that much monet to a company like ripplewood who has billions, and for your information silverpoint has agreed besides a few minor details.Yes it will be sent to the creditors for approval. If you didn't know they have quit talking to the company. Without the teamsters the company can't get the loan from silverpoint why do think they started talking to the teamsters. That is right from Rich Volpe's mouth

It WILL cost IBC MEGA $$$$ to ask him to step down. Besides, what you are reading from the TEAMSTERS is NOT an "agreement" with IBC. It is a PROPOSAL that they have sent to IBC. IBC has NOT responded to the Teamsters' proposal.

As always the teamster members only focus on their own personal needs. They could care less about the group at large. Look at what they say as individuals and you can understand why the company is where it is. I can't pay mu bills now, well spend less/ I am 3 years from retirement and don't want to look around/The union is screwing the members/ the union is sticking it to IBC/Jung is an idiot/Jung is the man. If you want an effective union then act like one. Unify for the COMMON GOOD not you own personal needs. This is why the unions have such a bad reputation. Selfishness...

ok here is the deal ...simple yes or no for the teamsters....we vote no liquidation is inevitable.......if we vote yes we have the 1000 dollar drag that is cut in half when the company makes 100 mil in a year and completly gone when the company makes 200 mil a year (2)Health care cost will go up like 10 or 15 dollars if you have cigna( plus more for prescriptions and other crap)(3) the teamsters will own 15 percent of the company. (which will be invested and returned to each teamster apon quiting, retirement or leaveing the company). My stuart told me they think that will be about 5000 a year per union member. This info was in my handheld dock when i got to work at 4 this morning....theres more but thats the nuts and bolts of it

The company also said in a regulatory filing that it had $187.4 million in sales during the period. IBC filed for bankruptcy protection in September 2004, citing declining sales, a high fixed-cost structure, excess industry capacity, rising employee health-care and pension expenses, and higher costs for ingredients and energy. IBC is a joke! They have no business being in business. I worked at that hole for 60 days. They couldn't provide proper training. A company so large has no training program or guides? How dumb! The trucks need to be crushed. In 2007 I drove a truck that they still had from 1981. That piece was a classic. Most the trucks need to be decommissioned. The last 15 days of work I broke down 9 times. I had to carry my own tools so I could do roadside repairs. The mechanics were awarded the name the band aid bergade. Everything was fixed with bubblegum. The last time I broke down (re-tread came apart) the fleet manager passed me on the side of the Interstate and kept going. They called a wrecker to pick up a truck that needed a tire service. There isn't a tire company that would deal with them because IBC doesn't pay their bills. After we got towed in the Tow Truck driver almost had to take the truck back to his yard because the IBC credit card was declined. It was a $200 tow. My last paycheck was short. It took 3 weeks to cut another check for me. I had tons of bills go late because of IBC. I was supposed to get insurance after my 30 days. I got nothing. 2 month later I got a package for COBRA. They also screwed me out of over $500 in millage. I hope they go out of business. I boycott them every time I go to the supermarket.

I, too, have just a couple more years to retire and though not happy with concessions I realize that this company is in BANKRUPTCY and if anyone is to remain employed you must be willing to accept concessions or move on. This isn't exactly rocket science! Maybe enough people will begin to realize this when they start searching for other employment opportunities. In case you haven't been paying attention, the US is in the beginning at least of a recession and you might be better off staying where you are at. If you don't think so then feel free to leave and better yourself. Absolutely nothing is holding you here. Judging from reading many of the posts on this site, many of the most vocal company bashers might do well to utilize the time off to return to school and improve their language and spelling skills. When folks like fly and others get to within a short distance til retirement, they will see things a whole lot differently providing Walmart still offers a retirement plan then.

First you're all giddy because you think your Union is sticking it to the company, then you're all pissed off because you find that your union broke it off in YOUR ass!! But don't listen to anything I've tried to tell you...told you silly shits a long time ago....been there, done that. I KNOW how it works. Did you REALLY think Hoffa and Volpe were going to just piss the income derived from the dues of 9000 workers away? So...no PTM until 2010...just when JUNG said it would happen....you saved $5 a week on your dues but give up commission on the first $1000 in sales each week. Sounds to me like the better number would have been $20 on the medical....Management stays the same...Craig Jung wins again....AND, even if he does leave, he makes out like a bandit on the way oout the door. Go look at his 28 page contract, you idiots. It will cost a LOT more to get rid of him than it will cost to keep him here. AND, he eventually gets PTM. So tell me again...how did your almighty Union stick it to the Company?

Listen up, anyone reading the newspaper or watching Lou Dobbs lately? Real Estate market, gas prices, National Debt, Nafta, jobs outsourced overseas, GM, Ford, Chrysler,Trade deficit..especially with China, our Politicians are selling our selling the Country and the Middle Class out!!! This supposed pay cut of 100 per week isn't pretty but it gives thousands of Middle Class Americans GOOD PAYING JOBS WITH EXCELLENT HEALTH BENEFITS!! Jungs beef with the Teamsters cost 1300 people their jobs here in SO Cal. The job market is only 10-11 dollars per hour..you can find these all day long but to find a job that pays 800 per week..well good luck because not many of those exist. Now after the shock of taking a pay cut do some research and you'll find out that we will retain our jobs and hopefully with new MGMNT!! We live to fight another day while still making above average wages!! We get to look forward with a new owner and can focus on selling our products...that will be improved with new ownership. New Owners, New Mgmnt, their investing their money in US the WORKFORCE!! Once again, look around, pay attention, focus, and things will become clearer about the future!!! It's 2008, times are extremely tough right now..Its easy to be negative and you have the option to Quit! However if you stay thenbe part of the solution!!! Thanks, Tom

I will believe we are sold as soon as either a) boonville says it is so (he hasn't been wrong yet) or b) it is posted via internet or newspaper. Until then y'all are just a bunch of cluckin hens.

we are being asked as a group to make concessions of close to 50 million a year in order for the union to keep its 5 million in union dues. I'm not bashing the union but this is a substantial hit to all of us. But in order to protect our jobs we don't have much of a choice do we? If it's too big of a hit move on and find employment with someone else. This is kinda like the old gambling addage of throwing good money after bad.

The post by Illinois Teamster is correct. One notible exception is that your weekly cut is limmited to 100.00 per week. That is regardlesss how much it would be on the thousand dollar drag. Brothers & Sisters I agree that its a chunk of change each week & noone wants to give this back but if you want you can opt out with a ten grand buyout. Walk away but don't vote it down for those who wish to keep thier jobs.

To begin recouping that share you will have to heavily discount already over-promoted tired brands. It\'s a downward spiral. Old plants, old equipment, old management. This dog is better relegated to second tier now than to watch the inevitable slow excruciating death of the brands.

As soon as the teamsters can reliably post any information regarding the proposal they will. Some basic tidbits are that we are being bought out by an individuals holding company, the individual has some roots in the industry and some key followers to rely on. There are going to be some major concessions in order for this to be approved and that's why the unions haven't been able to post it on the website. This has to be brought to the membership in order to move forward. Paperwork is with the locals and the membership will be informed of the risks and rewards.

The reason nothing is being posted by the Teamster is that a majority of locals must agree to the master contract by Friday. (we won't be sold off if this agrred to)If they do agree to this master contract then it will be presented to the members next week. If they don't by the March court date this company will be sold off piece by piece. No job security for anybody. Now the thousand dollar drag doesn't sound so bad does it? The company has the option to go back into the markets that they have pulled out of & if they do then they must call back teamster workers laid off. That's about it in a nutshell although some profit sharing options are tied to the thousand dollar drag.

there is an agrement in place between the teamsters and ibc but from the info that i have recieved it is for the basic sell of the company to a new board of directors with current managment in place for the time being we will have 60 days for a mail in ballot to aprove the new agreement . posts are right it does include a 1000 drag but it also included a 2% increase to base each year thryu 2014 and a 10.oo weekly increase to insurance after tthe current colective bargning agreament expires. in like 4 years and does not allow any bulk del or "path to market" until 2010 also at that time if it igoes into being guarentee will be for 42 weeks and anyone can elect at that time to exit the company with a 10,000 severence. sorry about the spelling i cant type that fast with out making some mistakes

Intersting scenario about to play out with the company.Within the next week the unions will be getting to the membership with the proposal going forward with path to market scrapped and new leadership. Look to the union websites this afternoon for more information. Most to receive a ballot on the proposal soon as it requires concessions but also provides for the future.

DARRON SIMMONS CALL ME. I 'm in the Sacramento book. For ALL others. DROP SHIPMENT IS THE GOAL. The brands will remain. The plants will not. We're looking at the new Southwest IBC. Henderson and Sacramento BREAD bakeries. I'm NOT talking about cake here. THE IBC PLAN: To consolidate by selling off prime real estate in central urban areas that have high commerical resale value to reduce debt. And we see in the markets IBC has or had plants. To update the distribution system including DROP SHIPMENT to reduce overhead and have more product "in the back to restock the shelfs" of your local Wal-Mart, etc. Finally, in Bankruptcy, stall on every deadline concerning a plan to exit Bankruptcy and carry that plan on to all issues that follow, including you. It's that simple. You vote against your own best interest with Bush and then get lied into war and you say nothing. You allow your employer to use the largest urban geographical area in this country to circumvent your unions and you do nothing. Look, prime real estate is for sale. You used to work there. There is alot of equipment in those plants. You ran those machines. Word out of Sacramento SARA LEE Human Resources is "no comment on the purchase of one of IBC's Southern California plants, but the people that worked there are won't be back." That was 45 days ago (approx). Inside that same plant middle management openly talks of the new Socal bakery opening soon. This is a win-win for IBC, Flowers, Bimbo, SARA LEE, etc. IBC gets drop shipment from Sac and NV; Sara Lee upgrades it's distribution system and has a ready to go plant in place. WAKE UP! HOW DID SARA LEE GET ALL OF THAT SHELF SPACE IN SOCAL? THEY WEREN'T THERE 60 MONTHS AGO. It normally takes years to build that type of business. Bimbo needs a high speed plant to produce all that Webers bread. They too benefit from the infrastructure already in place and only have to upgrade the distribution system in a closed plant as well. If you have taken severance, you must move on. It's not healthy to hang on to the past. Get training asap. I worked in Glendale 18 years. I also work for IBC in Sac. This is what I had to do. I am being real. I'm not putting any of you down. In the future don't let some wedge issue like gay marriage distract you when you cast your vote, look for the best person to keep your life secure and will ensure that corporations don't gang-up on their employees. This is a travesty and it is real. For the rest of you in this buisness around this country, this IS your future. It unfold before you. To my Glendale bruhs: peace. Dave Coss you ole whore.

If you do not care for the information, then kiss my a$$, just trying to keep all informed of the activity here since we all are waiting for the other shoe to drop. At least here we are still waiting on some official or unoffical news about the negotiations between labor and IBT - Cook and Vople have been meeting hot and heavy for the last two weeks. Again Hodkins if you do not like what I tell this board then kiss my A$$.

Boonville, MO I have been reading the shit that spiels off your post’s for quite some time. I have been trying to figure out what position you could possibly hold with this company that you would have the knowledge that you claim to have and still have the inclination to take so much time out to post here on our wonderful board . I have been keeping track of your predictions over these past month’s and all I got to say is Don’t go to Vegas you’ll be brook before you know it. Your arrogance and one track mind first led me to believe you were management. Obviously lower level management. But after re-reading some of your post and figuring the fact of how much pleasure you arrive from the misfortunes of “people”. Along with all the other notes I made I am ready to take a guess. You were a Route Sales rep who at one time was given a depot manager job. You went gung ho and over board rite from the start. You did a below average job and was put back on a route. You blamed this on your district manager thinking he was afraid you would get his job. I would guess you latter went out on workers comp and you now are drawing some kind of a disability check .

Well as usual there is just a lot of gossip going on here. Paulette not sure who you are sleeping with but NOTHING has been posted by the Union, a third party buyer, the finance company or IBC about a sale of the company. While an agreement MAY have been reached it is highly unlikely. Any sale of the company COULD NOT be made official today as the call was about negotiations. Any sale of the company would become official after court approval on the 12th

Look all Iam saying is that on the last contract we gave back our PA's that was on average 135 a week out of our paychecks here. Some areas did not give up their PA's. Path to Market was not the answer we all know that but another 105 dollars a week is starting to hurt. Better quality product is a start and better price point promos will start to kick sales. Hey it might sound as if I'm whining but all I'm rerally doing is stating a fact.

If this is true with those concessions in the last three years i will have taken a hit of close to 10,000 dollars. Not everyone in California makes 90,000 a year. Untill we see the actual contract I have probably spoken out of turn but I hope it is not the case. Increasing sales on a product line that is priced well beyond 4 dollars a loaf is not an easy task when you take into consideration the price of PL and the the current economic conditions.

The pay... will honor all raises made in last agreements until 2010. 2010 to 2014, will give us 2-1/2% a year. Then they will negotiate a normal contract. There will NOT be any PTM. Mr Entenanman is smart enough to know, it won't work for us.

We already pay 20 dollars a week for insurance. I wonder if the new deal is 15 more dollars on top of the 20 dollars we already pay.

Cunningham was seeking to stab Obama in the back with his rhetoric but ended up putting the knife in the back of McCain instead. What genepool did this Idiot come from? Now McCain will spend tons of money and time making amends to the American public rather than on his Presidential campaign. IMUS, move over sir! You have company!

Comment: At this point, I believe its entirely safe to say that IBC is dead meat! So lets move on to someone who is still living in the public eye like Obama and Hillary! Both of them are busy taking on additional forms of endorsements and going on about each others lifestyles without end these days. Each one hopes to catch the other one sleeping and in their campaign headlights like a deer walking about in the dark ages. The Old Man of the Sea, McCain is busy treading a paper trail of past events in his political life and wants only to be elected our next President. Bringing up the rear guard, we find Huck and Nader stealing whatever, including the noted candidates votes listed above. None of these so-called front runners want to talk turkey when it comes to illegals, health care or reforms! My only hope lies in the possibility that Mother Nature or Father Time will act favorably upon our Nation because no living person today is really in charge of making change take place. Without change, our Nation is lost! No Care Health Care, No Speak English, No Care Workers Comp, No Jobs, No Middle Class are only the beginning of the end to America.

It amazes me how you can make a blanket statement that all upper management is stupid and responsible for all the problems at IBC. This situation is the making of EVERYONE. The unions have created this as much as any other factor. There are good and bad people on both sides. Everyone needs to take a more balanced look at the problems. In any conflict there is enough blame from both sides. We need to stop looking and bitching about the past and move forward to get out from under this cloud. Get out together!

NO.whats the sense in having union representation if it's not going to benifit us in any way,the union knows this and will bring somthing voteable,if thats even a word,if not then were done with them as well. All you union people out here, will you vote on something that will reduce our income by half only to keep a job that might pay your debts?lets take a poll now union people, stand united and show boonie just what he's up against.and as for the comment of it's ok if it's going into our pockets, their income is MUCH higher than ours, you took 400 450 a month last time, how much more do you need?if you take 100dollars a wk from a person making (take home)$600,or take $100 from a guy who's making 2000wk,who can afford it more?who's it going to hurt more?need i say more?

Pomona///// You're too typical of too many in lower management.............most likely only there because they couldn't get anyone else to take the job. Now your totally absorbed by your own perceived importance. If you were as smart as you pretend you would realize that your wage and benefit package is closely tied to those you supervise. You can be sure if they are paid $5.00 hr you can only hope for $6.00. If they make $15 then you might make $18. You need to educate yourself and pull for an increase for them if you hope to gain for yourself!

GIVE your BA a call...ask him if he has a conference call at 2:00PM Tomorrow, with the International, to discuss the status of negotiations with IBC and the movement toward settlement. It appears that the International has come to its senses....realizes that their best option is to reach a settlement. Looks like Hoffa and Volpe are pretty smart, too!! If they reach a tentative agreement and YOU vote it down, then THEY can say that it wasn't "their" fault...it was the workers who said "no". I'm sure companies will be clamoring to hire about 9000 people who VOTED their own jobs away! As for the bonuses? So what? The creditors and Teamsters filed objections? Big deal. Is this the first "objection" that the Teamsters filed? How many times have they been successful with their "objections"? And for the record, I never came out and stated that I AGREED with paying bonuses. I responded to others' posts regarding the bonuses, but never stated I agreed with it.

the creditors are expected to turn down the plan because of the increase in flour and gas and the cost of doing business. that means it will take alot longer to become profitable and thus get their money.I FIGURE THAT IBC CANT TURN A PROFIT NOW UNTILL ABOUT 2012.

The word i heard is that ibt and ibc now have a middle man to help work things out..... My thoughts are this: If i was in either position form the begining of this i would have played it just as IBC and Teamsters did (Ask for the world and Not give up any concessions). Now its just as simple as numbers. IBT wants 100 and Teamsters wants 0. So now this negotiator will try to get it to 50....If it dont happen liquidation is probably inevitable. But there is one thing that you can count on.. whomever buys this will need at least some of the workers to deliver cake and bread.

DEFIANCE: Look at how "management" is classified in the later posting...the 2/3 vs. 1/3 number includes ALL employees who are NOT unionized. The second posting breaks the number out further. THOUGHT: You are echoing a concern about the program that is unclear from the Company's documents submitted to the Court. Athough the documents "identify" 512 employees eligible for the bonuses, it generically describes "titles" which are eligible, without indicating at what "level" of the organization they are at. It is entirely conceivable that the employees who will actually receive a bonus MAY all be at the Corporate level, down to the Business Unit level. Just as it is ALSO conceivable that the bonuses may be given all the way down to the plant level. At the PRESENT time, it is unclear exactly WHO will be getting a bonus. The Production Manager you speak of may or may NOT be receiving a bonus. It is unclear based on the information provided by the Company int he Court filing.

Salt Lake, That is one of the problems with the bonus program. The production manager is bad and is a grade 10 so he will get a bonus. I am sure he has a one or two assistants below him that are very good and are a grade 8 once again they get nothing. After getting shafted for the past four years its a no wonder most of the grade 8's have left the company and they are the people that do most of the work.

I think the company will be here for a long time. What need to happen is they need to have the proper people running there plants! If you want to see a badly ran plant come to Salt Lake City. The production manager is the worst . That where the company need to make there changes so it can move forward and make this a better place to work.

The ACTUAL numbers are about 21000 what are considered "hourly" employees...these include the Bakers, Teamsters, and "other" Unions, including those who are not Unionized. The actual number of "management" personnel is right around 3000, which in a company of 24000 is just about right. To the poster regarding the number of Management personnel eligible for bonuses...you are right...there s no doubt about that. Think back to last year. Same thing, same group of people. The issue of which "management" is an argument for another time. My statements were directly to those who think that none of management has taken any concessions, nor deserves a bonus. But you are right...there are layers of Management that are being left out. No doubt about it. Like I said, though...the argument of "management" versus "management" is a discussion for another time. To the UAW person (2828): Your contract is being voided because of your pension plan with the intent of negotiating a new plan in its place. It is not because of anything your Union, Local, or employees did. It is based solely on the fact that there are problems with the ABA Plan and potential liabilities attached to that plan because of things Sara Lee is doing with the plan. TOP DOG: Fahgittaboutit!! The Teamsters don't have anything, because no one is interested in doing "business' with the Teamsters. Their lone shot was Burkle/Bimbo, and the Teamsters screwed that one all up. FLY: If you could read you would see that I have posted things here on this board well BEFORE they happened. let's see...TWO weeks before Bimbo announced they were out of the Teamsters/Burkle deal, I posted it here. TRIED to tell you what was coming...but no....the Teamsters did such a swell job of keeping their members informed that you fools still thought up until the time Burkle presented his "intentions" to the court while Bimbo formally announced their withdrawal from the "group" at the SAME time. I posted long ago regarding unratified cntracts and the Company's possible next moves (INCLUDING the possibility of voiding contracts) and late last week they did exactly that. I posted LONG ago about the dangers and problems with pension plan liabilities and no one wanted to hear it. They all claimed that the pension plans were safe...and last week the Company petitions the court to void EIGHT union contracts because of the 80 million dollar LIABILITY to the ABA Plan. I posted on this board that the Judge WOULD in fact approve the Company's Disclosure Statement and AMENDED Reorganization Plan, and you all thought that just because the Teamsters and Burkle filed an "objection" and that IBC had not yet reached agreement with the Teamsters that the court would not approve it. Meanwhile,Fly, you (and others) come on this board solely to try to provoke and intimidate and show your intelligence level with your witty little comments and personal attacks (neither of which are very good, by the way). You hide behind your key board and try to prove yourself by attacking others and trying to intimidate by swearing and name-calling. And what has it gotten you? Surely you don't feel that you have proven that your are intelligent, or that you have nay specific knowledge of ANYTHIN that is going on, because you haven't made one factual post ye. It is good to know that while posters look to others on this board look for educational and informative information, if there is none of that, at least they can find your "entertainment", huh? Not hard to see why yoou are on the lower end of the totem pole, Fly.

For Booneville--- I am union but not necessarily in full agreement with their position however. I appreciate your obvious inside info and viewpoint although I sometimes question your motivation and am convinced any namecalling is completely counterproductive for any member of management regardless of the reason. It simply reduces you to a lower level. You offer what seems to be the company line of reasoning regarding the fairness of the proposed bonus incentive payment plan. If I use your figures of 1/3 of the workforce being management, that means that approximately 8000 of the 24,000 employees are management employees who likewise have not seen pay raises, had reduced health benefits, and elimination of retirement contributions. Since only 514 management personnel are slated for bonus payments what about the other 7500. Now please let me hear your explanation again about what is fair! Fair for whom?

If Jung is wrong then run him out of town but at least he is bold enough to bring change and this company out of Chapter 11. I didn't see Elsesser or Alvarez do that.

Comment: The best example that I can think of this morning to draw between IBC and their in-house unions joint-failure to stand and deliver-- would be to let prisoners dictate and run their own system of prisons.

It is said you can judge a man like a tree. For the fruit to be good it must have strong and good roots to begin with witch will effect the whole tree and finely the fruit. If a mans fruit or deeds as well are poor how can he have goods roots. If I.B.C ‘s fruits are small ,sparse, and sour to the pallet than would not its roots be short ,dry and week. We would not curse the braches of the tree nor the leaves of a bad tree for its sour fruit . Then why do some of you continue to blame the employees and union for I.B.C.’s lack of harvest?

I was laid off in Oct . drew unemployment for a bit as I took a couple little trips and took care of some things around the house. When it was time I went out and found a job. But now I have this fantasy that I think about a couple times a day. I fantasies that I .B.C. brings bread back to the So. Cal market and starts calling guy’s back to work. I get the phone call and I tell them fuck you ass holes burn in hell you fucking worthless good for nothing piece of Mr.Dung. Don’t ever, ever call my house again or I will come down there and beat your ass in to a pulp. I know it will never happen I.B.C. couldn’t fight its way out of a paper bag . And if it were a company that bought I.B.C. It wouldn’t be the same I would just say no thanks, It will never happen but it sure feels fucking good thinking about it.

To Anon, Northwood. An agreement between the Teamsters and the Company that will satisfy Silver Point and the exit plan. Teamster leaders, Silver Point and the Company have been negotiating through a mediator for a while now. They have reached a tentative agreement that will be announced next week. Path to Market is out. Will be put to vote very soon. Teamsters leaders will recommend ratification.

To Trust Me, What agreement is that you are talking about? Anyone who say's trust me, you know you better be cautious, because they are most likely full of shit.

To Fly, I enjoy reading your posts, however, Could you put a period at the end of your sentences. Or a comma in between thoughts. It would make them much easier to read. Thank You
