I started writing a book three years ago through which I hoped to help people see the artificial and ultimately dehumanizing landscape of corporatism on which we conduct so much of our lives. It’s not just that I saw the downturn coming—it’s that I feared it wouldn’t come quickly or clearly enough to help us wake up from the self-destructive fantasy of an eternally expanding economic frontier. The planet, and its people, were being taxed beyond their capacity to produce. What the hell do you want, Fly? I said a long time ago REAL change starts AFTER exit from BK. Owner/operator is coming, starting Southeast...should be just about the same areas where PTM is starting as a test. In the Know is partially right...you will see a combination of owner/operator and PTM. The rural areas...where you run six or seven towns on a route...will be looking to go owner/operator. The larger metropolitan areas...these will be the PTM areas. PTM won't work where you're running 125-150 miles on a route, and RSR's aren't the answer. For a clue into all of this, re-read your contract where it speaks of "alternative methods of distribution". Unfortunately, FLY....my presnet company is too busy making money for me to be on here posting all of the time. And yes, more closures are coming. And no, IBC doesn't want to get back into the SoCal bread market they abandoned. And yes, there is a REASON Corporate is moving to Dallas.
